  1. I realize not all devices can be direct linked but I checked with Yolink about direct linking the relay before buying it. I believe Yolink promoted this direct link capability in particular for their water shutoff valve as a means to overcome criticism about their system depending upon the cloud. In my case, it came down to a choice of direct connecting the relay or replacing my Z-wave shutoff valve with the Yolink one, which was considerably more expensive than the relay. Also, I had already mechanically attached the Z-wave shutoff valve to my water shutoff valve. The speaker hub can not be triggered locally without an internet connection. I tried it and it did not work. Not sure if the local hub gets around this issue. The reason I used the alarm panel was because the relay needs to be powered (12V I believe). So, I mounted the relay on the alarm panel and powered it from that... just easier for me
  2. I relaced all my Z-wave leak sensors with Yolink leak sensors because the reporting from the Z-wave sensors was spotty and battery life was poor. Since Yolink has the capability to direct connect wirelessly devices together, I made use of that capability so I would not have to depend on the internet/cloud being available. This way they are operating in a local mode as well. I direct connected all the leak sensors to a Yolink relay which then connects to a home automation zone in my alarm panel which is being monitored by eisy (although I could have used an insteon sensor instead of an alarm panel zone). The eisy then triggers a Z-wave water shutoff value (which I originally got with the Z-wave leak sensors) when a leak is detected. It will also send an email if the internet is up. I set this up before the Yolink local hub was available. This has operated/triggered 2 or 3 times successfully over the past year or so. I don't use Alexa but I do have 4 speaker hubs scattered through the house. They are used to announce various events like garage door being left open and water being shutoff due to a leak. @Panda88 It looks like you can have more than 10 messages. I believe you suggested earlier in the year to try more; so, I did. I tried 11 messages and that worked. Not sure what the limit would be Gary
  3. My wall switches and plugin modules (200+) are Insteon except for a few Z-wave plugin modules that are just used as repeaters and a Z-wave water shutoff valve (insteon did not have one). I tried using a number of Z-wave leak detectors but found battery life and reliability not what I wanted. The detectors just dropped off-line too often. I switched over to Yolink leak detectors which are working great - no problems at all; they have triggered a house water shutoff twice, once from a washing machine hose leak and the second from a sink tap leak. I use Yolink speakers to announce problems like this throughout the house I do have 13 Z-wave shades which work fairly well although I do find once in a while that 1 or more shades stop responding properly (maybe after I have rebooted eisy - not sure). I do a network heal and this seems to resolve the issue. I have 8 Hunter Douglas shades that are controlled with a plugin. These work flawlessly. I bought the Z-wave shades before the plugin was available since I wanted to control shades with eisy. If I had it to do over again and the plugin was available, I would purchase Hunter Douglas shades to use with the plugin. In summary, for me Insteon and plugins are my first choice and Z-wave second for devices that are only available with that protocol Gary
  4. @sjenkinsso far everything is working just fine. I will let you know if I run across any problems. Here are the logs from the non production install HunterDouglas_10-9-2025_124159_PM.zip
  5. @sjenkinsthanks again for looking into this. The reinstall worked without raising the error message. I am running on eisy and have been since it was introduced
  6. @sjenkinsOK here it is HunterDouglas_10-6-2025_110206_AM.zip
  7. @sjenkinsOK here is the log file. AC shows it as connected but programs not working HunterDouglas_10-5-2025_102538_AM.zip
  8. @sjenkinsSeems to be running according to the AC but PG3 shows this message
  9. @sjenkins Glad to help. I was initially delaying testing because I thought IOX 6 was about to be released and I was hoping to install it first before testing. I installed your production version and it is working well.
  10. @sjenkinsYes everything appears to be working normally. Thanks for your help. You were correct about the app. it did not show status either. I refreshed the battery status and it now appears in both the app and your plugin. I suspect the AC lockup issue that occurs with both plugin versions installed might just be a problem with the AC
  11. @sjenkinsOK thanks. No matter what I do/try I cannot get the AC programs tab to open if I have both the production and beta versions installed at the same time in different slots even with one or the other stopped - the AC just freezes; so I deleted the beta version and installed the beta version into the production slot. This seems to be working o.k. I can open the AC programs tab and a test of one of my programs worked successfully. I can also manually open and close a shade from the AC. I notice one of my shades battery status says "no status". All the other shades show battery status
  12. @sjenkinsJust a follow up. I tried manually opening and closing one of the shades from the AC using both the beta and production versions once I identified the shade using the number and that worked ok. Both beta and production were installed. I still cannot load programs with both beta and production installed.
  13. @sjenkinsI was thinking of biting the bullet and just install the beta version as a replacement for the production version and test it that way but first I thought I would see if I could manually operate the shades from the beta version in the AC; however, I noticed that the names are not correct now. Just wondering if you changed anything.
  14. @sjenkinsOK sounded like a good idea. Stopped all plugins except the HD ones then started the AC. Still had the same problem. Did an update and reboot from the AC. Restarted the AC but still have the same issue
  15. @sjenkinsI set both versions to 60 & 600. Still locks up loading wigets for scenes
  16. @sjenkinsI am using 5 and 60 for the production version and 10 and 120 for the beta version (that is what was defaulted to at installation). I tried 5 and 60 with the beta version but still the same results No change to the hunter douglas programs; minor tweaks to a few lighting and sprinkler programs. All programs seem to be running correctly.
  17. @sjenkinsHere are the log files. I reinstalled the beta plugin, then stopped both the production and nonproduction versions in PG3. I then opened the AC but when I go to the programs tab I get the same freeze/lockup issue with create widgets for scenes. I am guessing that I might not have the issue if only the beta version is installed but I am a bit reluctant to try as it will likely create issues with my existing programs HunterDouglas_9-18-2025_102658_AM.zip pg3_9-18-2025_102839_AM.zip system_9-18-2025_102926_AM.zip
  18. @sjenkinsI don't have a preference as to how the name is formed. Whatever you decide is fine by me. Some observations: having both node server versions installed and just stopping stopping either one by itself still results in a AC lockup/freeze at "creating widgets for scenes" when the beta version is running, it shows as connected in the AC and disconnected in the AC after it is stopped when the production version is running, it shows as true in the AC and also shows as true in the AC after it is stopped
  19. @sjenkinsOK I see 17 nodes loading into PG3 same as in the production version but if I open the AC I see this The top one is from the beta version. The last entry there should be "Living Room - Open Shades Half Way". Looks like you are truncating the beginning of the string instead of the end of the string? Also, I cannot get programs to open properly with both plugin versions installed. It mostly loads but then locks up or is too busy to respond and I have to kill the task
  20. @sjenkinsOK. Here is the log file. Thanks again for creating the plugin. The production version has been running flawlessly. I find it much more convenient to use it than to use the cell phone app HunterDouglas_9-16-2025_102529_AM.zip
  21. @sjenkinsAlso...I cannot open my programs in the AC. It gets to creating widgets for scenes and freezes. I had to delete the non production version in order to access my programs. Is the large log file possibly causing this?
  22. Yes. I copied the one used in the production version It says log file too large. Here is a snipit
  23. @sjenkins Did a delete and reinstall but still not seeing shades. Version is still 1.13.0. Is this still the previous one?
  24. @sjenkinsInstalled and configured it but it is only showing 1 node in PG3 even after a couple of restarts. The production version shows 17 nodes. I have not checked in the AC yet
  25. @sjenkinsthanks, good information to know. I will install and test G2
