  1. Both these statements can't be true!
  2. You might want to double check the button settings. What you are observing is the result of non-Toggle Off.
  3. Is there a 2-wire cable at the 4-gang box that you didn't mention with the white wire connected to the bundle of white wires and the black wire connected to the black screw?
  4. Wired CCTV cameras plus a DVR will provide what you need. But any exposed camera can be disabled.
  5. Insteon now has a heat pump compatible thermostat.
  6. I have no options checked at all. Which momentary button are you holding?
  7. Any time a device controls one or more other devices, a scene is involved. A sensor by itself is not a scene, only if there's a responder to the sensor.
  8. Click on the KeypadLinc, select Buttons Toggle Mode.
  9. The Insteon camera is a misnomer. There is nothing Insteon about it except the name. It used to be called a Smarthome camera which makes more sense. Most cameras can be controlled using the Network Module and serial commands. I am not familiar with the necessary commands, but I've run across some info on this forum. An intense search of the forum may help. Virtually all IP cameras can be viewed from the ISY, but other software has more options. Any camera that can send an email can text you, look here
  10. Setting the lamp affects the on-level when you operate the lab controller manually. In the scene, set both the lamp and the sensor to 5%. Why do you have the 5 minute wait?
  11. Any IP camera I've used has the ability to send a text or email when motion is sensed. Virtually all can do that without the ISY. The ISY has a smaller mage that the cameras software does. The primary cost is the lens, but some cameras do have a better range. If you want/need to increase the range considerable, the you'll have to pay considerably more. Any test you do now depends on your routers capability, unless you have other WiFi transmitters that you can test. Even the camera will rely mostly on the router. If you find the range of the camera inadequate, then you can add a WiFi range extender.
  12. Most of my devices are red in the device tree, some are blue. In scenes controllers are bright red and responders are bright blue. As LeeG indicated, that's true for scenes even if the controller has no responders or the responder has no controllers.
  13. If the thermostat appears correctly with the ISY, but not on MobiLinc, then the problem is not the thermostat. The heat pump thermostat is somewhat new. You might want to notify Wes about your problem, he really takes time out to solve problems.
  14. SH already has third party development. The ISY for one, also the motion sensor, cameras, thermostats, Smartenit devices such as the EZFlora, even more.
  15. That's strange. Z-Wave devices have nothing to do with Insteon. The choices should be available for both programs and scenes even if there's no other device in the scene.
  16. smokegrub, are you viewing devices or scenes?
  17. These are some of the the available options:
  18. Prime gets you one day shipping. Even on Sunday via the USPS here
  19. A DVR is considerably less costly than an NVR. DVRs require CCTV cameras. I'm not making any recommendation, only mentioning another option. I actually use both CCTV and IP cameras.
  20. Is this what your thermostat icon looks like?
  21. Throw your high tech my way. In spite of some difficulties, the ISY is the best thing that happened to Insteon
  22. I'm not at all confused by the thermostat, only by your program. A simple On for the thermostat is not missing, it makes no sense. Because there are several settings that can be turned on, when you turn the thermostat on, you must specify if you want heat, cool or something else. That's true even if you turn the thermostat on manually. However, off is off, so you can set the thermostat to Mode Off. I'm not even sure how you created the program you have listed above. There is not an On option for the thermostat.
  23. Cold Control and Heat Control do not affect the thermostat at all. The thermostat is the controller for Cold Control and Heat Control. Then Cold Control and Heat Control become the controlllers for whatever you want to respond when you call for cool or heat. But I'm still confuse about, Set 'Automation / Music Room / Thermastat / Music Room - Main' On. There's Heat On, Cool On plus the others I mentioned, above. There is not an On without specifying what mode you want on.
  24. Although you can view IP cameras from the ISY, there is no particular advantage. In fact, the ISY image is somewhat smaller than viewing the camera using the software included with virtually all IP cameras or "universal" IP camera software. You also need to consider recording. It's best to use a DVR or separate computer due to the processing power needed to record.
  25. If From Sunset To 10:15:00PM (same day) And Control 'master bedroom sensor' is switched on Then - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
