Pex is way better than copper. It eliminates all T-junctioms and elbows; thus increasing water flow and pressure. I have a ranch style house with an open basement. Since I'm building out the basement I'm adding Pex as new plumbing and at the same time replacing all the copper. I do not have to open any walls. Cost of water and gas is not an issue. I'll use an Arduino to communicate with the ISY. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk

Maybe I'm confused here. I thought the ISY communicated with the Portal. If this is the case, can the ISY send a message to the portal that is then sent to the FCM? Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk

I'm three steps ahead of you. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk

I'm pulling all the copper out of my house and putting in Pex. This will allow me to place flow sensors and shut off valves on any run I want. Yes, I know exactly what I'm doing and since I don't want my house flooded I will be using all proper equipment. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk

No I don't. I'm stopping it. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk

I want to know when hot water is flowing in any of the three showers. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk

But why not just use a simple flow switch? No pulses. The water is flowing and it's on. Best regards, Gary Funk

That's not what I was looking for but it would work. That device measures flow and while it will work, I just want to know if water is moving. Thanks for the link. That device has some interesting uses. Best regards, Gary Funk

The valve does not know when water is flowing. You would need something inline to tell you water is flowing. I'm looking but have not found anything. Best regards, Gary Funk

Yes, it's odd. Light on means on. His wife has interpreted the LEDs on dimmer switches incorrectly. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk

No, he wants the button that is on to be dim and the button that is off to be bright. To change to light on or off you press the button that is the brightest. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk
-
Ah, the dimmers have a LED matrix that shows the on level from bottom to top. The matrix was placed at the top half of the switch which gives that false illusion. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk

I want to use "Zen" as my wake word and when I tell Zend to do something it will do it and respond with "Confirmed." And when Zen has something to tell me it will say "Information" and wait for me to respond with "Zen" and then tell me the information. Short and to the point. Best regards, Gary Funk -
