I have been using Locative (IOS) for a week or so and I have not noticed any change in the battery life of my iPhone 6+. I could not get geo-fencing to work with a direct ISY connection.

Hi Bob, When you are running a direct connection to ISY through DynDNS, are you just using the geo-fence notification on your phone, or do you actually have your ISY performing an action based on the geofence variable? I tried direct connection to the ISY and while my phone notifies me of the geo-fence changes, the ISY variable is not updated. Thanks, Tim

Thank you for the reply Michel, Perhaps I didn't understand the context of your reply to Drexx3 that I quote. His issue was geo-fencing worked with direct ISY connection but not with the ISY portal. I'll use the wiki solution or just stay with a direct connection to keep geo-fencing. Regards, Tim

Reading this thread and the Wiki regarding GeoFencing there seems to be a some contradiction. The Wiki says that GeoFencing on Mobilinc will not work with the ISY Portal. But this thread suggests that maybe it should. I have my Mobilinc direct connected to ISY and GeoFencing works correctly. Does anyone know for sure? I thinking of switching the ISY Portal, getting tired of asking Alexa to tell Mobilinc.... I don't use the Notifications but the GeoFencing is a great feature. Thank you, Tim

Actually I don't see the Mobilinc Portal listed on the About screen. It is listed under Purchased Modules as Active. Update: Fixed on the UD end, all set now thanks.

Hi, Sales very quickly removed the ISP Portal from my ISY. I ran the manage modules and have rebooted the system a couple of times but Mobilinc Connect will not reconnect to ISY. Is there something else I need to do to restore the Mobilinc portal? Thanks, Tim

I just purchased the ISY Portal today, planning to move away from Mobilinc Connect (IOS) as I purchased an Echo today. I configured it without an issue then went to the Mobilinc forum looking for help on configuring Mobilinc to work with the portal. Instead I find an announcement that Mobilinc now works with Echo! I cannot keep up! Can I switch back to Mobilinc Connect portal. Too bad I didn't know this before I burned $50 on a new portal.... Thanks, Tim

I'm also considering an Echo and am currently using Mobilinc Connect. When you said you lose push notifications, do mean notifications generated by the Mobilinc App, for example the Geofence notifications? What other features are lost? Thanks, Tim

I just got home to find the vast majority of my lights and and both garage doors open. Very unsettling to say the least. I have had many Insteon devices in use for years with other controllers and never had this problem. Then I find this thread where Blackbird had a similar problem today. Does the "All On" command also trigger I/O Link devices?

Upgrading to 4.2.30 solved the problem. Thank you very much for your help!

The only dual band device currently connected to the ISY is the PLM itself. The MS is about 6ft away from the PLM. Since I can read the motion, dawn/dusk and battery status I figure i was close enough. The HouseLinc is also connect via a USB PLM. I have many dual band devices in my house but I haven't linked any of them to the ISY yet. I was starting small just to get the feel of the ISY.

I just purchased an ISY994i IR PRO to replace a Cortexa (and some HouseLinc) automation controller. So I'm new to ISY but not home automation. I have a new motion sensor that I bought and have linked it to the ISY, it's the only device linked. I factory reset the sensor prior to linking and it is working correctly reporting both motion, dawn/dusk and battery(off) to the ISY. The problem comes when I try to modify the option settings. I set the led flashing on the MS then click the options button and I get an error message "Request Failed". Once the Option screen is open I click the query button but get the same error message. I linked it to my Houselinc software just to make sure the MS is working. From the Houselinc I was able to set to the options. So I think the MS is OK. Any suggestions? Thank you.
