  1. Try moving the Remotelinc somewhat distant from the PLM, but near a dual-band device. I had some RemoteLincs that needed to be about 40' away from the PLM before I could write to them. Once that's done, they work everywhere.
  2. Try initiating the test from a device in the office. Do any of the devices in the main building respond?
  3. Just using the ISY to exclude the thermostat won't work. The thermostat needs to be within 6 feet of the ISY. Set the ISY to exclude the thermostat, then follow the thermostat manual to exclude it.

The NEC permits that because it's low voltage. The thermostat is wall mountable and will run programs, even on battery power.
  5. Reasonable people don't have Crestron installed, wealthy people do.

The wireless thermostat uses 5VDC (USB power), so you don't need a power supply. Replace the nearest outlet with one that has a USB receptacle and run a USB cable from there to the thermostat. I equipped my thermostat with a USB connector. The thermostat will send signals to the ISY on battery power. A problem is if you view the thermostat when it's idle, then you won't see the current reading.
  7. I have several From... To... programs followed by And Control 'device' is switched On and they run anytime the device is switched on during the stated time interval, so that's not the problem. The problem is the unexpected on's. tibbar, next time the lights turn on during daylight, select Programs, Summary. Sort by Last Run Time to make it easier to find any and all programs that ran at that time.
  8. The latest Micro On/Off Module has a different method for running the beacon test than I described. Use the method as instructed in the Owner's Manual.
  9. While the On/Off Module is installed in the office, put a dual-band device in the main house in beacon mode (4 very, very rapid taps). The observe the On/Off Module. Does the LED blink at all?
  10. Dual-band devices include an indicator to determine is you've successfully bridged the opposite legs of the split, single-phase electric supply. Depending on the device and it's age, then Owner's Manual refers to the 4-tap or beacon test.
  11. FWIW, Crestron integrates with Somfy.
  12. Crestron HA has been around since the late 60s. It is propriety and is often found in upscale homes that do have HA. It's almost always professionally installed, that is, it's not meant for the DIYer.

Fortunately, you don't have a slate roof, too. Or do you?

If possible, use a wall vent. Less susceptible to leaks.
  15. Do the lights consistently come on when the lock is key or manually unlocked during daylight hours or is the problem, intermittent? What is the result if you unlock the lock remotely during daylight hours?
  16. Does the separate building get its electric from the same source as the main building, that is, from the same electric panel or sub-panel?

Then there's no problem using a FanLinc to control the speeds. BTW, Teken's concern is valid. Not just any fan will do, it has to have sufficient capacity for you needs.

Don't risk just buying a bathroom fan If you want different speeds, then select a multi-speed fan. Consult the Owner's manual to determine if it's FanLinc compatible. If you're not familiar with fans, post a list of candidates here.
  19. Well, at least be prepared. How many wires are at the current thermostat? What kind of heating/cooling do you have? How many stages of each?
  20. There's no way to determine the wiring from here. You're in the best place to determine that. Or a factory reset may suffice.
  21. Insteon RF is 915 MHz, so all your dual-band devices are suspect. But, in reality, devices transmit only when they're sending a signal, so if the Craftsman GDO is blinking constantly, then that's most likely where the problem originate. Unless you have a Z-Wave or Insteon device that's constantly transmitting.
  22. You need two programs to disable one. That's because once you disable a program it cease to run, it does continue to the end. Boathouse Entry Day Timer2 - [iD 0041][Parent 003D] If $sBoathouse_Entry_Day is 1 Then Set 'IO Relay' On Disable Program 'Boathouse Sensor Day2' <---the program stops at this point Wait 15 minutes $sBoathouse_Entry_Day = 0 Enable Program 'Boathouse Entry Day Timer2' Wait 10 minutes Set 'IO Relay' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boathouse Entry Day Timer2 - [iD 0041][Parent 003D] If $sBoathouse_Entry_Day is 1 Then Set 'IO Relay' On Run Program 'Boathouse Entry Day Timer3' (Then Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Boathouse Entry Day Timer3 If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Disable Program 'Boathouse Sensor Day2' Wait 15 minutes $sBoathouse_Entry_Day = 0 Enable Program 'Boathouse Entry Day Timer2' Wait 10 minutes Set 'IO Relay' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
  23. If you're going to replace the thermostat (with anything), it's probably best to do it way before winter arrives
  24. The ISY doesn't care what the date/time is on the thermostat. The ISY has its own clock. I understand that revision 5+ has date capabilities without necessitating a year. I don't have a weather module, but if you can assign the temperature to a variable, then you can use that variable in a program to control the Insteon thermostat.
  25. That the problem follows the location rules out a defective device. If you are certain that all devices are on the same circuit, then you can also rule out line noise. The only thing left is the load. Disconnect the load and try adding the In-LineLinc again. BTW, what is the load?
