  1. Thanks @paulbates for dumbing it down for me, but still no joy. I went through the arduous task of typing in my 64 key and used the exact syntax you laid out, but I just get ""/USER/WEB/INDEX.HTM not found" Your second suggestion is basically what I had already been doing, and it works, except I have to enter my username and password. Every. Single. Time.
  2. @paulbates I've been trying to make this work, but I just can't get it. If I copy "URL to ISY" from the Portal and paste into Chrome, I get "not found". If I copy "Admin Console URL" and paste into Chrome, I get "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." If I use the URL template you gave me, I get "/USER/WEB/index.htm not found". What do you mean by "and then adding the path in the ISY" ? Does this have anything to do with the ISY setting "Enable Internet Access'? I followed the instruction found here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_Admin_Console and it works on my laptop, but it's not what I'm wanting to do... or is it?
  3. I'm still at 5.0.14, but I doubt that's the problem. But then again, I have no idea. On Polyglot I have Ecobee, HarmonyHub, HueEmulator, and Sonos. On Polyglot Cloud I have SonosController.
  4. I'm usually on the latest and greatest version of HA. I was on 0.103.2 a few minutes ago and all worked as expected. I just updated to 0.103.4 and all is still working as expected. Never had a problem with any previous version either. I have HA and Polyglot running on separate VMs on the same Windows machine.
  5. Hmm. I'm not sure what to make of this. I DO have several nodeservers on my ISY, but I have no issues with running HA.
  6. I don't mind at all! I find the discussion very interesting. I actually do use HA, mostly just to play around with it. I have it running on a virtual machine on a spare Windows 10 computer. I like it for it's quick access to everything when I'm using my laptop. I really just use it as an interface to the ISY and other systems. I don't run any actual automations on HA. As to using HA on my phone for access when away from home, it's my understanding it requires port forwarding and DuckDNS and who knows what else to configure. I'm just not in enough need to go that route if I can get what I need from ISY portal already.
  7. I'm just going to my.isy.io using Chrome on my Android phone. I've read the wiki and I don't see anything about a "your key" or how to do this in general. I know it's second nature to many how all of this works, but until you know, you don't know, and I'm still at the don't know stage. Where is this documented?
  8. Thanks all. I'm still wondering if I'm doing something wrong in logging into ISY Portal and/or HAD on my Android phone. I have to supply username and password every single time I go to my.isy.io in the Chrome browser. And as I mentioned, the login screen doesn't give me enough time. It blanks out what I've already typed after a few seconds. I have to be extremely quick to type an email in password in the time allowed.
  9. No, this is not the case. It won't be any faster. The linking will be the same regardless of doing it direct or with the ISY. The ISY makes it easier to do the linking, and the links will be exactly the same between the two devices, so it won't be any faster, it will still be instantaneous. ? Plus, as already mentioned, if you use the ISY to do the linking, then the ISY will know the status of the switches.
  10. I'm sorry, but I find this all very confusing. The ISY Launcher allows me to log into "Dashboard", which also seems to be called "ISY Dashboard". The ISY Portal login allow me to log into "Go to my ISY", which takes me to "Home Automation Dashboard" or "My Lighting" udajax, depending on a setting. In the ISY Portal there is a dropdown that lets me select "ISY Web Access" And then there are Agave and various (as I understand it) versions of Mobilinc. I find this all very confusing. So I almost never need to do anything when I'm away from home, but a few times a year I might. Like to turn on a light for the dog or something like that. I don't need anything fancy like Agave or Mobilinc. Great products I'm sure, but way overkill for my needs. The Home Automation Dashboard (HAD) option that is available through the ISY Portal seems to fit the bill, but I just read the other day in the forum that it is no longer maintained. Not sure why HAD is still available on the ISY Portal if it is dead, but that's irrelevant I guess. The other problem I have with HAD is that I seem to have to log in eeeevery-siiiiingle-tiiiiime from my android phone. And what is even worse, there seems to be a very short time limit to log in and I can never type the username (email) and password fast enough before it blanks it all out. Can anybody clarify any of this for me? Am I doing something wrong? I just want a button on my phone that opens an app that lets me turn a device on or off once in awhile.
  11. I've been eyeing Brilliant for awhile now, but haven't pulled the trigger. So I don't speak from actual experience. Yes, I believe there will be no issue with controlling your Ecobee from any and all systems that it is compatible. I can control mine from my Harmony Remote, ISY (nodeserver), Home Assistant, as well as phone app and the actual thermostat. All stay in sync and I would assume Brilliant would mesh with everything just fine too. The same should apply to Sonos too. It is possible to have ISY communicate both ways with a SmartThings hub, and thus, presumably, with Brilliant. Possible. Not necessarily easily, but it is possible. I used to have this set up, but I found a different/better way to do what I needed. It involved using ISY network resources, ISY portal, and IFTTT. Not ideal, but it did work. I always suspected there would be a way to eliminate the IFTTT portion from my setup, but I was never able to figure it out with my limited knowledge of SmartThings programming. If and when I go with Brilliant I will figure out some way to do this. Even if I have to dig out my old SmartThings hub again. You mentioned Alexa, but I can't help you there. I know nothing about Alexa.
  12. That's where I found mine.
  13. I've been using ISY and reading this forum for many years and have never known this before. Could be the source of several issues I've had. Hmm.
  14. @paulbates In all of my testing of this, every manual initiation works. Turning on the scene and running the program Then segment both work. Yes, there are other commands in the then segment. I will try adding a wait, but it doesn't seem like that is the issue since manually running it works. Good suggestion, and I will try it tonight.
  15. This one has me stumped. I have a scene and the only thing in it is a keypad button. It's the A button if that's important. There is no load connected to this keypad. I have a program that turns on the scene in a Then segment. There are several other actions in this same Then segment that run without issue. What is very odd is that this keypad button does indeed physically turn on when it should, but the ISY says the button is off. A query, either manually or in the program will fix it.
  16. The only thing that would interest me in a smart appliance is the ability to keep the time accurate on the microwave and oven. Mine always drift off (in opposite directions). But seeing as how my printer and pool controller (both connected to the network) can't keep the time right, it will probably take the technology of a manned Mars landing to get any appliances to keep accurate time.
  17. Maybe. But I try to get away from IR whenever I can. This setup lets the Harmony Hub communicate with the ISY over IP instead. My wish for Logitech/Harmony is that they would incorporate more components into their IP controllable database. Both my Sony receiver and Bluray are IP controllable, but the Harmony does not have the capability to do it. So I have to use IR for those.
  18. @DaveStLou Here is the main thread: You don't need a Hue Hub or a Hue anything for that matter. I don't have any Hue products. Looks like are well versed in using Polyglot, so just install the Hue Emulator from the store. In the ISY AC put a "1" (without quotes) in the spoken of any devices or scenes you want to control. Make sure the Hue Emulator is in listen mode. Go to your MyHarmony devices Home Control tab and scan for devices. It should find a Hue Hub and bring in the ISY devices. Then just add to the Home Control buttons.
  19. I suggest you look into the Hue Emulator in Polyglot. It will allow you to control ISY devices and scenes with the Harmony home control buttons. It does not use IR, which I find to be much better. I can probably help if you get stuck.
  20. Just fyi, I'm not pursuing this anymore. Running an app on my Android TV is not in actuality what I want to do. What I really want to do is run an app on my Sony Bluray player. I asked to see the NR because I thought I might be able to modify it to do the same with the Bluray player, but I believe they are very different animals. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Now if anyone wants to enlighten me as to how I might go about directly running an app on the Bluray player, I'm all ears. Right now I am using a series of cursor direction commands to start an app. It works, but it's not very elegant.
  21. I'm finally getting around to playing with this tonight. Where do I put the code that comes up on the TV when registering?
  22. Follow up to this. Home Assistant has a "Roku emulator" that can be used to do this. Very similar to how the "Hue emulator" allows use of the Home Control buttons, the HA Roku emulator allows use of the Home Entertainment buttons. This works because the Roku is a Home Entertainment device that is WiFi controlled by the Harmony Hub.
  23. @dwengrovitz I think what you are seeing is the same bug that is being discussed here. The backlight level being displayed is not being refreshed. So you are wanting to see the backlight level of one of the other 26 switches, but in reality you are still seeing the level for the one switch you changed to 50%.
  24. This statement intrigues me. Are you saying that, with a Network Resource, you can start any app that is on a Sony TV? I would love to see a screen shot of an example NR that is something other than Netflix. I don't know if it matters, but I am not using Alexa.
  25. I got the "Touch HD" 16 zone. I like the pretty pictures on the screen. So far, same here.
