Upgrade to Polisy or ISY ZW?
Just to add addition information/confirmation- Michel has stated the isy994 will not be receiving any more updates to it's zwave board. 500 series is as high as it'll go. 800 series was just released by the alliance but it'll probably be 3-5 years before we see devices since 700 is just started to become readily available.aybe some of the holdouts will release 800 series but i doubt it. I do see the 994 receiving firmware updates for the foreseeable future however since they plan on selling it for a while. At the pace UDI does things, i can see this lasting the next few years. I know they mentioned working on moving away from Java. I'd be surprised if the 994 received that as it would be more expedient and less costly to focus on the future vs the past. All this is my assumption and thoughts except for the 500 board. I hope no one takes it as fact since I do not know myself

How to update ZOOZ ZST10 700 stick
That's my plan with my test polisy. I just haven't gotten around to doing it.

How to update ZOOZ ZST10 700 stick
My initial install was all new. I updated the firmware on the stick then added my devices. There's been another firmware release since then which i upgraded to the other day. My devices were still there and working after my upgrade. Having a back up is good practice. I was curious to see what would happen if i didn't do one. Now we have an answer for both scenarios

PLM replacement that works with IoP
I have a few of those. I swapped back out to the PLM. During testing, had nothing but problems. Polisy was in the same location trying to talk to the same devices. Tried 2 different USB sticks. Communication was much slower and many times polisy wouldn't see the button presses. Swap to the PLM, the issues were gone. This was before the latest updates so it could have changed

Very simple instructions requested to get ISY on Polisy
And yet here you are jumping into the fray as if that changes anything. You could've very easily not said anything... Yet you did and not once did you help him

Very simple instructions requested to get ISY on Polisy
Actually i was willing to help and I did. If you look back at all the posts,l (which we know you won't) I left many comments and links trying to help. I didn't say anything until he asked about what password to use for ssh which was in one of the links that was left for him. Still doesn't change what I said. Outside of bugs out hardware issues, if people took the time to educate themselves and prooerly prepare, many support issues could be eliminated

That sucks. Still a good find anyway

LONG Serial Cable for PLM- Works great
Good find. Cheap way for someone to get a new cable as well if they don't have their original one

The reading isn't about the hardware. It's about preparation.

Smoke Bridge Configuration
If memory serves correct you'd use smoke or CO2. They'll go off based on the specific condition. The crazy part about it is I had it when they first came out in my old place in California. I set off the smoke. The sensor trigger my program to run a second or 2 before the detector actually started sounding

100 Packages to Update?
Mine showed blank as well until I triggered them. All of mine came back though at least.

Control (switched) on means the device is physically turned on. Status is referring to status itself. Great if you use voice or apps to turn stuff on/off

Smoke Bridge Configuration
Its been ages since I used this product but I couldve sworn I had the option for smoke or carbon alerts. Does the smoke bridge have more options than you show?

Very simple instructions requested to get ISY on Polisy
I do the same thing (besides telling them to buy what I support so I know how it works. lol). Thats why its imperative that people take the time to read the resources in front of them instead of jumping in after skimming a few lines. It helps us help them when we all have a common experience to fall back on vs someone messing around and potentially hurting themselves more by doing the wrong things

How to update ZOOZ ZST10 700 stick
Mine was a new install and stick. I did upgrade to the latest firmware but didnt do a backup or anything. Nothing was lost during the update

Programs not responding
In addition to what MrBill said, Id also verify that the ISY is actually seeing the button presses. If it's not then that will confirm noise/plm issues. If the ISY does show the status change, run the event viewer on level 3 and see whats happening at the time its supposed to turn off.

Very simple instructions requested to get ISY on Polisy
We are here to help you. With Polisy/Isy, its imperative that you tackle things with a plan of action which requires a lot of work on the back end prior to getting started. Reading the posts/wiki thoroughly instead of skimming through them to familiarize yourself as much as possible with things is of utmost importance. Why? Because this is new for all of us. This isnt the 99/994 which has been around for a decade+ and we've had time to learn the ins and outs of it. While there are alot of similarities, this is still alpha software on a new system with new capabilities. By taking the time to learn everything that you can prior to starting and having all the information in front of you, you can go about things in a methodical way which increases your chance of success. Should things go wrong, those who came before you will be able to better assist, since you'll have a specific reference point to start from. This is why myself and others pushed for you to read and learn prior to doing anything. Yes its exciting to get up and running but that excitement can quickly sour if you dont take the time to properly prepare for things.

You haven't offended me. Since you said you did read the links, i apologize for thinking that you havent. It just didn't seem like you had read the posts since the wiki states (one of the links posted) that the password is admin.

I agree with you completely. I needed help myself (turned out to be a bug) so i completely understand. The only reason why I said something is the op has multiple posts throughout the forums where multiple people have posted and reposted help with all the information that he asked for and told him to read everything completely before starting so he has understanding. Then the first thing he posts is asking for the password for polisy which is stated in the wiki (which was previously posted by someone who also told him to read it). So yes, a lot of people showed grace early on to help him (including me) throughout multiple posts but at some point, people also has to be able to help themselves by taking the advice given

I take it that you didn't take the advice from us and take the time to read the links everyone provided you (including the wiki) since you're asking what's next. Since you're not willing to help yourself, I'm going to bow out of this one. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Polisy:User_Guide

I think that's the first time someone has said that on this forum. ? It's the truth though. I tell you that often.... You just have to give yourself the credit you deserve
