Hello @io_guy I have Nodelink running on Pi4 running buster. Has been working great feeding ISY994 v5.3.4 I am migrating to Polisy/ISY. But during the migration process I want to feed both ISY's Nodelink. Can I run two instances of Nodelink from the same pi4? Is it as simple as duplicating the nodelink, changing the folder name and updating the config file and running at startup? I am running DSCLink along with WCLinks. I upgraded the panel to use the evisalink network module, so I will have to turn on the repeater in one of the DSCLink's. Are there any other obstacles or gotchas I might encounter? Hi @johnstonf, I may be missing something but why can't you use a program with the reverse logic and fire the program with google? I use Alexa and can run programs true/false by saying turn on/off the program name or spoken. Or maybe google doesn't operate the same?

@Michel KohanimI felt the same way but here we are only 8 hours and 2 full pages later! I am with @LarryCRetiredexcept I unfollowed about 15 pages ago. I stayed connected because I use this forum to learn all things ISY and I was afraid I might miss something important. Boy was I wrong. I could have disconnected after page one and not missed a thing. This is the exact situation that makes following other important posts difficult to follow along, or find the one item your looking for. Like a needle in a haystack. Isn't the Coffee Shop section where all the opinionated posts belong (Including all the non ISY, bloated, egotistical rants)?

@AAdsit Pehaps something to consider regarding your program. If the switch was pressed to turn the fan on, the program would be running true until it turns off the fan. However if the ISY for some reason rebooted during that time the program will be false after reboot so the fan would not turn off until you intervened. Same result if the fan somehow turned on without the switch being presses, for instance if it were turned on via an app on your phone or even through the admin console. If you were to use "Status" instead of "Switched" then anytime the fan was on the program would run true and turn off the fan. If the ISY reboots while the program is true, you will need another trigger in the condition of the program to retrigger the program once reboot s complete. oOr you can enable "Run at startup" as well.

I have Polisy, on v5.0.4, has been running for 3 days or so. Have 8 poly nodes onboard and am feeding nodelink to the onboard ISY from rpi4. I went to open Poly and it wouldn't open. Upgrade went great. All poly nodes (from Polisy) and nodelink (from rpi4) working great with ISY (in Polisy). Thank you UDI team! Tim

Having trouble with upgrade. After upgrade and reboot restarting udx is fine but when restarting ISY I see: [admin@polisy ~]$ sudo service isy restart Stopping isy. 15 1 0xffffffff81d63000 8320 uftdi.ko uftdi.ko is already loaded Starting isy. [admin@polisy ~]$ Admin console opens great on lan and cloud. But I have lost the portal tab. Gui and ISY both report v5.0.3 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, -Tim

Before the update to v1.3.0 (I think I was on v1.2.0) the admin console had Node Server listed (File Link Management Node server Tools Help) but Node Server is now missing. Also in Configuration / Portal is missing. Ever since I received Polisy I have been unable to enter the correct credentials into Polyglot to access ISY. Address: 192.168.0.27 (address of Polisy) Port: 80 user name: admin Password: admin Use HTTPS is unchecked If I enter the info for polyglot running on my Rpi4 it works fine and I see all the node servers in the dashboard but when I put the config back to the ISY in Polisy I get the red banner: ISY automatically discovered at http://192.168.0.27:80 however the username and password need to be set in the settings menu. Can anyone verify they see the same thing, or is it just me? Thanks! Tim edit: Using ISY finder and selecting Cloud. When I select LAN nothing happens. If I try to use a browser at https://192.168.0.27:8443/admin.jnlp I get an Unable to Launch the Application ! window. Thanks again.

Question for @MrBill and @lilyoyo, I am running Poly on rpi4 version 2.2.10 and this version does have backup and restore. Do you think this version of a backup will be compatible with Polisy? If so couldn't the op upgrade to this version?

I am running the node server now but back in the day someone had posted on here, but I can't seem to find it now, their NR. I still had 2 of them on my ISY. Here is the command that worked for me, at least back then. I am unable to try it now as these two switches have been deleted. These were copied right from the NR. This was to turn on: 0;0;0;42;208;242;129;248;139;255;154;247;213;239;148;182;197;160;212;139;249;156;240;145;232;183;196;176;209;165;192;226;216;163;129;242;134;231;147;246;212;238;223;162;223;162 This was to turn off: 0;0;0;42;208;242;129;248;139;255;154;247;213;239;148;182;197;160;212;139;249;156;240;145;232;183;196;176;209;165;192;226;216;163;129;242;134;231;147;246;212;238;222;163;222;163 I was pretty impressed also with the speed they switched at when using the NR. They are still very responsive when using the node server. Not sure if any f/w updates to the devices have broken them from working the same or not, I hope these work for you. -Tim

It has been my experience that this is not possible. When adding other devices they will turn on and off when you instruct Alex to turn on the light. If I am wrong though I would love to find the answer. I have tried quite a few times with no success. Tim

Without the "or" parentheses would not Switch 1 and switch 2 and switch 3 have to be pressed at the same time for the program to run true?

It seems to me the first program should be as such. I don't have time to do this in the admin console but I hope this helps to make more sense. Go to the Variable tabs section of the admin console and select the State tab. Click add at the bottom of the page and name the new state variable "manual override" and then press save. Go to the program tab and create a new program and format the switches that you want to override the ms and format them similar to below. If Or ( Switch 1 is (Control) switched on And Switch 1 is (Control) not switched off ) Or ( Switch 2 is (Control) switched on And Switch 2 is (Control) not switched off ) Or ( Switch 3 is (Control) switched on And Switch 3 (Control) not switched off ) Then manual override = 1 Else manual override = 0

Every time I run a back up now it always ends with an error message "Could Not Retrieve File /CONF/NODES/UN0472.BIN" The power was suddenly interrupted yesterday after noon. Previous to this backups always succeeded. ISY994 on v5.3.0 How should I proceed? Thanks, Tim

I am running Polyglot and Nodelink on a Rpi4 with ISY994 Ir/Pro with v5.3.0 If Query at startup is checked in the config of the AC does the ISY query Poly and Nodelink? If so what order is the query, Insteon first then either Poly or Nodelink? I do notice that if the Rpi4 is not running when the ISY is rebooted the ISY start up takes forever but with Rpi running first then ISY rebooted start up is a lot quicker. For those of you running Rpi and ISY what is your method of reboot after a power failure. Do you have your Rpi boot up first then ISY or concurrently? Do you have the Query at startup selected or do you have a program that runs after reboot to do the query? -Tim

@lilyoyo1 I am seeing exactly what @DaveStLou is seeing. I noticed that in your pastes that it specifies Google Home Category, whereas ours say Alexa Category. Could it be that Alexa does not support this function?

Hello kewashi@ Question, when ISY hub is done being authorized it does not seem to pull scenes and variables. Is this normal? I see all devices and programs. Thanks so much for your work on this. -Tim

Hello @kewashi, In playing around I have accidently authorized the ISY Hub 3 times, How can I delete all hub database and start over? Also how can I change the location of where the log is kept? How is the easiest to perform a backup and restore in the event of a fresh OS install and to not loose the current setup? Thanks, Tim

I can confirm I am seeing the same thing as @zerop when I duplicated his condition of the program using Openweathermap and WeatherPoly, I don't have Darksky. The following program runs true even though OpenWeatherMap shows 0 rain todayl AA Weather Test - [ID 004C][Parent 0254] If 'PolyGlot / OpenWeather / OpenWeatherMap' Rain Today >= 0.400 Inches And 'PolyGlot / OpenWeather / OpenWeatherMap' Rain Today < 0.550 Inches Then - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Changing the first statement to lower numbers always ran true, I tried 5 different numbers, always ran true. I found once the first statement hit .5 the program ran false. I tried this also on WeatherPoly with interesting results. I had this up and running in less than 30 minutes on a pi3 running Buster lite which I thought was the newest version for pi3 but it is running some old versions of node v10.15.2 and npm v5.8.0 and threw some warnings during install and use. But in any case House Panel seems to be running fine! I've only set up a couple of switches and lights but so far it is pretty easy to operate and set up. I am excited to spend a little more time playing with it. Big thumbs up to @kewashi and thanks for this program and the videos which made set up far easier! Tim

If you take one of the programs that currently run false and change only the values in the condition to equal the program that runs true, does that program now run true as well?

Hi io_guy, Two thumbs up! Out of all the upgrades to all the other apps and programs I have ever installed this was the easiest and with no issues what so ever. It worked right out of the gate! You have made it so easy with your script. Everything populates quickly and with no errors. Thank You!!! Two questions. First I moved the "node" file from home>pi to another folder I have all other data in for ease of copying for backups. Do you see any issue with moving the folder to a new location? Other than having to change the location in rc.local? Second, I had old Nodelink started as a service and would like to do the same with the new version. With mono ExecStart=/usr/bin/mono / was used in the service to start nodelink, what would I need to change the file locations to for dotnet? Thanks for all of you work and help! Tim
