"or" it is.

The way we act around here, a scene is appropriate, as in a play. It's a small group, more of a duet or is it dual-band

A group of links is a scene

I've created a monster
I actually enjoyed the trash TRS-80 until I got an IBM XT with 640 Kb RAM and a gigantic 20 Mb hard drive

Toddlers require constant effort. There's a button on the Echo that turns off the microphone. That needs to be done unseen, it takes only once for a toddler to catch on. I appreciate the music he likes. Wish I was there Talk about old, I was in high school when Bill Haley and his Comets recorded "Rock Around the Clock," the first rock and roll record that made the term popular.

I think we referred to it as the trash 80.

That's common behavior for a 3-4 year old. Also pressing KPL buttons, especially those in tabletop enclosures. On another note, 21 Pilots is an alternative rock group I listen to daily, especially, "(All my friends are) Heathens" from the Suicide Squad album

Keypad buttons are either on or off. Relay LEDs are either on or off no matter the load it's controlling. SwitchLinc dimmers show more LEDs as the level is increased. ToggleLinc dimmers have only one LED, so it's behavior may be different. I don't have any ToggleLincs to test.

Controlling lights in a detached garage with its own power meter
Any one of the Insteon Hubs will work, but they need to be the same model.

Insteon 3 Way switches, ISY and echo
Give the scene a spoken that you won't use. Add each device in the scene with spokens that you won't use plus the scene to the Alexa app. Create a group with the scene and each device as members. Name the group with the spoken that you do want to use. "Alexa. turn on the scene_name," will set the device to the levels you set in the scene. "Alexa, set the scene_name to x," where x is a percentage will set the devices to whatever percent you specified. You don't need to say the word "percent," but you can.

Two Hubs. You can have each on the same account, but you can be logged into one Hub at a time. I currently do this. Settings, House Management, Add a House. Once you add the second House, you can switch between them from this last menu. If you need programs, the you'll need two ISYs.

Problems with my ISY994i - Stopped Communicating
If you Restore a device, a restore operation is carried on all device that require it. That save you from having to do each device individually.

A KPL secondary button cannot be directly controlled. You must put the button in a scene (even if it's the only scene member) and control the scene.(i.e., add the button scene to the group).

isy portal subscription
I believe the one year extension was only for Beta testers. Any particular reason that you want to renew for only one year?

You can dim or brighten a scene in increments, 9% at a time. But, there's a more elegant solution. Create a group with all the devices and the scene, give the group a unique name and issue the command to the group, that is, "Alexa, set the group_name to 50%."

Sometimes it's necessary to do a Restore Devices more than once. The Basement Theater Lights device is disabled. Did you do that on purpose?

Photoelectric control of lighting scenes
Photocell relay connected to the sense terminals of an I/O Linc can trigger a program. Nothing sophisticated, just a simple solution.

Problems with my ISY994i - Stopped Communicating
Exactly the same changes that are written to wired devices--the old PLM Insteon ID is replaced with the new PLM ID. Battery powered devices go to sleep in order to conserve the battery. Putting them into linking mode wakes them up for about 4 minutes during which time the new data is written. The procedure is to place the device into linking mode, select Write Updates to Device and then take the device out of linking mode before updating the next battery powered device.

Cross Connected Devices
Yes, the link table should match exactly. Try Restore device followed by Write updates to Device. Then do another compare. If that doesn't work, then post back.

Battery powered devices need to be placed into linking mode ONE AT A TIME after you have restored everything else.

Thermostat Advice for ISY: Z-Wave? EcoBee3? Honeywell? Trane?
I'm unsure why you would want a thermostat to work with a lock. Also, a repeater probably needs more power than that supplied by an HVAC 24VAC transformer. OTOH, virtually any Z-Wave thermostat should function with the ISY.
