  1. The original iterations of Virtual used variables. However, this changed. A Virtual switch is no longer tied to a Variable. Just turn on/off the switch itself.
  2. @bpwwer Moving this from PG2 to PG3. What is the best course? Delete from PG2 and install in PG3 in same slot?
  3. Make sure you have Listen set to True in the ISY Admin Console.
  4. This is the "original" cable, fyi. https://smartenit.com/shop/plm-serial-cable/
  5. I have to restart my PG2 Sonos Node server every few days. @Michel Kohanimand others have looked at my logs and concluded it was a problem with my network. I dunno. I have several ways of controlling my Sonos system and the others all work perfectly.
  6. Yes, thanks. But that's not the one I'm looking for. This was awhile back. Around the time Polisy first started shipping.
  7. I've wasted too much of my afternoon trying to find this. There was a post (or thread) quite awhile ago about how to mount a Polisy in an SMC (Structured Media Cabinet). Someone posted a link to a bracket they used. The link went to the website of the actual manufacturer of the Polisy. Anyone have a clue how to find this again?
  8. Is there a way to initiate a NodeServer Restart from ISY? Either in a program or maybe network resources? For reasons unknown, my Sonos NodeServer just freezes after throwing a bunch of errors. A restart of the Sonos NodeServer fixes the problem for awhile. Michel and others have not been able to find a solution. So I set up a notification to send me an email whenever the Sonos NodeServer is not Online. Then it occurred to me, why not just automatically initiate a Restart from ISY? Is there a way to do this?

  9. True. This is limitation of Harmony Hub. The hub simply does not have a way to "see" button presses on your network. Sure you can. That's what the Hue Emulator NodeServer does. Jimbo stated this earlier. If you are referring to the non-Home Control buttons, there are two work arounds I can think of. One is to set up some kind of IR receiver connected somehow to ISY. The other way is the concept of a Roku Emulator. No one has written a NodeServer that is a Roku Emulator, so it will have to come from somewhere else, like Home Assistant for instance.
  10. When did we start calling Polyglot Cloud "PCG" instead of PGC?
  11. Can't help but wonder if these will ever be combined into one UI. It IS confusing.
  12. Sorry to hear of your loss. It will be missed.
  13. @dbwarner5 Should be http://192.168.68.76:8080/desc Couple other comments from my experience. ISY Finder has NEVER found my ISY, 994 or Polisy. I have to use the Add button. Others have said the same. So Finder works for some and not for others. Also, when I first made the migration, I had to use the Add button every single time. Then after awhile that didn't work either. Then after a longer while, it all started to work again. I think it all started working again because I did the Upgrade process by pressing the button on the front of the Polisy. Could be worth a try.
  14. This is the cable. https://smartenit.com/shop/plm-serial-cable/
  15. No, not using WiFi. Interestingly, it is working for me now. I've been working all kinds of things and one of the things I've done is push the multifunction button on the front of the Polisy once. This may or may not have solved this.
  16. Yeah, I tried that several times before posting.
  17. This should work, but it doesn't. https does work. http was working yesterday, but now today it isn't. My second problem is that I have to use the Add button every single time. With ISY on 944 I had to use the Add button, but it would stick and I wouldn't have to use the Add button the next time. With ISY on Polisy it doesn't stick. I have to use the Add button every time.
  18. Too funny
  19. Not sure what you mean by this. I recreated your volume programs and they worked for me, so I don't have anything to suggest. Realize the Fade Up only works from an Off state.
  20. I recreated your scenario and it worked correctly for me. Have you tried restarting the Sonos NodeServer? I've been having problems with the Sonos NodeServer and restarting it always solves the problem for awhile.
  21. Ooooo. THAT's Exciting!
  22. Well, I never said my idea was perfect. ?
  23. *** Thread Hijack Alert *** This has always struck me as a fundamental missing piece for Insteon and/or ISY. It seems to me there should be both "Scene" and "Group". A Group would always act in synchrony. For instance, the exterior lighting sconces on my home are controlled by at least 8 Insteon switches, but they always all do the same thing. A Scene should be something that is executed, not turned on and off or dimmed. So, a Scene to adjust the lights to watch a movie. The concept of turning off a Scene, or dimming it, seems weird. These are functions for a Group.
  24. ISY on Polisy is Alpha, not even Beta, and there is no migration path. Correct?
  25. Follow up... Completely unrelated, a week or more ago, I noticed that my Unifi Access Points were showing that there was a software update available. Immediately after doing the update all the communication problems discussed above went away. All backlights have updated perfectly every night and morning since upgrading the Unifi Access Points, one of which is in the same room. Cause and effect? Who knows. But the coincidence seems too convenient to ignore.
