Separate ISYs on Different ISPs
Thanks, Stu. As always, most helpful, but I am still uncertain of next steps. For the purpose of simplification of my request, I offer the following: I have two ISYs located at different homes which, for the purpose of illustration I will refer to as A and B. I have an ISY portal set up for each home. Portal A has 5 Echo’s and is setup complete with spokens and works fine. Portal B will soon be set up up and receiving one Echo. I have read and read about setting up this second portal, and this is what I think I need to do: 1. Create a new Amazon account (non prime). 2. Include the Echo at B in the portal for B. 3. Set up spokens in Portal B. Will I end up with two apps on my iPhone using this approach? I would prefer to avoid that. It appears to me that using this approach spokens at B should be completely segregated from those at A. Am I correct? Any help will be appreciated.

Separate ISYs on Different ISPs
I have ISYs at two separate locations, each using a different ISP. The primary location is in the ISY Portal and is successfully working with the app to control 5 Echo’s. The secondary location is also in the Portal, and I can successfully access the secondary ISY and control devices at that location. I have not yet added any Echo’s at that location, but will do so in a couple months when I am on scene. I have read the wiki, but I am at a loss as to how to add Echo’s at that site and have them only control devices at that location. My guess is that I must set up a separate Amazon account for that location. Is that correct? Will that require a second app??? Some help/guidance will be much appreciated.

Problem with Spokens
Sorry, I missed what you said above, Stu. I will delete from the App and Re-discover using Alexa.

Problem with Spokens
After the devices are forgotten in the app (I have the app), I assume that all that is then needed is to tell Alexa to discover new devices. Correct?

Problem with Spokens
Stu, how do I get the app to "forget all"?

Problem with Spokens
I have a ToggleLinc that is used to turn on a bedroom light. The spoken "Turn On/Off Donnie's Bedroom Light" works without fail. When I change the spoken in the portal to "Turn On/Off Donnie's Bedroom" and tell Alexa to discover new devices I am told that two were discovered and that the new spoken "Donnie's Bedroom Light" cannot be found. If I then use the spoken "Turn on Donnie's Bedroom Light" that spoken is executed. It is as if there were a "phantom" device with the deleted spoken somehow remaining in the Echo. I have checked to see if the device ID is used elsewhere in the portal or a duplicate record is to be seen. When I select Smarthome in the App I see 5 icons labeled "Dad's Bedroom Light" (a name for that device which was subsequently changed) and 5 labeled "Donnie's Bedroom Light". My guess is this is where my problem stems from. What do I need to do to ensure that only the most up-to-date devices and spokens are in the Echo database? Would I need to somehow delete the data in the App and repopulate it from the portal? Your help will be appreciated.

Battery Devices & Replacing a PLM
Unfortunately, no, not at the vacation home. I just saw, however, that the Pro module is $30. I think I will purchase it. Some of my 10 battery devices are located about 90 feet from the house and one is in a detached cellar. I have arthritic knees. So, I am going to purchase the module if, for no other reason than this, it will be worth it. Are there any pitfalls associated with download and installation of the module that you are aware of? I will be doing everything remotely and will not be at the site for 2 months. Should I perhaps wait until I am there?

Battery Devices & Replacing a PLM
Nothing at this time. I am preplanningreplacing a failing PLM at a vacation home. I won't be on scene for 2 months. It is precisely why I remain upset with the atrocious quality of this vital piece of equipment.

Battery Devices & Replacing a PLM
I am curious why disabling battery devices could not be used instead of unlinking. Sure would be a lot easier.

Lost Control of All Devices Using Alexa Spokens
Thanks, my perceived success with a reboot may have merely coincided with remedy of the problem elsewhere.

Lost Control of All Devices Using Alexa Spokens
Spokens no longer work with any of my devices. I get the message: Error Devices are not available. I have tried asking Alexa to discover new devices--didn't help. I need help! Please ignore this post. I rebooted my Mac and full functionality of the portal has been restored.

Help / ISY Finder:Not Found
I ran into a recent problem on my Mac with the Admin Console. I resolved it by downloading the most recent version of Java (I had a pending update). I deleted the cache and downloaded the Admin Console and my problem with the Admin Console was resolved. Won't hurt to give this a try.

All is well here. Thanks.

Portal Problem
I made no changes whatsoever. Keypads and switches working fine. Given the message I received when I attempted to login to the portal (ISY not online) sounds like a problem with the portal. Yoohoo, Benoit!

Portal Problem
Alexa stopped executing any commands. A check of the portal says my ISY is not online.

Java Icon Appears on Startup and Admin Console Does Not Appear as the App Running
Michel Kohanim: I don't know whether you will see this or not but this is info. you should know. You may recall spending a great deal of time with me trying to resolve why the programs did not appear in the device tree of an ISY located remotely from my location. You finally got it to work using the portal. Yesterday, accessing my local ISY w/o the portal resulted in the Java app appearing in the middle of my computer screen and the Admin Console did not appear as the app being run. Instead the app was Java Web Start. Aside from that things appeared normal. I sought help at the forum just in case someone had the same problem. Apparently no one had so I dowloaded a recent pending Java update, cleared the cache and downloaded the Admin Console. That resolved the display issues. I then directly accessed the remote ISY without the portal and checked the program tree. All of my programs appeared! Apparently, there was a problem with Java that caused the program tree to not display properly. I hope you see this because someone else may encounter the same problem.

Am I the only one to encounter this?

Java Icon Appears on Startup and Admin Console Does Not Appear as the App Running
I tinkered a bit w/o success. I am anxious to avoid doing more since everything is working except the app doesn't identify itself as the admin console but as Java Web Start. I will wait to see if someone has encountered and successfully resolved the matter. Otherwise, I will submit a ticket. I have received notice that a Java update is available, but I am going to avoid doing that until I know what is going on.

Java Icon Appears on Startup and Admin Console Does Not Appear as the App Running
Today, when I double-clicked on the Admin Console icon on the desktop a Java message appeared in the center of the screen. A couple of minutes late the device tree and programs appeared but instead of Admin Console the app running was identified as Java. Something is clearly wrong but before I race off blindly seeking a solution I considered it best to consult with the forum and get expert advice.
