New to ISY
You can try removing power from both the PLM and the ISY, then first power up the PLM, wait about 15 seconds then power up the ISY. Delete a device with a v.00 firmware, then re-link it. There most likely was a communications issue.

Programming flood light question
Yes, halogen and incandescent bulbs work with the Insteon dimmer modules. Non dimmable CFL and LED bulbs should not be used with dimmers.

New to ISY
How did you link the modules. If you're showing v.00 then the ISY didn't pick up the device's firmware version when you linked it.

Replacement ISY - Motion Sensor?
Is your motion sensor within close proximity to a dual band device. Make sure that your ISY firmware and the UI are the same version number.

New to ISY
Being that the PLM and the ISY are the heart and brains of your system I would still suggest that you buy from Smarthome. When you buy from a 3rd party you really don't know what you're getting until it shows up on your door step. All the Insteon devices, including the PLM are constantly evolving. Unlike the ISY which has the ability to have its firmware updated, the Insteon products don't yet support that option. There's an old saying: If you think you're getting a free lunch then you just haven't received the bill yet.

New to ISY
Once your PLM begins to fail it will continue to fail until it completely stops working. I would strongly suggest buying a new PLM directly from Smarthome. That way you'll get a new dual band device with the latest hardware, firmware and a 2 year warranty. You should probably hold off building your system until you replace the PLM.

What's the date code and version number on your PLM? You might have bought someone else's problem.

A question about Insteon leak sensors ...
You'll need to remove the film. The two metal contacts on the bottom of the sensor need to be able to make contact with water.

2845-222 Hidden Door Sensor
Hi Jon, The open node on the ISY will show either on or off so I guess there was really no need for an off node to be supported.
-
2845-222 Hidden Door Sensor
The ISY does not support the CLOSED node on the open/close sensor, only the open node and the heartbeat.

2845-222 Hidden Door Sensor
It sounds like you may have a communications issue rather than a battery issue. Do you have any dual band devices within close proximity to the sensors? The open close sensor sends out a heartbeat signal every 24 hours. You can write a simple program to monitor the heartbeat node on the open/close sensor and have it send you an email in the event that the heartbeat signal isn't received.

2845-222 Hidden Door Sensor
Are you getting low battery signals from the sensor(s) or are the sensors just not working? Have you or can you physically measure the battery voltage on the sensor when it fails? The batteries should last at least 6 months or longer.
-
What Causes This? Multiple ON Commands
Some of the motions sensors have a firmware bug that causes them to send multiple on signals when the batteries get low, this precedes a low battery signal which sometimes is never sent.

Could Not Access ISY

ISY Admin Console Reporting Incorrect Insteon State
If your ran the diagnostics did you find any corrupted link tables?

ISY Admin Console Reporting Incorrect Insteon State
Try running a diagnostics on each the switches for your kitchen lights, (show device link tables, then compare links) to see if any of your links are corrupted. You can also try a restore device, which rewrites the device link tables, for the kitchen switches to see if that makes a difference. Another possibility may be that with all the RF devices you have in your system you may be getting data collisions that interfere with the Insteon signals. Are the problems you're experiencing consistent or do they vary?

ISY Admin Console Reporting Incorrect Insteon State
You should have all the switches that control the kitchen lights placed in a scene as controllers? Turning the scene on or off will then correctly reflect in all the switches located within the scene. When controlling the lights from the ISY you should turn the scene on/off not just one of the switches.

Change "control" to "status" Status is the state of the device, Control is when the device is physically turned on or off.

ISY Admin Console Reporting Incorrect Insteon State
You'll need to clear your Java cache including applications then download the 4.3.26 version of the Admin console. Hopefully that should clean up your problems. Let us know if that cleared up your issues.

ISY Admin Console Reporting Incorrect Insteon State
What's version of the ISY firmware What the version of the user interface (admin console) are you using? Do you have anything that could be interfering with the Insteon signals such as a UPS, T.V's, etc. that have not been filtered?

Dual Band Plug Modules
The on/off module is a dual band device as are most of the current modules with the exception of battery operated devices and the IOLinc and some switches. You can check the specs for a device on the Smarthome website which will show if it supports RF.

Just installed Windows 10 and admin console doesnt work. SOLVED
Which option are you using to download the admin console? What's the version of your ISY firmware?
