  1. I'll have to see if that works on all of them tonight
  2. Unfortunately it can't unless they've updated something. At least during the test phase, it had to be done via the Nokia Smart lighting software. The paddle and kpl both show up as if they were relays. You can change that behavior in the Smart lighting app though.
  3. Nothing changes how they work is in regards to how insteon works in itself (with other insteon devices). This is why it was able to be placed in a scene and controlled by another insteon device without issue. The hangup is on the controller side of things not insteon devices itself.
  4. I tested mine when I was still using the Isy and couldn't get it added to a scene. I'll re-add them tonight and see what happens. With the keypad, It only added the main switch as a relay so I didn't even bother trying with that.
  5. Everything still works the same as with older insteon devices which is why it can be added to the system. Because the Isy doesn't recognize the devices itself, there are limits to how the Isy can handle them. For all intents and purposes though, nothing changes about how they work.
  6. That's a lot of generalities. While this isn't my forte, reading what you wrote was enough to want to avoid using it if that was your sales pitch. It's not like the path udi took made for a prohibitively expensive product. Compared to the cost of other controllers, the eisy isn't that expensive. Look at the cost of an rpi4. Are they really saving much of anything? I'm quite sure UDI did their homework and took the path that they felt was best suited for their business
  7. You're in uncharted waters and probably on your own with this one. It's been a good 10 years since the 99 was discontinued so there probably isn't anyone around who has taken your journey from 99 to EISY. It's probably the same should you go from the 99 to 994. As it's been ages for most of us since we did that migration. If anything it would be backup old system and restore it in the 994. As mentioned earlier, it'll probably be best to start with a clean slate and go with the eisy. Factory reset your devices to original state by following the directions in their respective user manuals Google device model# and add user manual). Once done, you'd add the devices like normal to the eisy

  9. What's stopping their allocation from being sold out as well? It's not like there aren't a lot of Canadian users as well. They get theirs from udi so if udi is out so are they (once they sold through their stock).
  10. What happens when you choose start linking then press and hold set button on the device?
  11. New product with most of their user base buying it. Just like everything else in that type of situation, they ran out.
  12. I suspect you're typing the address in incorrectly. What is a 2636-222? Do you mean 2635-222 plug in module? Have you tried start linking then press and gold the set button on the device
  13. since you factory reset your plm file>restore plm>file>restore devices. Make sure your firmware and UI matches
  14. It's been a long time since I've added one but yes it works (at least with 5.0.16c and later)
  15. I've never had a single issue with adding devices. It takes me about 5 seconds. What steps are you taking to add a device
  16. It doesn't work with the 994. Most likely none of the products will ever work with the 994 since it's discontinued. All of the new products will add to the system, they'll just say unsupported device. You can control basic on/off functions but will not receive status of manually controlled.

    Discounts Anyone?

Their codes are usually one time (or time sensitive) for specific users or instances vs general use codes that are always available.

    Discounts Anyone?

Available discounts are listed on the product sales page. The only thing currently available is the trade in program for the EISY which can be found on it's page
  19. You're welcome. They made that change at some point in the 5.xx branch. Cant remember which version.
  20. Everything should be done within the EISY. You have to click the ramp rate button after you set it in order for it to take effect.
  21. Keep in mind that the performance of both depends on a strong mesh network so you may need more than 1 device depending on where you choose to install the device.
  22. Your drop downs don't give you other options such as choosing your activities?
  23. You can claim anything you want. Doesn't make it true. Once you actually make sense vs sounding like a drunk trying to sound intelligent we can talk. Your Google search still doesn't help the avg person that you claim can do something accomplish having a homeworks system. Your claim of so called dealers selling you something still doesn't make the software available to you or anyone else to program it. You can post links all that you want. If you think that'll get you somewhere, create a Node Server so it can be used with the Isy. I'll even be willing to pay for it.
  24. Not being argumentative myself but It's still more involved than what you see. Yes, anyone can Google what you provided as it's readily available information. One must also be able to put that information to use in the real world which is a different story. When you look at all the of the issues here with basic consumer stuff, imagine what homeworks can mean for most people. You can find the wiring that each hardwired homeworks component uses online. But even then, the costs add up along with the work of rewiring ones whole house (hence my statement of 50k+). Yes, that price comes down if a person uses the sunnata switches but then they still do not have access to the software to configure and program the system. A dealer would still need to give a person access to the software via their license in order to program and maintain their system. Our licenses for these systems are our lifelines. Not something anyone would give up easily when you consider the hoops they go through in order to become a homeworks dealer (C4 qualifications are much lower). Ra3 can be programmed by anyone who takes the free course. If they pass, they'll receive access to ra3 software. Compare that to Homeworks which a person has to be accepted into. Only select dealers who apply will be accepted into the homeworks program. In order to do so, you must have sales above a certain amount, a separate salesperson/team with an established sales record, been in business over a year, in addtion to a team dedicated to design, support, installation, etc. If accepted, you then have to pay approximately 10k for the training. Biggest reason of all though- homeworks is self contained. It doesn't work with udi products. I say that because this is a udi forum. A person coming on here probably wants to use their system with udi controllers. I talk openly about switching to ra3 because I can use C4 with it as I have access to everything I need in order to make it work. My preference is to stay with udi with it but that depends on if they gain access to the API or not. Not many people here has that capability which I readily state during those moments. Im not saying the things I say to argue with you. Just putting the information out there for someone who reads what you've said and think that homeworks is a feasible path to take for their situation. You claim you know 2 people who will sell you what you need for homeworks but not many people have that option. Even still, should they manage to put a system together, without programming, they're dead in the water with thousands of dollars wasted. I'd hate for that to happen to someone so yes, I try to give real world information vs something that someone simply read about online.
  25. I don't get it either. They used to be cheap. I've seen it around 159-179 for gen 3
