  1. Most likely you have a programming running that is causing it
  2. No there is not. What you are asking for probably would not happen either due to security concerns
  3. There lies the issue. Companies make things for the way THEY intend for it to be used knowing they need to protect themselves from end users using it in other ways. Some are more open than others about this. However, the best way to handle those situations is to go with whomever best fills what you are looking for.
  4. I can't help with exact version it was changed in. If I had to take a chance, I'd go with the 1.05
  5. If you have zwave, i like the fibaro units. They have a built in audio alarm, tamper (if someone moves it accidentally), floats, and will stop once dry
  6. It's on every version released the last 3-4 years.
  7. I've been blessed to have met some of the people that work there so I've been privy to more information than the general public. I won't speak on their private matters, but I've seen enough emails and heard enough chats with lawsuit threats from customers due to their customers own mistakes. I'm quite certain other companies go through this as well. While you and some others may not take things to that level, there are many out there that will. From a company standpoint, is a 35 dollar sensor worth the lawyer fees to get something thrown out? This change was made over 3 years ago so it's nothing new. Insteon chose to make it this way for their own specific reasons. There are other options out there if a person doesn't like how it works.
  8. The problem with the law isn't always about whether you win or not. Its still about needing to go to court in the first place. After all- this is the country where we have to tell people their coffee is hot and that a curling iron can burn you.
  9. It could also confirm that they've really looked at it. There's 2 sides of the argument and I understand both. However from a company's perspective, they decided to err on the side of caution and protect themselves.
  10. You need the Isy pro to get those options
  11. It cannot. It's built into the device
  12. There's no heartbeat with the motion sensor. The Isy will not auto update the sensor unless you have a program written to do so.
  13. The guide is the paperwork that comes with all insteon products sold. It's your right to use something without reading the manual. However, you miss out on pertinent helpful information. At that point it's on you not the mfg.
  14. Actually it is....Direct from the QSG that comes with the sensor
  15. I'm not following. If you dont tap the sensor it'll always show as wet setting off whatever you have written to alert you. The reset is only there so that it reports dry
  16. It's in the manual as well
  17. This has been like that for years. Nothing new and gives instructions in the manual. Whoever gave you the reason gave incorrect information. The reason the make you tap the set button is to ensure that you've taken the time to address the situation. Should the sensor get knocked over during a leak or the water pool away from it, you could potentially have an unresolved issue that causes damage. While not great for some people, in today's world of litigation, they felt it necessary to protect themselves.

    New to Z-Wave

Make sure that you are running the latest firmware (5.3.1) and your UI matches. If so your switch may be too far from your Isy to add.
  19. Are you certain? Accordinging to your post you're still showing your UI as 4.7.3 when it should be 5.0.16
  20. You either didn't clear Java properly or you're using the wrong launcher. Both firmware and UI must match
  21. What are the exact model plugs you are having issues with
  22. No. Insteon devices will repeat messages automatically. No controller is needed for that to happen
  23. Greater and less than works with insteon. I use it for my accent lights. As long as the main lights are less than 50% they'll turn on

    Query All

It doesn't matter what they are in when you hit delete

    Query All

That would slow things down as well since the system will continuously look for them before giving up. When removing devices, make sure you disable them in the system (right click on device>disable
