  1. I doubt this will happen for the simple fact that everything else will consume more and more bandwidth. The faster our internet becomes, the more our devices will consume. For example, today's routers are 10x more powerful than routers 10 years ago but we're still in the same position as then. Why? Because 4k HDR streaming along with lossless audio/dolby Atmos, and high fidelity music.....and that's only on your smartphones, tablets, and laptops. How much more bandwidth do you think TV's and video game systems will require? In addition to that, your standard apps like Facebook, Instagram, and others also require more and more bandwidth. Router mfg and cable companies aren't going to suddenly supply cheap/free Enterprise quality routers. Content creators, media and tech companies aren't going to slow down or stop progress just so people can use their bulbs or wall switches at home either. Which puts is back in this same place again. The promise of a better future gets trumped by progress leaving other promising ideas behind
  2. That had nothing to do with it. They were leasing the place. A developer was trying to purchase multiple properties in that area. Some were already sold, torn down and apts built down the street from there on Alton
  3. C4 is installer only so i wouldn't group then with hue. The only similarities between the 2 is the fact that they both use ZigBee. Outside of that, they live in different universes
  4. Magic home. Cheap and there's a Node server for it
  5. Did you try to factory reset and test the behavior
  6. It doesn't work with Polisy at this time and he said he's using zwave otherwise I would've. RA3 is great but you are taking a step back if you don't have access to a compatible advanced controller
  7. Your house probably won't be much smarter with zwave since insteon is much more robust and flexible than zwave. But then again zwave is available while insteon is not. The IOP subforum above this one is all about using Polisy as a stand alone device. It's still in testing but is pretty stable. Zwave doesn't require a PLM. Best is relative when it comes to switches. There are different variables involved. Most popular seems to be Zooz devices. You can find them by doing an Amazon search. When I typed trane in the search bar, It did show people using Trane thermostats with the isy so i assume it works. Currently Tesla Node server does not work. See polyglot cloud Node server forum for more info. In regards to other products capable of being used with polisy, there are subforums dedicated to them. Scroll down on the forum main page and you'll see listings for PG2/PG3. As more come online, that will be updated. Personally, if focus on PG3 since PG2 is deprecated.
  8. That is the update. They're done
  9. I don't know. I've never used their support lines. I thought that change happened a while back in regards to email only. Update: That's it. They're done!
  10. That's been in the so store for a year now
  11. The alternative is to purchase a Polisy. The current V2 node servers aren't being updated nor is polyglot V2 itself. You're wasting your time taking this route as it's only a matter of time before this setup breaks as well
  12. What are your devices tied to your program? The Isy will still work without the router for non IP devices
  13. See directions under insteon support in the wiki instruction manual. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Polisy:User_Guide
  14. Just to confirm, you're using the DB9 port and not the Ethernet port correct? I ask because the 994 doesn't have a DB9 port nor does polisy have 2 DB9 ports
  15. If you had the PLM plugged into Polisy- and powered prior to peeing up Polisy, there may be something wrong with your polisy. You'll want to submit a ticket

A screen shot would help. They'll do what I'm doing and potentially miss something that could help others. This is what I see when I click the link:

All the links show up in blue for me on my phone, tablet, and computer. Are you seeing something different on your end? It may help them fix things if you post a screen shot of what you're fixing
  18. I don't see it being shut down per se vs natural obsolescence. Those with current Rpi installs would still be able to use their stuff until API updates break their installs since those node servers wouldn't receive updates.
  19. I'm with you on this one. Never saw a need to worry about the LEDs when I used them. Especially enough to need to turn them on and off via a program. Insteon probably felt the same way which is probably why it's not an exposed parameter like that
  20. Does both your UI and firmware match?
  21. Pregunta en el forum de insteon. Esto es solo por universal devices. O llama al suporte de insteon
  22. He's not talking about the insteon signal being lost. He's troubleshooting why he's being flooded with X10 commands. With him killing power to the garage, the likelihood of his GDO emitting X10 commands with no power to it, is zero. @jim_ at this point, I'd factory reset each insteon switch and use restore & and write updates to get them reconnected to the Isy. This way you clear out anything that may be in them. If it starts happening again, you could pull the set button on devices one room at a time (at night) to see which area is causing the problem (if its a device). Once you narrow down the room, you can do it individually at the device.
  23. That's because your program reevaluates the if during the wait. When you lock the door, it's no longer unlocked so the program stops running and the light stays on. I typically separate my off programs from my on program so that i have additional flexibility but you can accomplish your task with 1 program. If time is x and (door is unlocked and door is not locked) Then do what you said or else Wait 20sec turn off light
  24. I'd contact the manufacturer at this point as it seems there's something with the devices themselves outside of the controllers
  25. Disconnect the isy! Does it happen? Since it happens on all of them, is remove, manually factory reset and verify behavior prior to adding to the isy.
