  1. The Device list with close to 50 devices I had set up over the years and was working fine and visible until about an hour ago is GONE all of a sudden. Alexa no longer recognizes the spoken commands. It appears it all got wiped out. The devices are still visible for spoken mapping. How can I bring it back? Thanks!
  2. I was tempted to perform the test last night, but did not find the time. My system is fairly elaborate, so with this in mind, I might just hold off until I am forced to swap the sticks. (When I did the upgrade from ISY/PLM to IoP/USB it took quite some effort to get it all working again. I am sure most was caused by me taking wrong turns, but if I do not have to go through this ever again, I'd be happy.)
  3. As the title says.... Looking for some best practice tips what to do and also what NOT to do. I am using a 2448A7 already on my Polisy (IoP). Thanks!
  4. I was wondering if it is possible to not only send 'plain' text, but emojis to Pushover with the Notification PS. (I know that Pushover by itself supports emojis.)
  5. Thanks @Michel Kohanim. It's not urgent for me. I already implemented a workaround where the ISY tells my Crestron controller to send this WOL command And in regards to your question.. yes, otherwise we would not have this thread . In my case I use this WOL commmand to wake up a Synology NAS that's on my network every once in a blue moon.
  6. I just found this topic after I ran into the same issue and started some troubleshooting/research: WOL no longer working after migrating from an ISY to the Polisy. (Neither the migrated nor a freshly created command in the admin console - WOL tab worked.) @Michel Kohanim, could you please post here once you guys have implemented a fix? TIA!
  7. I got mine working again after I opened/updated/saved each one of them. Maybe there is a quicker way to accomplish the same.
  8. Not sure if this is somewhat related, but I had run into major issues with my scenes/devices after the migration. In particular my keypads were affected, but 'simple' devices, like dimmers also. After lots of trial & error and banging my head against the wall, what ultimately did the trick for me was to factory reset/restore each of my Insteon devices.
  9. I have a relatively elaborate Ubiquiti UniFi setup for my home network. One of the neat little features is to able to assign a stylized icon to each of the client devices on the network. There is a library to chose the icons from. However, I have found that if an icon is not already included in the library, one is pretty much of out luck to every see it added. From what I understand there is no end-user upload option for it). So it made me very happy when I found a icon for my Polisy. The nerdy geek in me gets great pleasure from things like that . So THANK YOU UDI for providing this icon to the library!
  10. Thanks, @Michel Kohanim, that worked.
  11. Still very new to Polisy.... I see this red message when I log into my Polisy: However, while I run an ISY on the Polisy, the IP address is incorrect. What am I seeing here? Also, shouldn't the ISY Version (5.3.0) of the Polisy/ISY install be displayed in the black area, which currently shows 0.0.0
  12. According to Insteon: http://cache.insteon.com/documentation/2448A7qsg.pdf
  13. Thanks @sjenkins . This is helpful. When I completed the restore back to the old setup (994/PLM-S) last night, all seemed to have gone OK - all devices seemingly got properly recognized in the Admin Console (, other than some battery powered leaks sensors that I will need to wake up separately.) However, I have since noticed that some of the scenes are not working properly, e.g. missing device responses, even though the Admin Console shows no errors. There must be something else going on. All was working great with the old set up before I started the migration. I am not quite sure how best to proceed from here.... BTW, I saw your location in the profile. Seems like we are neighbors
  14. Quick update: I got my Polisy and the 2448A7 yesterday. Initially the migration seem to go smoothly until I ran into major issues: several of keypads are no longer recognized by the Polisy setup. It seems to work a little better when I connect the serial PLM, rather than the USB dongle. Even after several attempt with factory resets, restore ISY, restore modem, restore devices it is still BAD. For the migration to the Polisy I used a backup that I made right from my ISY994, running v.5.3.4. Polisy is running v.5.3.0, which I believe is the latest for it. I had done all the Polisy f/w updates before I started the migration. Has anyone faced similar problems and/or would have any suggestions on how to fix this? Somewhere along the lines I also lost the Portal access for the Polisy and I am waiting to hear back from UDI. In the meantime I have reverted back to my 994/2413S. Again, any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
  15. Found it: Switching browsers from Firefox to Chrome brought up a different view when I selected ath0, then showing the WiFi settings.
  16. I am looking for the configuration page for WiFi for the Polisy Pro I just got According to: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Polisy:User_Guide#Polisy_Configuration it should be here: However, for me it looks like this: What am I missing?
  17. Earlier today my new Polisy and Insteon USB dongle got delivered and I am now in the process of migrating from a ISY994/PLM to the new setup. I have made good progress to far by following the instructions from the community here. I think I am pretty much there. I even have the Alexa - Polisy link working, but even though I did a Modem Restore / Restore Device and Write Updates to Device, I cannot seem to clear out those pending updates on some of the devices. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!
  18. Hello Michel; do those USB hubs, i.e. 1-in-to-multiple-out, work with Polisy? If so, that would mean one would not be limited to connecting only up to (2) USB devices.
  19. Thanks @Techman, not sure I completely follow. I'd like to know how close I am with my current setup to the max. supported number of links of e.g. Insteon's 'wireless USB adapter' 2448a7, which is a 1000 links. So with my 532 give or take I should have a sound cushion, since I am using only half of what's possible, correct?
  20. Thanks All, for the quick and helpful comments! What a great community! I don't use IR with the ISY, so I should be good to migrate. From @gzahar's comment it sounds like PLM-USB 2413U or Portable USB adapter 2448A7 performing are equally reliable. Sorry for the dumb question, how can I see how many links I have?
  21. I thinking about future proofing my setup. It seems that I should be able to do most if not all what I can do today with my ISY994 (+ PLM 2413S) now also on the Polisy. My setup is pretty straight forward: some 50 or so all Insteon devices and a few programs, some Alexa control. What would I still be missing with the maturity stage Polisy now has reached? Follow up question: what modem should I be looking for to get to work with the Polisy: PLM-USB 2413U or Portable USB adapter 2448A7? Thanks!
  22. Houston/ @bmercier, we have lift off! It's working now. Thank you very much for the super quick turnaround, in particular on a holiday. Wishing you a very Happy New Year!
