Programs Run Randomly
oberkc, Not sure I understand your question. If the light is Off and I turn it On, or if the light in On and I turn it Off that should not trigger the Then Statement based on the program above ie Status is 100% and Paddle is Switched on Lee, That was simply my attempt to try and ensure the ISY has the correct status after a paddle press. Initially I didn't have these in the program but added them. I don't have any other issues with comms around this phase and run, perhaps I will get myself a new PLM given my current one is going on 6 years. You say if the ISY missed an off command, can you confirm it did? My last press before it triggered was an On.

Programs Run Randomly
Ok so I simplified the program as follows: If ( Status 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is 100% And Control 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is switched On ) And $SB_DN_Kitchen_OnOff is 0 Then $SB_DN_Kitchen_OnOff = 1 $SB_DN_Kitchen_Toggle = 1 Resource 'SqueezeBox On - Downstairs - Kitchen - Z100' Set 'Downstairs - Kitchen' Query Else Set 'Downstairs - Kitchen' Query I then simply went to the kitchen Switchlinc and using the paddle simply turned the Switch on then off, on, off, on, off,......... until the program triggerd the Network Resouce / then statement after about 20 on, off sequence presses (allowing about a second or more between paddle presses). Again based on my paddle presses I don't understand how this program triggers the Network resource/then statement. I have attached a copy of the event viewer below showing the last few paddle presses if that helps, this means nothing to me but perhaps someone with more knowledge can tell me what is going on. What is even stranger to me is when I go to the programs summary page it says the last time the program status is false??? Programs Run Randomly
Absolutely no offense taken, in fact I appreciate someone taking the time to help out. It is the "Music - Kitchen Down - On" program that is triggering. I can now confirm that. The kitchen Switchlinc was OFF (0%) and I just turned it on (100%) via the paddle and the program triggered true. That makes absolutely no sense to me, how can that program trigger true, when switching the Kitchen light from off (0%) to on (100%) from a paddle press based on how that program's if statement is written: If ( Status 'Downstairs - Kitchen' < 1% And ( Control 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is switched Off Or Control 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is switched Fast Off ) ) Or ( Status 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is 100% And Control 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is switched On ) Or Control 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is switched Fast On And $SB_DN_Kitchen_OnOff is 0 Then ..................

Programs Run Randomly
Lee, I upgraded to 4.0.2 in the hope that would fix it but it still reoccurs. Is there some logging we can do here to understand what is going on?

Programs Run Randomly
This is just in there for some debugging I did, you can remove the Off and 100% lines. I use > 99% because if the light is dimmed and I want to get it to 100% I don't want to trigger the music on. I must respectfully disagree, these programs work in my other rooms flawlessly and do exactly what I want but do not work on this particular dualband switchlinc. The problem started when I changed out the Switchlinc to a dualband switchlinc so I suspect that has something to do it with it. Further, what is most troublesome is that the programs on this switchlinc do not run consistently in terms of there is random outcome or at least one that does not follow the program logic.

Programs Run Randomly
I have a whole house music system and have set up a number of programs that call Network Resources that lets me control the music via my insteon Switchlincs in a particular room. The behavior of the programs achieves the following: - If the light switch is on and music is off and I press on then turn on the music to z100 - If the light switch is on and music is already on and I press on then toggle to the next playlist - If the light switch is pressed fast on then turn on the music to z100 - If the light switch is off and music is off and I press off then turn on the music to z100 - If the light switch is on and music is on and I press off then turn off the music - If the light switch is pressed fast off then turn off the music My set of programs are below. My problem is the program will turn on the z100 music stream randomly when it shouldn't turn on. For example, the light switch is off and I turn the light switch on, will end up with z100 playing - this happens randomly, ie program will run as expected (ie turn light on only) a number of times but sometimes it ends up turning the light and music on. Even weirder is that last time it triggered randomly the program summary page showed all 6 programs triggering when the light switch was pressed on (music was off) and all programs showed a status of False but the music was still triggered on, but variables had been set to 1, so clearly program had triggered. The Switchlinc is a dual band. This is driving me nuts as I have the same programs in some rooms that work fine, but in a couple of rooms trigger randomly. I am running on 4.02 and had same problem on 3.3.10. Music - Kitchen Down - On If ( Status 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is Off And Status 'Downstairs - Kitchen' < 1% And ( Control 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is switched Off Or Control 'Downstairs - Kitchen' is switched Fast Off ) ) Or ( Status 'Downstairs - Upgrade from 99i to 994i
Thank You very helpful, I will follow the instructions once the 994i arrives. So it appears that even though I restore from the back up before the Network Resources module is transferred/activated on the new 994i the Network Resources are in fact still there on the 994i, just not accessible until the Network Resource module is activated by UDI?

Upgrade from 99i to 994i
I am sure this exists somewhere on the wiki or forum but I couldn't find it, I just purchased a 994i to upgrade my 99i. Is there an instruction guide for how to replace my 99i with my new 994i when it arrives? I do not want to screw things up and lose my years of configuration, including programs and network resources. I am particularly concerned on how to transfer the network resources module and getting network resources transferred across. Is there a guide for me to follow? I am sure this will be a common question with the new firmware not being available on the old 99i devices going forward.

Venstar T5800 Wi-Fi
The most recent update I got from venstar was "We are planning on having the Insteon module for the T5800 thermostat available around June or July of this year." You may want to wait it out.

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
Thanks Michel that did the trick. I went through all the devices in my network and did the query insteon engine just to be sure. Should a global query insteon engine be part of the upgrade process and/or nightly query all program?

Release 3.2.6 Is Now Official
I have a number of programs that change the on-level of a scene, in particular, at night one program sets the on-level to 40% and then in the morning it sets it back to 100%. These programs have worked flawlessy under 3.1.17 but since upgrading to the latest official release (3.2.6) these programs no longer work. A sample program is below. All devices in question where these programs fail are 2476D v.38 SWL dimmers and 2476D v.40 SWL dimmers.

Scenes Quit Working
Also having problems with Scenes not activating Reliably when called from ISY programs with a 'Set Scene X on or off'. The programs run but the Set Scene commands are not working. When calling the device directly (not through a scene) programs seem to work.

ISY showing v.00 for most devices
I have two Remotelinc's that show version 00. Before I delete them and add them back, does anyone know if Remotelincs have a limitation with ISY and are always added as ver 00? I dont want to delete and add them back to only find out they are listed as ver 00 again. It would be nice if the ISY could automatically query a device and update the version number of the device, but I know there will be many higher prioritity enhancements on the list.

Release 2.8.10 (RC6) Is Now Available
Michel, When I use the test button in Network Resources the response is instant. When I go to the program that triggers the network resource and do a 'run then' I get a 4 to 5 second delay. So it appears the issue / delay is with the program calling the network resource. I don't have anything complex in my 'then' statement it is simply 'Resource X' with X being the name of the network resource. I found this problem when I upgraded to 2.8.10

Release 2.8.10 (RC6) Is Now Available
I have a number of Network Resources that talk to my Squuezebox music system. The Network Resources are called by a number of programs that trigger on SWL double taps. Historically my music system would respond instantly, however ater the last ISY upgrade my Network Resources have about a 5 second delay.

2484 Backlight Brightness
I have a 2484 and the ISY Admin console doesn't give me an option to change the LED brightness. Is this an oversight in the ISY code or is there something wrong with my installation of the device into the ISY?

Official Firmware Release: 2.7.15
After upgrading to 2.7.15 the strangest thing happend. I have two v2 thermostats that where installed correctly under 2.7.14 with the four nodes. After upgrading to 2.7.15 one of the thermostats lost three of the nodes. A few days later the other thermostat did the same thing and appeared as a single node. I removed them from isy and added them back. Each has four nodes again. So far so good. Very strange.

Thermostat Current State off by few degrees
Mike, Did you Query the thermostat? The thermostat doesn't automatically send temperature changes, it must be querried. There is a post on the forum with a program that querries the thermostat every x amount of minutes. Not sure if this is your problem, but you should querry the thermostat from the ISY and see if values match.
