  1. Does not work: Computer Ceiling Computer Light Computer Room Ceiling Computer Room Light Computer Fan Computer Motor Computer Room Fan Computer Room Motor Does work: Computer Room but I'd like to be able to control both the light and fan. The device being controlled is a FanLinc
  2. Do you have the same wall switch? Which specific motor and wall switch do you have? NO means normally open (i.e., no influence from the magnet) and NC means normally closed. Which you use depends on whether you prefer the responded to be lit when the door is open or closed. In any case, instructions are in the on-line Owner's Manual.
  3. There are no conditions that initiate Else. That's because the condition indicates what to occur only when the MS sends an On. To trigger the else, you'll need a statement like, "And Control 'Outside / Front Door Motion Sensor-Sens' is not switched Off." As it stands now, Else never runs. Back to the program, it should have run correctly. But, if you have a different program that controls some or all of those lights, then that may be the culprit. Post that program.
  4. All my device/scene names are preceded with a 2-letter prefix that's the same as the room name, for example MR Fan is the ceiling fan in the media room, DR Light is the dining room light. Similarly named rooms can be accommodated, too by using FB and RB for fof and rear bathrooms, respectively. Interior device that don't fit neatly into a 2-letter room are preceded by IN, such as IN Attic Lights, EX for exterior and GG is Gates & Garages.
  5. Thanks for the update
  6. Where are you getting the ! ? NTP errors should not affect devices, communication errors will.
  7. Michel changed the portal from MobiLinc support to w/o Mobilinc support. I'm don't know how it got changed as the portal was functioning fine until Sunday afternoon.
  8. Thanks, Michel
  9. Did you simply use black, red and white as line, load and neutral (absolutely incorrect)? Or did you reconnect some wire to ensure that both boxes have line and neutral and connect only one dimmer to the load?
  10. The portal still indicates that the ISY has been offline since Sunday, December 13th, 2:11:41PM. I tried deleting and reinstalling the ISY from the portal. That didn't help at all. Do I give up on being able to use Echo? Is there a refund procedure so I can begin again? Is there no solution?
  11. Oops, wrong log sent. Correct log is on the way.
  12. Tried an ISY reboot. Opened a Telnet session, but "SPU" doesn't accomplish anything.
  13. I have Living Room and Living Fan working. Neither Living Light nor Living Ceiling works. I can't test further. The portal is no longer working.
  14. What can be done?
  15. I'm getting a message that the ISY is not on-line (no portal). When I select Configuration, Portals it states that Portal Integration is Online and Registered. Refresh does not help, neither from the ISY menu nor the portal menu.
  16. The motion sensor does not transmit continuously. The motion sensor transmits momentarily (twice) each time motion is sensed if "As motion is sensed" is checked and momentarily (twice) only after the time out if "As motion is sensed" is not checked and motion continues. Changing the time out duration has no effect on that function. Simply installing a filter is useless unless you have definitely shown the the item is the cause of communication difficulty. You can do that by unplugging or disconnecting the suspect item and observing the result. BTW, just turning something off is inadequate, it must be unplugged or disconnected.
  17. Portal Integration - MobiLinc Connect
  18. Minor success. I used SetThermostatSetpoint first, named the device (now called Heater) and requested 80º. Alexa asked "Which device?" then, "Which mode?" and finally replied "heater heating setpoint is now set to 80 degrees." The thermostat set point was set to 40º. I reset the thermostat to 75º and repeated the commands. Same result, the thermostat was set to 40º. Update: Me: "Tell Izzy to set heater heating to 80º." Alexa: "heater temperature is 75.50. It is set to heat at 304 degrees." Set point is unchanged.
  19. I tried a few commands (without SetThermostaSetpoint) and each time I got the local weather. When I used SetThermostaSetpoint, I got the weather in Augusta, Maine (the thermostat is called Main Weather). I'' try another name BTW, refreshing devices is a PITA. The last time Alexa asked if I want to wait 31 times (sometimes it takes only 4-5 waits).
  20. "Tell Izzy" or "Ask Izzy" can be shortened to just, "Izzy." The KPL load button On-level works today, although it didn't yesterday. The only thing that changed is the date. Still no success setting a thermostat even though I change the name from Main Thermostat to Main Weather. Alexa seems to recognize that it's a thermostat, the reply is always, "Set thermostat mode for which device?"
  21. That'd be nice, but a bush is preferred
  22. Alexa also uses a capital for Hanukkah (capital H).
  23. I named the Living Room thermostat, "Main Thermostat," because I used Living Room for the lights. My request was, "Alexa, tell Izzy to set the main thermostat to cool." Alexa heard, "tell izzy to set the name their respect to cool." Playing back my voice command clearly indicated that I spoke the correct words, not what Alexa heard. Even though what Alexa heard was not correct, it's response was, "Set thermostat mode for which device?" Neither "Main Thermostat" nor "Main" worked.
  24. You can add a second ISY to the existing portal. Select Portal Login instead of Go to my ISY. You'll need to contact the portal people for a price: http://vantagepnt.com/
