The eisy sales page also states that the 2448a7 also work with it

You stated he "may have made comments" so I didn't realize that you were aware. One of the complaints have been how hard it is to keep up with his comments since many people aren't on here alot to keep up with what he says. Since me and a few others are, I was just making you aware (just in case, since you said he "may have commented") that others have asked this same question before and he's answered pretty much the same as he did above.

The comments he's made over the past few months has been consistent in that polisy and eisy will follow the same development path. Due to the additional features that eisy has (such as HDMI and BT 5.2); a developer may be able to have specific node servers that takes advantage of whatever those offer. However, from the UDI side, both will run the same software and have the same capabilities over the next 3 years.

    Fixed it. Thanks

There's a link embedded in my post. That's why the word adapter is underlined
  6. lilyoyo1 replied to jlegault's topic in eisy
He doesn't need that if he has his cable. He just needs an adapter.

It was mentioned earlier this summer (and quite frequently over the last few months with no date given. As previously explained a couple of times now on this post, they were no longer able to source the components for Polisy hence the new system
  8. Any advantages will probably come down to your environment. Personally, i doubt you'll notice a difference unless your polisy is inside of a metal box and you need to get the signal outside of it.

Makes sense to me. I don't think they mean it as a slight to someone having used the Isy for 10 years. Just that those who recently purchased a system may feel jilted at spending a few hundred bucks recently only for a new system to come out.

See the second post. They were unable to source the components for polisy so they created a new box. Both will be developed together over the next few years. The zmatter board works with both polisy and eisy. Unless you just want to spend money on a new controller (with updated specs), you'll be getting the same thing. At some point a few years down the road, polisy will be sunset (by that time it'll be 6+ years old), and work will continue on with the eisy until eisy 2 comes along with the ZMatter 2 board that has a 900 series zwave board and supports Matter V2. You can't really do a side by side comparison of range since everyone's environment is different. Range will come down to the devices a person has, the amount, makeup of home (walls, floors, etc). The eisy will be faster than polisy naturally since it's a faster processor. However, that's like saying the iphone 14 is faster than the iPhone 13. Yeah it's faster, but how much of that you notice depends on different factors. How much of it you notice depends on your devices. If all of your devices are quality 700 series, you'll probably notice a huge difference from the Isy. If you swap over to the eisy and you have a mixed 300/500 series environment, there will be a difference but probably not as noticable

They shouldn't need that. The kit UDI is selling has everything
  12. lilyoyo1 replied to jlegault's topic in eisy
In addition to the link Bumbleshoot gave, see my post above
  13. lilyoyo1 replied to jlegault's topic in eisy
The eisy webpage does though. I'm sure it's implied as well since they talk about being a replacement for the Isy and such
  14. lilyoyo1 replied to jlegault's topic in eisy
Both eisy and polisy operate the same so unless you simply want newer (and higher spec'd) equipment, you'll be fine with polisy. eisy was created due to parts shortages to make polisy so it is the future. However both will see the same development over the next few years
  15. lilyoyo1 replied to tazman's topic in ZMatter
    Yes
  16. Unfortunately, the best way to go is the one you refuse to use. Being that V2 is deprecated and will not be receiving any updates to keep running, I think you're probably beating a dead horse going that route.
  17. I'd start by updating your controller to a more recent release as there could be bugs in your firmware. Verify if you have the 300 or 500 board. 300 has a blue light in the back of the isy. 500 does not. If 300 upgrade to 5.0.16c and if you have 500, upgrade to 5.3.4. You can find both under the software releases and updates section

I thought there was problems with the lesser model so they just went with one
  19. lilyoyo1 replied to tazman's topic in ZMatter
A lot of us are. With this being up, I'm sure the eisy link will be up soon.... Z matter was sold from the start for polisy. @Michel Kohanimjust let it be known that it would work with eisy. This is just the dongle with the USB case that he talked about previously.
  20. lilyoyo1 replied to tazman's topic in ZMatter
No. But it can be used with polisy as well per the title in your link
  21. Have you tried reaching out to the mfg. to see if they have a list
  22. It's no longer relevant.
  23. Kwikset is usually less than 200.
  24. It's not the space on the SD card I'm referring to. It's your actual node count. That's why I mentioned the noderserver that's available to see that and not checking the SD card space. I'd submit a ticket.
