when I log into portal, my ISY has a green circle next to it showing that it works. If I try to use the portal for "ISY Web access" under "Select Tool...", it WORK JUST FINE. But, I want to use Admin Console. I prefer it. To try to access it, I go to "Select tool..." and then "ISY Information" and I see the "URL to ISY :" which says https://my.isy.io/isy/(bigcode here)". When I cut and past this whole URL into a chrome or internet explorer browser, then it asks me for my login. I use my PORTAL credentials and then it says: "Requested ISY not online". If I use the one that says the same url but with a "/desc" at the end of it, I get a document tree page that has this at the top of it: "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." Any suggestions as to how to get to my ADMIN CONSOLE remotely?

can you provide specific instructions as to how to access an isy from outside the home network? I tried using the options above and they didn't work.

Okay, thank you for the help Techman. What does "ST 255" mean in my attached photo, by the way?

Is there any easy way to disable the keypad? I looked to see if there are any programs running and there are a few but they don't use any devices, they are mostly running a wait program.

quite a bit of the time that I am trying to run programs or do things, the system takes a long time to reply. While I was working on some programs tonight, this popped up a few times: the address that it shows, 1C 8C 74, is that of a keypadlinc any ideas as to what might help this problem?

I used this today and it was very helpful. The important things for me were: the 100 msec timeout and realizing that the script that was running on my old Redeye (network remote control device) was clogging up the Denon receiver and as soon as I unplugged my Redeye it solved most of my problems. thank you for your time Alx9r.

I'd like to confirm that it works with 994 and works when on the network but also when on cellular or outside network.

I looked at the free version of mobilinc and I don't see a way to run a program. Can you do that with the $20 version?

I used these instructions and the upgrade from 99 994 was a piece of cake. I was concerned about losing my hours of work to upgrade and there were no problems. When I got to number 8 my climate and networking modules were missing. I sent the email to universal devices and they sent me the modules and then when I opened the modules, all of my previous "work" (data) was in them. It was seamless. The programs even repopulated themselves with the networking info that was missing before the modules were restored.

I used to use the app called AtHome but when I upgraded to 994, the AtHome app doesn't work any more. I would guess that it will get updated at some point in the future, but in the meantime are there suggestions as to which app to use? I saw some apps that cost $50 or so and this seems ridiculous. Any suggestions as to how I can run programs from an iphone or ipad without spending a small fortune (until AtHome gets fixed)?

I have not resolved this problem yet. I talked with smarthome and they want me to send them the PLM the next time that it "forgets" everything. Homey can't play that because I cannot be without my automation system for a week or two while I wait until they send me another one or send it back. I don't know whether my power supply is on the opposite phase or not. Should that matter? It is NOT on the same outlet as the PLM.
-
I sent it to the support email as above. I sent another one, just now.
-
I sent an email and haven't seen a reply.

I have the PLM in a dedicated outlet that has a phase coupler on the same line and nothing else on this fuse. I am thinking that I'll need to be having the problem when your team helps me and the problem is that as soon as I recognize the problem, I do a "restore PLM" so that I can get the system back up and going.

Believe it or not, I just replaced my PLM with a brand new one Monday. v9B. This is my third PLM. One had this problem about six months ago and I replaced it. The second one worked for a while, but then started to have the same problem. I called smarthome and they sent me this v9B one and I installed it and did all of the updating, including the proper technique to switch it out. Interestingly, it worked well for 24 hrs and then it "forgot" everything again. I went to "Show PLM Links table" and it was blank when I pressed "start". I did "restore PLM" again and it fixed it and it has worked since (only three days now). Yes, this is quite peculiar (and frustrating, I might add). I made a program that sends me a text message if my ISY hasn't heard from any motion sensors for 9 hours so that I know when this happens. Any thoughts? I'm on 3.3.8

Sometimes as often as daily before a "restore plm" fixes it. Sometimes it works for a month or two before needing to be restored.

fyi: I just got my third PLM (second brand new one) that keeps losing it's link records. I don't want o highjack this thread, so I'll post elsewhere if it continues to happen, but I wanted to let it beknownst.

will I have to buy the modules again?
-
I'm sure that this has been answered before, but I can't find it in a search. Too much info comes up when I search. 1) What benefits would I expect to gain if I upgrade to a 994i? 2) Does the hardware change or is it more like buying a new module where I can do it all online? 3) Is there anything important that I need to know about making the switch? I wouldn't have to start over or spend hours getting the new unit to work, would I?
-
This happened again a couple of days ago and then again today. Getting old. I think I'll just buy ANOTHER new PLM. I don't really have time to goof with this simplehomenet solution.

I have 8 or so 2420M sensors and some of them do this for me. I notice that they seem to have a dead battery as they aren't telling my ISY that there is motion, but as soon as I press the set button, they resume normal function. I have beeen meaning to ask about this on the forum. Any ideas as to how to prevent this?

I am actually trying to be able to turn the bottom light on (I'm talking about the little LED that illuminates the button). I currently have the buttons on "non-toggle, on". Is there a way to make the bottom "off" button light up?
-
When I turn on the KPL, the top button lights up and when I press the bottom button, it turns off. How do I get the bottom button to light up? using a scene? how?

I don't think anything else communicates with the PLM. I'm really don't know what could do that. I use some REST commands from my REDEYE remote control system to control the ISY, but this doesn't sound like what you are asking. Any suggestions as to how to resolve this problem?

Power cycling the PLM didn't change anything. FYI: power cycling the ISY didn't change anything, either. I had to "restore PLM" again to resolve the issue today.
