  1. New product with most of their user base buying it. Just like everything else in that type of situation, they ran out.
  2. It's been a long time since I've added one but yes it works (at least with 5.0.16c and later)

    Discounts Anyone?

Their codes are usually one time (or time sensitive) for specific users or instances vs general use codes that are always available.

    Discounts Anyone?

Available discounts are listed on the product sales page. The only thing currently available is the trade in program for the EISY which can be found on it's page
  5. Keep in mind that the performance of both depends on a strong mesh network so you may need more than 1 device depending on where you choose to install the device.
  6. Your drop downs don't give you other options such as choosing your activities?
  7. I don't get it either. They used to be cheap. I've seen it around 159-179 for gen 3
  8. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/39372-curated-answers-to-general-eisy-questions/
  9. It's usually less than 200. Probably more right now since they're hard to get
  10. I debated on responding to you only because of how ridiculous you sound. You literally bought a product without researching what you needed in order for it to work and now it's everyone's fault but your own!!!! You screwed up. Not UDI, Samsung, or Amazon. 1) this can be just as hard as buying from udi since most people across the border won't ship to Canada. However, eBay can be your friend. 2) you can...or you can just buy a smart things hub. They aren't that expensive. 3)Guess our vows for better or for worse has truly lost it's meaning.... 4)they don't make the module anymore....I guess you expect for them to start producing more parts for a discontinued product just for 1 person....that makes a lot of sense. Let me call Samsung and complain about them not supporting my old note 8 anymore. Businesses exist to make money. They sell a product or service along with a guarantee of support for that product for a period of time. You spent 200 bucks on a product 4 years ago. Do you really expect them to support it forever?
  11. The latest firmware for the 994 is 5.3.4 for those using zwave devices with the 500 series zwave. For those using zwave devices with the 300 series board the latest firmware is 5.0.16c. 5.5.4 is for polisy and EISY users only. @Geddyis it possible to add a note in red for polisy/EISY firmwares that the latest firmwares are for polisy/EISY users. The way it currently reads, it can be misread as if it can used for any system. Personally, If you're not well versed with what you're doing, I'd leave it alone until you're more comfortable with migrating or start from scratch. Depending on whether you use insteon or zwave, you can cause more issues than you solve with baby steps. With that said, yes, you can use unused devices with eisy to test while you have your isy994 connected.. if you use insteon, just make sure you have a second plm for your eisy
  12. Thats a far cry from the cloud based solutions. Very limited, must be specific with your words, and much less capable.
  13. Youd have the 300 since the 500 isn't compatible with 4.xx firmware
  14. Since all of the systems you've named are dealer installed only systems, you'll need to ask your installer what they can and are willing to do. Just because it may be possible, the people in your area may not be willing to integrate with insteon or may not have the knowledge
  15. I think he's referring to how most people who aren't familiar with networking would do so at the device itself. That cannot be done with the eisy
  16. Zwave plus is 500 series so it would appear that way. Zwave plus V2 is 700 series. The 2nd post under the 700 series page (tips and tricks) has a link for the site you mentioned with a link that goes to all of the current 700 series devices.
  17. Most likely it'll be a hardware change since the 800 series would require new hardware. Regardless, that would be a few years from now.
  18. 800 series is a hardware difference from 700 series so the module itself will not be able to upgrade the module itself. UDI would release a new module that is 800 series compatible. Regardless, for you to be able to get the benefits of 800 series, you would need to upgrade your devices to 800 series as well. Being that 700 series devices are really just coming into their own ( and still without full saturation), I wouldnt worry about 800 series. It'll be some years before that happens so its not something I would wait for. The sad part is, zwave 900 series will be out by that time....the dance never ends.
  19. If it's not listed in the store then it doesn't exist. Have you checked online to see if they have an open API that a developer can use to develop one? If they do, you could always request someone do so and provide the API to them. Not a guarantee it would happen but it does help.
  20. EISY does not offer support for ir and will not offer ir in the future. It's not a supply issue. It has more to do with where the market is going with products and the amount of people that used it. While some users will obviously be impacted by this decision, they made it to help keep costs down. There's a Node Server for global cache devices. You can find more information on it in the be Node Server section
  21. You would write a program. Choose the hub and activity that you want.
  22. I googled your question and came across this post in the results. I dont use my system in that manner so I cant help you past that.
  23. Only you can decide this. If your happy doing what you are doing you can stay where you are. Upgrade when you're ready to try new technologies that the eisy supports I googled "how to use home assistant with ISY" and came across these instructions. UDI does not support homekit directly. You could use home assistant to make that happen. In regards to running home assistant on the eisy, that is possible but its something you would need to know how to do so that you do not mess up your eisy. I would recommend using home assistant's yellow box instead.
  24. Its not hard to find! The very first post on this thread above yours answers your questions
  25. Personally, I trust UDI so I dont have an issue with it. If you dont then you should just purchase your eisy outright and sell your ISY on ebay or something. If you know your ISY or polisy is in great condition, most likely its a moot point.
