Ok now Im confused.... When I right click I the 8 button group I see I can more or less make it act like a folder. Like in the screen shot below. I also see when I pick a button I get another option for grouping and exclusive I dont understand. I like to have ON button for all lights on and all lights off and when any of the light in the all lights scene is on I want to see the All lights button lite so I know that there is a light on in the house someplace,

What does grouping do other then group stuff in one area? what is excluesive mean? Can someone give me real examples..Plus how do I make one buttom ALLON and ALLOFF or do I have to use two buttons. What I want to do is have the button lite when ever any light is on and Off when all lights are OFF

It seem to woork sofar. Question concerning Insteon Motion Sensor. Iss it best to let the program turn of light and have Jumper 4 and 5 jumped out Ideas

For what ever reason the ISy994i does not see my Insteon motion sensor or my remotelink 2440. It will see it in linking mode and everything is there. But after I make some kind of change to anything and the ISy starts writing to the RF device then it shows and !!! Then it shows that it can’t communicate with any of the RF devices. However the RF devices will work with Insteon device that it is linked to in a scene. So as it is I can’t write the motion device or the remote in a program. I trying reboot and it shows all is ok until I make some kind of change that I need to hit the save button. I even disabled my firewall. for what ever reason when I add a scene or something like a folder it doesntr show up. Only after I close the program and start it back up then the appear. I ended up with 5 folder the same name. Any ideas?

Yes, it does seem like a relay should be replaceable with a dimmer (but not vice-versa). Is this truly a link table issue or is it a function of the ISY just not letting you do it? You do not want to replace a Relay with a Dimmer. Relays are used to control loads ex... motors, or appliances you don't want to put a dimmer in its place.

Thanks for the response I plan on doing away with all X10 I'm 2/3 away. I have and Insteon motion sensor ordered. I'm sure there will be more questions. I cant rely on Rand for every question even though he is so willing to answer.

I'm a newbie when it comes to ISY99. i been around industrial automation for over 20 years. My question is why does my X10 motion sensor so ON under my devices Also I linked two keys on a remotelink 2440 ant it show them On to. any ideas.
