800 series is a hardware difference from 700 series so the module itself will not be able to upgrade the module itself. UDI would release a new module that is 800 series compatible. Regardless, for you to be able to get the benefits of 800 series, you would need to upgrade your devices to 800 series as well. Being that 700 series devices are really just coming into their own ( and still without full saturation), I wouldnt worry about 800 series. It'll be some years before that happens so its not something I would wait for. The sad part is, zwave 900 series will be out by that time....the dance never ends.

Controlling FEIT Wi-Fi color bulbs?
lilyoyo1 replied to Oakland Jeff's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
If it's not listed in the store then it doesn't exist. Have you checked online to see if they have an open API that a developer can use to develop one? If they do, you could always request someone do so and provide the API to them. Not a guarantee it would happen but it does help. -
EISY does not offer support for ir and will not offer ir in the future. It's not a supply issue. It has more to do with where the market is going with products and the amount of people that used it. While some users will obviously be impacted by this decision, they made it to help keep costs down. There's a Node Server for global cache devices. You can find more information on it in the be Node Server section

You would write a program. Choose the hub and activity that you want.

I googled your question and came across this post in the results. I dont use my system in that manner so I cant help you past that.

Only you can decide this. If your happy doing what you are doing you can stay where you are. Upgrade when you're ready to try new technologies that the eisy supports I googled "how to use home assistant with ISY" and came across these instructions. UDI does not support homekit directly. You could use home assistant to make that happen. In regards to running home assistant on the eisy, that is possible but its something you would need to know how to do so that you do not mess up your eisy. I would recommend using home assistant's yellow box instead.

Its not hard to find! The very first post on this thread above yours answers your questions

Personally, I trust UDI so I dont have an issue with it. If you dont then you should just purchase your eisy outright and sell your ISY on ebay or something. If you know your ISY or polisy is in great condition, most likely its a moot point.
-
They disabled it due to people messing up their systems with static ip's because they didn't know what they were doing not because it caused an issue. Changing the ports can cause system issues however.
-
You don't need it. Some like myself have 2 systems. 1 to run our home and the other for testing.

In the notes of the 5.3.4 section it says you'll need to verify your programs. Most likely something has changed with some of your programs so you'll need to update them. It may be as simple as clicking on a line in your program, clicking update, and saving. The problem programs are usually in yellow. You may also need to update your java runtime memory (also found in the notes for the upgrade with instructions on how to do so). If you're having problems with wireless devices, make sure that it's in linking mode when trying to restore them. If you're trying to re-add your wireless devices, make sure that you're typing the address in correctly. An 8 may be a B or D for example. There may be comm issues with your iolinc. Bring it closer to your plm, restore it, and then hook it back up.

If ordering the cable from udi or any of the other countless places that has been talked about on here is too hard for you, then it may be time to move to HA. Sometimes you have to see if the grass is really greener on the other side.

I wouldn't say it's a lack of wisdom. Smarthome provided the necessary cable to be used with the product and allowed anyone to use it as they saw fit. They put it on the end-user to research and determine what their particular setup requires. The isy made use of the plm and it's Ethernet port by having a direct connection, Polisy used the DB9 directly, and EISY uses USB.The fact that the plm works with 3 different setups shows they made a wise choice. UDI isn't at fault either. On the eisy sales page, it explicitly states that the 2413s requires their adapter kit (with link to kit). They can't help if the end user doesn't bother to check what they have or click the link to the product to verify.

Modifying a Keypadlinc without deleting all settings
lilyoyo1 replied to beachfront71's topic in ISY994
If the switch is part of the scene still, remove the switch from the scene. Factory reset the kpl, and then right click on the kpl and choose restore -

What are you trying to do? You're not making sense! Keypad buttons will always be part of a keypad as they are 1 device. If you're trying to I group them then right click on the device and choose ungroup -

As Mrbill stated, you need to go to the scenes that have your devices in them and remove the devices from the scene. What you're attempting to do is delete the kpl itself from the isy. -
Correct. This has been covered a few times on here and from Michel. Its still being worked on. When I posted I was travelling at the time and I wasn't aware of 5.5.2 being released with the fix at that moment. Hopefully @Michel Kohanimwill be able to chime in and clarify
-
If you read all the way through it, it also says: Features Migration from existing network (e.g. Zooz) Migration from ISY-994 500 Series Backup But you're more than welcome to wait. Hopefully someone who has done it will respond. You can also reach out directly to UDI via their support lines.

According to what the firmware page for 5.5.2 says, yes it can be done. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/39592-iox-release-v552-is-now-available/

They can repeat the signal. The encryption is for the end device itself

Due to the mixed nature of scenes in the 5.x.x firmware, that is no longer available
