"Applied Locally" Demystified
Even my very old SwitchLincs responded to ISY settings. Are you sure that it's a dimmer and not a relay? Have you tried setting the On-level manually?

Amazon Echo - Connected Home Feature!
My latest Echo has three awake choices, Alexa, Amazon and Echo. I don't see a way to add different skills to each Echo.

New PLM still restoring 24 hours later
Be sure to take any battery powered device out of linking mode before adding another!!!

Amazon Echo - Connected Home Feature!
It is possible to have multiple Echos (I have three), but they're all identical. If you want each to be different, then you'll need a separate portal and ISY for each. You do not need a true condition to cause Then or Else statements to be executed. In fact, you don't need any If condition at all. On runs Then and Off runs Else.

"Applied Locally" Demystified
Not here. If I click on the device and change the local On-level, I can see the level change both on-screen [Current State] [On Level] and at the load itself. At this point the load is on at the selected level. If I then turn it off at the switch and then on again, the load responds at the selected level.

If you're referring to setting the On-level and ramp rate when you select a device within a scene, then yes, that will set those attributes to the physical device. Are you changing the device wired to the load?

New PLM still restoring 24 hours later
What you did was to start again. My suggestion was to power-cycle the ISY.

New PLM still restoring 24 hours later
The ISY should remember where it was at. It does not depend on the computer, although rebooting may help. You may need to power-cycle the ISY.

New PLM still restoring 24 hours later
The only battery powered devices I've had time out were original RemoteLincs--until I moved the most stubborn ones to the detached garage which, fortunately, had a few dual-band devices. Did you back-up the ISY prior to replacing the PLM?

Did I waste $49 on the network package, or is my PLM dying?
Manuals are available on-line.

Did you try the appropriate factory reset? The method you mentioned is not correct.

Amazon Echo - Connected Home Feature!
I cna't see anything digital doing a linear search, but if it did would it be through the portal which lists devices alphabetically or via Echo which does not used alphabetical listings?

Java 8 update 71, now scenes commands not working
I agree with Michel.. I just tested about 8 scenes that include Micro Modules on a 32-bit Windows 10 machine with Java 8 update .71 and had 100% success. Try Restore Device and/or Write Updates to Device or clearing the Java cache as suggested by larryflix.

ISY-994i and Insteon Hub
What more detail are you looking for? There's lots information on the forum about integrating Hue and Z-Wave thermostats install similar to Insteon thermostats, but you do need the Z-Wave modules.

Sounds like a new PLM is in your future.

ISY skill version 2 is now live
If there's more than on girl, than the correct spelling is girls' (no trailing s). The apostrophe is silent

A factory reset is described in the Owner's Manual. There are three depending on the revision of your Open/Close sensor.

Garage door opened at 2:57am by itself! Help
Momentary B works for me. I don't care if an On or Off is sent, I want to control the garage door with one tap like virtually all garage door remotes.

Linking battery-powered accessories and other observations
Nope. I do need to use the Insteon ID.

Amazon Echo - Connected Home Feature!
Unless you have more than one device that begins with the word "kitchen." I have bunches of living room devices. If I just use "living room," then Alexa will ask which on. Then I need to specify which. In that case "light" works, "lights" doesn't. Or I can use "light" for the scene (can't adjust brightness) and "lights" for the device (can adjust brightness).

Amazon Echo - Connected Home Feature!
That's OK for on and off, but that won't allow the choice of saying "X light on" or "X lights on" for the same lights. Two identical scenes or programs are required for that. Edit: you can't use the same controller for two scenes. You can for two programs with different names. Or one scene and one program.

Dont own an Echo (yet) but have Mobilinc
We have multiple Echos, but they all respond to the same ISY commands. OTOH, each Echo can play different songs concurrently. The Fire TVs are also independent (e.g., different movies at the same time)

Is it Possible to make LEDs track in SwitchLincs?
There are several links involved between two Insteon devices in a 3-way configuration. The primary device has a link as a controller of the secondary device. It also has a link as a responder to the secondary device. The secondary device also needs each of these links. If the primary device is a dimmer, then each the primary and secondary device have to be aware of both the On-levels and ramp rates (each the primary and secondary can be different in both respects). That's all without a PLM plus a manager such as the ISY. The ISY takes some shortcuts. Manual links can mess that up because the ISY is mostly unaware of any manual link made prior to or after adding the device
