Thanks for the prompt response, but I was hoping I missed something and was able to do it through the ISY as I do with the On/Off modules.

Just installed 4 Lamplinc Dimmers in a Master Bedroom. They are plugged into a single power bar. The light emitting from the status LEDs is bothering my sleep. How do I dim the status LED on a Lamplinc using ISY? The On/Off modules have tabs to accomplish this but not the Lamplincs. Thanks PhanTomiZ

I may have misunderstood your questions. How about pasting your program and we'll see.

Hi, Insteon Micro Dimmer or Open/Close would work too. I use the motor control because I purchased it on ebay for $21 and I like having the option of using it for both if needed. PhanTomiZ

HI, I have gone through two insteon bulbs now. Both installed above the stove. Heat and humidity definitely the problem. About 1.5 years apart. Because I can't use an insteon switchlinc (Exhaust fan & light have hardwired rocker switches), I've opted to use a micro open/close motor control module (only because it was cheap, a flexible alternative and I didn't need dimming functions). It tucks away nicely with the fan wiring connections (box). Now I can install that 25W, 50W or 100W equivalent $1 LED bulb with no worries of ever replacing a $25 smart bulb two or more times. I'm not a wizard, but I try and start with easiest and simplest way as I tweek it into more complicated iterations. I use two seperate programs to accomplish getting rid of excess humidity in my basement bathroom. Program 1 If humidity >50% and temperature >50° Turn on the dehumidifier Program 2 If humidity <46% Turn off dehumidifier PhanTomiZ

I have 2 I/O links. One for garage and one that resets my computer when it locks up. I use 2 programs to automatically close my garage door. This is not a popular solution by most here on this forum, but it works best for me. 1 for night and 1 for day. Identical programs, except for the time to close is different. I use a couple of so called safeties. Use motion detection, 30 second beeping alarm before the door closes and flashing of the lights. Oh yea, texts to all involved when the door fails to close (object has fallen and in the way) My original problem was having the garage door open all night because some family member forgot to close it before retiring to bed. BTW, I may have been of those members too. Also, very reliable in keeping the door closed. Sometimes, too reliable. PhanTomiZ

I'm away for the season and this is the first time this has happened. Unfortunately it happened while away. Just checked and still good after my reboot 2 days ago. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the input. Merry Christmas and Happy New year. PhanTomiZ

Thanks for the info. ISY has been very reliable and can count on one hand how many times I've cycled power not realizing the reboot function. Merry Christmas PhanTomiZ

Found the reboot option under my nose. Did a remote reboot. Now the time is good. Still would like to know what to errors mean.

Hello, ISY has been not quite right with devices going on and off at wrong times of the day and night. I am not home at the moment. I decided to check the ISY system clock and sure enough it's off by 1 day and several hours. Everytime I try to synchronize the time, manually set time or set date, I get the above error and it won't set. Anyone know what this error means? Also is there a way to restart the ISY remotely? Thanks in advance PhanTomiZ

Good tech support and great return policy. Prices are not as impressive. Location for me is perfect. I had to return a zwave smart switch twice. No questions asked on the return of both within a week apart.

I've been using these with much success and 6 sensors to boot!

Thanks I'll look at it.

Darn, just noticed that. I put it in my cart and was going to look at it tomorrow. Not the wireless version.

Thanks for the Amazon tip...

Hi, Was looking online and trying to get ready for Black Friday. It looks like Smarthome is not selling the wireless version of the thermostat. Has it been discontinued??? PhanTomiZ

Hi, This is what all my Triggerlinc/Open/Closed sensors look like in the Admin Console. The Closed nodes do nothing, AFAIK. All my programs/scenes are triggered off the Open node (the only one that changes state other than the Heartbeat). Logic has to follow the Opened node. If the door is not opened then it must be closed. If I'm wrong and then I haven't figured it out yet, then maybe someone can chime in. PhanTomiZ P.S. the nodes that are blank other than the Closed nodes show blank because they have yet to be triggered after an ISY reboot. As you can see below, there are two devices that have yet to be triggered. FYI...Furnace RM Door is an Triggerlinc that has no heartbeat. 1. Utility Power Resumed 2. Front Door Sensor (this one is sitting on my shelf in which I've linked it to the ISY, but have yet to install it so it hasn't been triggered...

This is what I use to update one of my leak sensors. It is buried deep and not easily accessed. Leak Sensor Dishwasher Write Updates If Control 'Furnace RM / Devices (8) / Leak Sensor DishWasher-Dry' is switched On Or Control 'Furnace RM / Devices (8) / Leak Sensor DishWasher-Dry' is switched Off Or Control 'Furnace RM / Devices (8) / Leak Sensor DishWasher-Dry / Leak Sensor DishWasher-HB' is switched On Or Control 'Furnace RM / Devices (8) / Leak Sensor DishWasher-Dry / Leak Sensor DishWasher-HB' is switched Off Or Control 'Furnace RM / Devices (8) / Leak Sensor DishWasher-Dry / Wet - Leak Sensor DishWasher' is switched On Or Control 'Furnace RM / Devices (8) / Leak Sensor DishWasher-Dry / Wet - Leak Sensor DishWasher' is switched Off Then Wait 2 seconds Set 'Furnace RM / Devices (8) / Leak Sensor DishWasher-Dry' Write Device Updates Send Notification to 'Default' content 'Default Subject' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') One of those conditions usually gets the device updated. If by chance updating doesn't fix it, then it should be disabled. I've set up my Open/Close sensors to a state variable. When I want to use my Open/Close sensors in a program, I will use the Open/Close sensor OR the Variable. That way, the ISY has a last known state until it gets triggered once again. (Also good for when the ISY reboots which doesn't happen very often) Side Door - Variable setup If Status 'Kitchen / Devices / Side Door Sensor-Opened' is On Or Control 'Kitchen / Devices / Side Door Sensor-Opened' is switched On Then $O.C._Door_Side_Door_Opened = 1 $O.C._Door_Side_Door_Opened Init To 1 Else $O.C._Door_Side_Door_Opened = 0 $O.C._Door_Side_Door_Opened Init To 0 Side Door Program: 1Side Door Scene Status Correction - If ( Control '1 Mini Remote Lincs / Mini Remote #2- A' is switched Off Or Control 'Dining RM / Devices / Dining RM KPL Lite- / Dining RM KPL-Side Lock - D' is switched Off Or Status 'Kitchen / Devices / Kwikset Side Door Lock ZW 007' is Locked ) And ( Status 'Kitchen / Devices / Side Door Sensor-Opened' is On Or $O.C._Door_Side_Door_Opened is 1 ) Then Run Program '1 Side Door Force Unlock' (Then Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') The ISY should always have a current status of the Open/Close sensor until the next trigger. In your case, now you can easily disable your HDS and you can set the variable for the HDS to say it is closed. Now you don't have to run down and make changes to multiple programs that have the HDS as a condition. Once you shim the device, you can enable it without the program changes throughout. PhanTomiZ

I may be misunderstanding the question, but the Admin Console has a "Variables" tab. This tab is real time. If you increment/decrement your counter values in your programs, then they will show up in the "Variables" tab in real time. PhanTomiZ

Hi, Quickly, I can think of two ways. 1. X10 Addressable 12 VDC wall wort. I use one of these to light up a decorative 3 VDC picture frame. Use a simple voltage divider cct. to get it down to operating voltage. These work relatively well. I had these from an old X10 camera system that I sold. Should be able to pick them up cheap. http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/XM14A https://www.ebay.com/p/X10-Remote-Controlled-Power-Supply-Model-XM13A/704606892 2. Instead of using the I/0 Linc, use an On/Off Module and your 12 VDC wall wort. I like to keep backup devices in which I use most often. On/Off modules can easily be used for more applications than spare I/O Lincs. They may also be cheaper too. Instead of using an I/O Linc for my water shut off system, I use On/Off Modules and 120VAC valves. Again, On/Off modules are almost always my goto devices... PhanTomiZ

Hi, AArtech is a great place to deal with. Prices are high, returns are painless and tech support is very good. 1. X10 is compatible regardless of whether you have the programming module or not. The module allows you to defines each X10 device. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-994i_Series_INSTEON:Enhanced_A10/X10 2. Yes. 3. Not sure, don't have this. PhanTomiZ

dbuss, Unfortunately, if you want the ISY to notify you of power failure/loss, it will have to be on a UPS. I have a small UPS. Both my DSL modem and ISY are fed from it, but not the PLM. With that I'm able to do a variety of power loss notifications from either a Z-Wave device (Aeotec Smart Switch) or from the UPS itself. Using the the Z-Wave Smart Switch device can report Voltage, Current, Power and more. All it takes is a small program and voila, you have power loss notification. My Cyberpower UPS has the ability to send emails when power is lost or interrupted. This is by far the easiest way. I'm also able to use my IP cameras/Blue Iris to notify me of power loss. The cameras will individually send me a message after the fact too (when power has been restored). PhanTomiZ
