  1. I too am getting these messages. Also getting “the skill for that device is not enabled, please enable the skill and try again”. Even though it says that the command is executed normally.
  2. Thought I’d ask. Recently another forum member ordered a new ISY before finding out the power supply was bad. ?
  3. Did you verify your ISY’s power supply is good?
  4. Sorry, meant to say moved ISY closer
  5. Recently started getting into zwave. Have small amount of zwave devices; 4 door sensors, 2 thermostats, 4 sirens, and 3 Schlage locks. Pretty stable system until 5.0.13a. It seemed like everytime I started the AC there were communication error pop up boxes.(usually the zw door sensors) Also had to move the ISY closer to one Schlage lock to get it to include. The system worked well and it didn't seem like the comm issues I'd see in the AC were affecting anything. Installed new dongle, restored zw a couple of times, queried everything, and did node synchronization. Everything came back, got a few ghost nodes which I put in their own folder.Had to activate each door sensor to wake them up. The Schlage locks all had comm errors with red exclaimation marks. I found that if I selected one then hit "options", then query, the lock would work fine. Even the one lock I had to move closer to the ISY started working correctly without having to move anything. When I open AC now I get none of the annoying zwave comm errors that I was getting before. Right now everything works great. (then it's only been a couple of days) *The only thing I didn't do was a network heal. Reluctant to do one since everything working well.
  6. After installing the new dongle is it okay to specify “query at restart” again, or do we leave it off?
  7. Go to the forum that Goose pointed to. There are installation videos made by einstein42 which guide you through it perfectly. I don't know about running it on an old android device, I had a problem installing polyglot on an old rpi so I got a new one which installed it with no problem............You should be able to use Google home to open and close just like other commands given to ISY. (I use Amazon echo) I use network resources, not IFTT, to text me when the door opens/closes. A bit more programming to let you know how long its been open but doable. Don't put off polyglot, its a winner. (remember you have to be on 5.0.x firmware first)
  8. Never thought of using a MS to poll for door status. Could you explain a bit more your program and how you use it??? Thanks!
  9. I use the MyQ Nodeserver through Polyglot. Works great! More reliable than any method i've used before. (insteon iolinc, insteon door sensor, zwave tilt sensor...)
  10. Saw a new one after upgrade to 5. A few programs were yellow which meant that the program will not run until something in the body was changed. (Like there were things there which Isy didn’t recognize)
  11. You might consider starting a new thread on that. I don’t remember ever having that issue.
  12. My vol up and down keypads work great in the basement. I linked it to Alexa in the portal -> it works! “Alexa, turn up the volume on Basement Speakers” runs my program right away. However, Alexa thinks for a long time and comes back with a “Sorry Basement Speakers is not responding.” Don’t quite understand
  13. Figure it out how to do it with only Global Cache first. Maybe just a simple on/off first. Barry relies on many, many Rpi’s in his system and I’m not sure how another piece in the puzzle would benefit anything.
  14. I set up my Global Cache to control my tv using info in this thread https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/4810-the-global-cache-wf2ir-works/?p=37381 I then set up a program to trigger the network resource, and used the portal to link to Alexa. It works fast and you don’t have to preface a skill in your command.
  15. Use Alexa Routines. Make two routines. one "open and one "closed". Make each call for the same action...
  16. Use a program If button pushed Then turn on light Read about programming in the Wiki and I'm sure you"ll be doing much more... http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Add_to_Program
