  1. No, during normal operations no led blinking of any kind. Don't know about the key beeping on pressing, mine doesn't and that's not a feature I'm using. I do "beep" the on/off keypad from an ISY program, that works..
  2. Hmmm. Nope... you are right. The relay was the last one I put in and I thought I remembered changing the LED. However, @v.44, does not have it The dimmer manual mentions "blink red" and "bink green" behavior, the relay does not mention it. .Paul
  3. The couple I've bought in the last 2 - 3 years have had that feature. Its a "rolled up" indicator of Insteon group clean up. It will flash 1 - 3 seconds after a press: Green means the keypad heard back from all responders; red means at least one did not respond. While its great for proving that a scene is solid, in day to day use its distracting and annoying for family members (why does it do that?). I turn led notification off in the in the control panel once installation has proven to be done.
  4. I have 3 of the Insteon MS's outside. I change the batteries proactively in late march and early September so I don't have to do it in the snow
  5. I use 3 keypads in a kitchen / family room for a similar purpose and it works fine. I did convert a 6 to an 8 and had some confusion. I suggest factory resetting one of them, and then right click on it and pick restore device (you do not need to delete the keypad from the ISY or change the scenes) Retest and see if that does it. Paul
  6. Any chance the keypads were originally 8 button and converted to 6? If you don't know, you can tell by clicking on one in the admin console and reading the information at the top of the screen under its name. In addition to the model number, it will say 8 button or 5 button. Paul

another way to look at it is risk management or insurance: The probability of an attack is low, but the impact of it if it happened ranges from annoying to disastrous, depending what is automated and how its exposed on the network You probably won't get into a major car accident. Your house probably won't burn down... yet both are typically insured.
  8. yep! factory reset it, if it doesn't stop. That may fix it. Paul
  9. If unplugging the PLM helped, its a "runaway" device sending repeated messages on the powerline and overwhelming the PLM/ISY. A pushed in set button could be the culprit. Pull the air gap out as described above, Plug the PLM back and reboot the ISY. Did you get control back? If yes, push the set tab back to its normal operating position. Test the switch Paul
  10. The reset button is also usually the "air gap", allowing the switch to be physically turned off. With a very small screwdriver, gently pull that tab all the way out and leave it pulled out. See if the messages stop after a few minutes. Push it back in when that's the case. Paul
  11. I believe that the X10 RX is receiving a message. Do you have X10 devices? Any chance you have a "runaway" x10 device? After the ISY is up and running, uplug the PLM to stop the receipt of messages and see if you get control back. Paul

John If clearing java cache doesn't help, I would Uninstall / reinstall java on the computer Download and run the new ISY Launcher After running the ISY Launcher for the first time, use the blue UD icon to select and run the Admin Console from here on out Paul
  13. Hi Carl, and welcome to the UDI Forums- This is a common problem with the ISY, its a function of how you initially configured the ISY's networking on your last router. Since you still have your old router, here's what to: Turn on your old router and plug the ISY in Use the Admin Console to get access Check the the DHCP box, leave the UPnP un-checked Click Save Unplug the ISY's power Plug the ISY into the new router's network Plug the ISY's power back in The ISY will be at a different IP address, but the ISY Finder/Launcher will work that out Paul
  14. Hi These items, especially the first one, are all classic symptoms of a dying plm. Its not always an instant event, it can be slow motion over time. Order a new PLM Paul
  15. The good news is that its a one time step and done. This "cloud based" nodeserver capability will be used for additional Portal based node servers in the future.
  16. Did you set up the node server, under configure? The ISY should reboot when that completes
  17. Hi and welcome to the UDI Forums! Did you follow this procedure?
  18. My open/close sensors have the insteon id on a sticker next to the battery under the cover. I have also added them via Linking Mode. There have been times I've had to move the sensor closer to a dual band device get it added, and then move it back to install location later, and it works fine Paul
  19. FWIW, HAD pages continue to function properly for Insteon on 5.0.13, accessed both locally or through the portal. Paul
  20. There's this designed, for this purpose. I've had one on my panel from my X10 days. Its a little cleaner install Paul
  21. The occupancy node in the ISY Portal is a nodeserver, which makes it a V5 only feature. You'll need to upgrade to V5 to take advantage of it. Or use IFTTT as you've been trying. You do not need your ISY user and password when using the links in locative. The "lots of letters and numbers" is a long key tied to your account. It would be difficult-to-impossible for someone to randomly "find" your geo fence by guessing. FWIW, I've tried the IFTTT version with variables and the ISY Portal Occupancy Node. I now use V5 and Locative with the ISY portal occupancy node and it works great Paul
  22. There is configuration information from the ISY that didn't get written to the iolinc. Right-click on either of those items and and click "write updates" from the menu that is presented. Sometimes devices in garages are further away in terms of wire-feet and its hard for the PLM to finish the write updates. Because the iolinc is single band this can make it harder. If you still have problems, trying temporarily moving a dualband module like a lamplinc out on that circuit, finish the writes and move it back
  23. Use Wait, as dbuss suggests. You can also combine that with a repeat statement to keep the reminder coming at regular intervals. It will stop once the door is closed if door is on then wait 5 minutes repeat every 5 minutes send notification 'xxxxx"
  24. Put java and the AC on a minimalist vm, or AWS or azure vm and spin it up when you need it. Is the attack surface of a "recompiled" java app any smaller than regular java? Paul
  25. @Michel Kohanim Do you know what to do in this case? Paul
