  1. How will UDI's kit not work when it's designed specifically for the 2413s
  2. The release notes in the first post contains this information. Michel also stated theyre working on migration with no eta due to a bug.
  3. Are you sure that the isy sets the time on the thermostat and thats not a local feature? If it does, there should be a way to set it on the thermostat since the ISY time wouldnt automatically do so
  4. There are quite a few posts already detailing this (including the 2413s manual found online).
  5. I haven't checked in a few days but last time I read the eisy wiki, it had the instructions on how to factory reset the EISY.
  6. You can factory reset the board. You'd have to remove and then re-add the devices once done.
  7. See post above. If you want to remove the board, simply unplug your isy, take the bottom screws out (including one behind the sticker), open it up, pull board out, closer it up, and plug isy back in. With the 994 being discontinued, you'll have to try and find a board on eBay. Putting the new one in the same as taking the old one out. If you Google how to replace isy zwave board, you'll find instructions on how to do it

  9. You'd need to replace it with eisy

    eisy & Zooz

As tazman pointed out, it will work. However, you won't be able to take advantage of advanced zwave features such as ota updates, associations, S2 security, and more. Your board will simply send and receive zwave signals. Additional capabilities will not be added.

  13. I believe Elk is via a Node Server now. https://forum.universal-devices.com/forum/309-elk/
  14. You can only use it on 1 unless you pay for additional license. If you transfer it to the EISY, you wouldn't have to pay again.
  15. Did you do a remove first?
  16. They did but the AC would still be around
  17. Everyone's needs are different. You may not know of anyone but UDI has thousands of customers. Im sure a greater number of them use other java based products than IR. Besides, what are you logging into? I click a java based link (AC)> up pops my polisy and other systems>click my polisy>and login. How is that different than me clicking on firefox>typing in my ip address (lets be real- id have a shortcut)>type in my password? In fact, the java link actually helps out because most of us are managing multiple systems so they all show up in 1 place. Not sure why they had a hard time. My wife's Mom didn't need help when she downloaded java for something. We're not defending anything. We just recognize what it is. The little bit of work it requires so infrequently, is minuscule in the grand scheme of things. I cant speak for others but what I care about is whether or not my lights and electronics turn on/off when they're supposed to the language for a programming tool that I only use for specific tasks. I care whether or not the hardware allows me to accomplish my goals which it does....Much better than other systems costing 2x as much (those do not use java)
  18. Whats the nightmare? Can you expand on this? If you're having that many issues, it would help if you say why its a nightmare so they can be fixed. Ive never had issues with logging into and programming multiple systems with the console. I dont see how hard it is to open it up regardless of whether I use the Java Icon or my firefox icon. its still the same click.

    Insteon Roadmap

UDI isnt taking insteon anywhere as they do not own it. You need to post on insteon's forum (google insteon forum) and ask them. Their tagline is for users of insteon who may want to try other options such as zwave while still being able to use their insteon devices.

    IR with eisy

We all appreciate your thoughts but what "fresh" new ideas were you looking to have since IR really isnt a fresh new idea!? Im sure Michel does appreciate hearing from users in how they can make eisy better when it comes to options that many will actually take advantage of vs a handful. IR isn't really a fresh idea since most people have turned to online streaming devices such as Roku, AppleTv, GoogleTv, and FIresticks. When you look at the price range that eisy is in, there arent many controllers out there that can accomplish what it can. The magic behind automation is in the programmer not the controller. Just like anything out there; a well versed person can do more with less than a lesser person can with more. Give that well versed person an even more capable system- the sky becomes the limit. If you look at how things have taken off, IR is falling out of favor and has for a few years. The lack of users clamoring for IR shows that as well since less than a dozen (if that) have commented on the subject between Polisy and eisy. Geddy is a user like all of us in that he is willing to take time out of his day (voluntarily) to try and keep the forum straight....Addressing many of the issues that people have had with the forums over the years. He is not a UDI employee. Geddy and others here may have closer relationships with UDI due to history but overall we are all simply members trying to pitch in with answers and guidance.

    IR with eisy

I don't use the Node Server so I don't know what it supports and how. However, back when I did use itach devices, I was able to connect it to my dinky link to receive ir commands. It wasn't an oversight. IR wasn't greatly used over time so it wasn't added. The ROI wasn't enough to justify it for the few people who took advantage of it.
  22. Did you receive your shipping confirmation email? That should provide your tracking infomration. Your tracking information would be the best source for eta considering its Christmas season and UDI not knowing lead teams for shipments around the country for individual users.
  23. No one has received one to know for certain but it works with polisy and runs the same software so I don't see why not.

    IR with eisy

You can use itach devices with polisy via a node server so I assume it would work with eisy since they use the same node servers
