Hello, I have camera recording software running on my Windows 10 based computer. It needs to be on 24 hours. A problem I've been having lately is my computer locks up (every 2 weeks or so) and my camera software stops recording. What I'd like to accomplish when my computer is locked up is to have my computer automatically reset using my ISY and notify me of this. I currently have my remote computer restart working with an I/O linc that I had as a spare. The wires from the I/O linc feed into my computer's power switch. When the I/O linc is activated it turns off my computer, waits a predetermined time and then starts it again all using this program: 1 Computer Has Been Reset Now Live - [iD 002E][Parent 0001] If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Set 'Computer RM / Devices / Computer (Sense) RESET / Computer (Relay) RESET' On Wait 7 seconds Set 'Computer RM / Devices / Computer (Sense) RESET / Computer (Relay) RESET' Fast Off Wait 15 seconds Set 'Computer RM / Devices / Computer (Sense) RESET / Computer (Relay) RESET' On Wait 1 second Set 'Computer RM / Devices / Computer (Sense) RESET / Computer (Relay) RESET' Fast Off Send Notification to 'Default' content 'Default Subject' Send Notification to 'Text Message' content 'Default Text Message' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') My challenge is, how do I create a Heartbeat program for my Windows computer and monitor it using my ISY? Is this possible? Any ideas would be appreciated... PhanTomiZ

Hi Is this device insteon or zwave? Thanks

Hi, I'm east of Toronto, Whitby. I used the "locate me" which I believe finds my ISP which is in Oshawa. I'm also showing 9:00:57 as today's sunset. Never really paid any attention to whether it was correct or not. I used the "locate me" because I couldn't get Whitby and I didn't think Toronto was an option or at least it may not have been an option when I installed my ISY. I just changed my location to Toronto and as you'd expect, no change to sunset time. I just checked your "location" being Owen Sound and you are 2 1/2 hours north west of me. I believe it would correct your sunrise/sunset times if you use your Lat/Long position as larryllix says... PhanTomiZ

Hi, Made a few small changes before going to bed...Got rid of the "is not Off" and only needed to keep the "<=100%". That should cover all scenarios. I replaced the Status with Control and saw no difference. Why would you suggest "Control"? Thanks for the different angle. PhanTomiZ

First off...Many thanks for the "init to" function. I started keeping track of my furnace/air conditioner and dehumidifier cycles and cycle times, but after I updated to the next firmware version, I lost it all. This should protect these numbers from disappearing right? Just setup a quick program. Here is what my program looks like. Would you do it any different? Just seems like a repetition of many lines... I was just thinking about a program to count the amount of button presses before needing a charge. You think 5000 presses would be enough before sending an email notification to charge the unit?

Hi, I know this isn't about the wireless tstat, but I have a Remotelinc 2 keypad 4 scene that I'd like to monitor the battery. My wife went to use it yesterday; she was frustrated that it didn't work so she unplugged my lamp module and plugged the light into the wall. . This is a first with my Insteon products. She used to do this when I used X10. Never knew why my appliances and lights weren't working, only to find the modules unplugged and sitting on the floor. Anyhow, do you have such a program to check battery status of a Remotelinc 2 keypad? Thanks PhaTomiZ
-
Thanks for the prompt response. When I do this, it brings me from "program details" to "program summary". I can see "activity" which gives me the running status all programs, but I was wanting to see the advanced function of each program icon so I can view it as either solid green/red or partial green/red under the details tab. I find it easier to view the program as a color to know if it is running then, running else, ran then or ran else. Hope this makes sense. Internet is not very reliable, but Admin console seems to be working as it does at home except for the program color status. PhanTomiZ

Hi, I know the answer is somewhere in the forums, but my internet access is dismal. Not so dismal that the admin console is working remotely. I would like to see the actual program status (red or green), to see the status of my programs. How do I set this? I believe when I'm local I was able to set this by right mouse clicking on the program and going to advance, but I cannot do this. Will this work remotely? Thanks PhanTomiZ
-
Yep, found that. Just thought there would be a more detailed definitions of each code... Thanks
-
How does one decipher this? Plain English would be nice, but a definitions Wiki would work too...Thanks...
-
How about a full description Wiki for the event viewer in order to decipher the code? Is there one? Thanks PhanTomiZ
-
So does this mean I won't be able to use a scene, but rather a program to shut the water off in the event of a flood/leak detected?
-
LeeG, Where do I find the Wiki that describes all the codes of the event viewer? I thought I saw it somewhere, but I can't find it when I need it. Terrible thing this getting old..... Anyway, here is the event viewer...Can you tell me what it means? All three of my leak sensors are (v.41). Noticed that if: I tap once, I get a DON 1 I tap again, I get a DON 2 But if I tap once, I get a DON 1 If I leave it for about 5 seconds, I get a DON 4

Haven't done much all summer with my ISY and I can't believe I'm this rusty... I've created a scene with an On/Off module (closing and opening my N/O main water shutoff valve) and a leak sensor-wet. Added the leak sensor as a controller and the On/Off module as a responder. When I hit the set button once on the leak sensor, it sets the leak sensor as wet-on and the On/Off module goes on. When I hit the set button again on the leak sensor, it sets the leak sensor as wet-off but the On/Off module stays on. I would like for the On/Off module to follow the leak sensor wet conditions. I know I can do this using a program, but was hoping I could do it with a scene... What did I do wrong? Thanks once again in advance PhanTomiZ

Wow!!!! Never even thought about freezing temperatures which would be a real headache. I'm glad I put out this inquiry and received many great responses and ideas. I will now add to my program list a "Freezing Alert" program and send notifications if my temp reaches 50 degrees.... Thanks again....

I'm in Southern Ontario, just east of Toronto. And yea, plenty of humidity on the north shore of Lake Ontario. My A/C is usually up to the task of getting rid of all that humidity, but if the set point is set too low, then the compressor will not cycle and will run all day. If what I plan works, it should keep the temperature set point high enough during the day and also get rid of humidity, while at night I can drop the set point to a level to keep me sleeping...

Teken....As far as the human factor I believe my Insteon TStat can take care of that by using below... Sub- mode 07: Button lock (disables front button presses, OFF default) o For high-traffic common area locations, such as a business lobby. a. Up arrow = ON b. Down arrow = OFF • Sub- mode 08: Programming lock (locks out Set button programming operations, OFF default) a. Up arrow = ON b. Down arrow = OFF To try and make everyone happy will be a trial and error thing. Only have 2 complainers and 1 couldn't care less as he's a cave dweller and will add a sweater if he's cold...

You would think that would be good enough...Who knows, maybe? Then I would need the weather module, right? Anyhow, the idea that got this started was I wanted to fine tune my families air conditioner use. Some too cold, some too hot. If I could keep the temperature 3 degrees C less than the outside temperature, that would make all happy. Somehow it works now manually. When I get home from work the temperature has been changed by some family member and the differential seems to be around 3 C. This works when it is between 28 and 32, but for 32 and above, I will use 5 to 8. It's amazing how cool 30 C indoors is when it is 38 C outside with humidity... Thanks for the idea

I'm not interested in winter temperatures only summer with a range of 50 to 90 F or 10 to 35 C. Insteon TStats are almost the same price as the Aeon device, but I think I will go with the latter.... Only thing I don't like about the Aeon device is the need for CR123 batteries which can be more expensive and not usually a normal purchase for me... Thanks
-
This was the first I found on their website. Website says now accepting pre-orders, so I thought it was not yet available...

HI, I'm looking for a cheap Insteon device preferably or a Z-Wave device that will report outside temperature back to the ISY. Of course it would have to be an outdoor device. I want to be able to adjust the temperature of my Insteon thermostat through a program depending on the outside temperature. Thanks PhanTomiZ
-
Can you post your modified version so we can have a look?

Unfortunately I had a similar issue. When I was using HouseLinc software and my wired and wireless Tstats, I couldn't get the temperature offset to work correctly while in Metric mode. I tried for a few hours to get it to work as I thought it should, but never did. I succumbed to the (use Fahrenheit or return the device for refund). I use Fahrenheit now with my ISY and haven't had a problem. Ideally, I would like Metric as that is what my mind defaults to, but I can go both ways
