I have an isy 994 I have had it for 10 year are so. Im worryed that isteon will stomew making devices. At that point what will I do Or what can I do now? Im not even sure what Polisy is. Im not a engineer. I have a vast knowdgle of automation been in the feild 40 some years profesional. Any advice. ?

Today I got my answer from A very good tech at Amazon she to saw the same thing I was looking at. At some point a skill that was used or older version of the optimize skill was disabled. This older version was not removed completely. They are working on correcting this. If you have an ISY do not use the Alex app to add any devices or scene. Only is the portal to add you already devices and scene. The Alexa app will show you all your devices and you can use it to turn them on. Do not create groups in the Alexa app. You will stand the chance of getting duplicates. This is for ISY users. Im not sure about Intranet hub users. So if you are being told by Alexa that you need to rename devices because you have more then one with the same name. GO to the Alexa app and you will see your doubles. I hope this help not so easy to explain in writing for me.

What is the best way to start the admin control. Chrome and others will not support have no matter what anyone says.

I had the same thing. I had to power down everything router Alexa all. Then I had to remove most of the scene only in the portal. Then put them back in again. It worked for two days and now it’s telling me I have Several with the same name again. Don’t bother calling Amazon. The have no idea what an isy is or the Portal. They think everyone uses their app to control everything.

I’m not sure this hasn’t been addressed. If you use Alexa to turn a device on or off or a scene on and off. How does one make a sign button that activates that scene or that device light up when it’s on and turn off when it’s off. I’m sure there’s several ways of doing it I’m sure there’s a way of doing it within the Alexa app but not sure. I’m aware that there’s a way of doing it in the programming of the I SY but again I’m not sure. I like to hear others ideas of how they made this work.

you should not have to go to the alexia app and do anything the scenes are on you isy994. You do it all threw the isy portal

I even tried removing a scene and reinstalling the scene. Now Alexa say I have two scene with the same name. Anyone have a idea not a guess?? Alexa will control and signal device no problem

For the last two days Alexa would not control any scenes. The isy will but not Alexa. Alexa will control a device but not a scene. Nothing has change I have not changed a thing in a year. Any ideas.

Disable your Alexa skill. Now try the same thing by the other means which you activate your device whether it be your computer or an app and see if the same thing happens

I’m not a new user of the Isy. But I have had mine a long time. My question is do I need an new isy to upgrade to zwar??? insteon product are not lasting as long as they use too

What the difference between mobilinc and isy Optimize

My echo only Recognizes some of the commands and sometimes not. When you tell her to discover it has no idea what you’re talking about. When I tell it to-turn on certain lights it does it And some of the lights it doesn’t. It has been working perfectly for a long time and all of a sudden now I have this problem any ideas I could use some help

question 1 I down to my last Insteon motion sensor. The new one sticks. what do I have to do to get a z-wave motion sensor to work with my Isy994. Question 2 will the new Insteon motion sensor II work withISy994 now/

I asked about the older one I use them out side even though not made for it but lasted several years. The new one look like junk and will not work a day outside. I call insteon and the have no plans to come up with a solution So now I have to find a motion sensor for outside that will work with my issue Other wise back to a stander outside light with a standard motion sensor that only controls on light Total bs

I have to keypad that the LED will not stay lite. I checked the programs and scenes over and over. I have a new keypad coming but I don't think that's the problem. I did not have a problem at all with anything until I replaced the PLM It not just on but two now. I disconnected PLM for a few days and now everything is ok. So what's the problem. Could it me the echo I use that to.

Ok. I remember now. Yes I hate not having the link keypad button not lighting

I know this might of been talked about. I had it working but I delete it and forgot how I did it. So here it goes. When you set up a device on your keypad and use echo to control it. (Device only ) the keypad button will like up only if its load bearing. Example turn on living room light. The keypad marked living room light will light up along with the light and you can dim it to. That's because its the main load key button. A So now You want to turn on a module for an end table light and it's linked button is marked end table on the kepad. echo will turn on and even dim the end table light but the key pad mark end table doesn't light LED E I have the keypad led set up as a device too. LED E I cant remember how I got the two to work at the same time with a voice command. yes I can create scene but you cant dim scene to a percent . I remember doing this threw alexa app but I don't remember. Any idea. I just cant seem to remember how I did it

I have an Isy994 and I have several programs. One program call all off 11 this program turn all light off and if it's after eleven it turns on the master bath lights. It's control by instep keypad. I when to the portal and added this program to the echo and gave it a spoken name. After 11 she has no idea and nor do I 2. How do I get the light to dim other the saying dim dim din. Why can't I say dim to 50 percent ???
