Well unfortunately even after rolling back to 5.0.16c I am still having status issues with my Schlage. I tried factory resetting, excluding & adding back. I did get an error when I first rolled back and it seems related to the Schlage lock. Possibly because I had to exclude & include and maybe it had old info. One of the few things I have that I really want to be consistent and it just is not happening. I know this is not the right thread but I had some posts about 5.3.2 with similar issues. The only thing I have not done yet is factory reset the new dongle. Any thoughts if that will make a difference? Really not a big deal with only 2 devices. Thanks..

Yes.. I did a restore ISY with a backup from 5.0.16c and it stayed on 5.3.2. I then read some posts saying that the backups don't actually contain the FW and only devices, programs, settings and the like. Have had ISY for over 5 years and never downgraded or thought about it until now. I only have 2 Z-wave devices and my lock is no longer working sufficiently since I sent to 5.3.2 and unusable. That is why I want to go back on top of errors I got after installing (can see in a previous post in this thread)

Ok.. I asked because I just tried and it did not downgrade to a good 5.0.16c backup and saw something about goin backwards on FW you have to start from scratch & build back to the one you want. Not sure why it didn't work for me then. Thanks..

Is it correct that the only way to downgrade FW is by factory resetting the ISY & installing an earlier version from backup? Could you go right to the last FW you want? This is the first upgrade I have had issues over many years and want to downgrade to get functionality back. Thanks!

Thanks again.. Not sure if you know but do you think with the new board and 5.0.16 there would be any compatibility? Just trying to see if it is worth downgrading only to 5.0.16 and leave the new board and try from there.

Thanks for that.. I only have 2 zwave devices.. My Schlage Lock and my Dome water valve. The water valve is working fine and I never had to do anything to it. I have factory rest my Schlage a few times now with varied results where it looked good but still hit or miss on status updates. I have not factory reset the 500 board. I only did the upgrade path with backing up & restoring. Initially it looked ok but had the status issues with Schlage. I did have some random issues before but this is significantly worse it seems. Did you factory reset the 500 board?

Great.. do you know if there any locks that are working well? Back on 5.3.0 and Schlage is still struggling with proper status. I do not have the Yale yet. It is not a distance issue.. I am 20ft with a clear line of sight from my ISY to my lock.

I contemplated it.. my concern is how busy they are and don't want to bog them down with this. I'm going to try a Yale lock and I'll wait until 5.3.2 is refined. I'm thinking I won't be the only one with the error hopefully so it will get sorted out in the refinements. If the error is still there when it is official I'll open a ticket. Thanks..

I went ahead and tried to upgrade to 5.3.2 in hope of sorting my Schlage lock status issues and got this after I logged back in. Any thoughts what to check? EDIT: Schlage coming up with unknown status now so didn't seem to help there either. It was at least working somewhat in 5.3.0 after a lot of work. Going to drop back to 5.3.0 for now. Never had errors like this in my past upgrades up to 5.3.0.

Were you having status update issues before this with your Schlage locks?

I have the same question. Initially my Schlage lock seemed ok but the status updates are flaky and unreliable. I have done a remove & add along with a factory reset and got some strange stuff including a bunch of new nodes I never had and communications issues. If I move the lock to another folder I get a synchronize icon that does not go away. It seems to be ok if I leave it at top level. After 2 days of frustrations removing, factory resetting and adding back in I am back to square 1 with flaky status updates but at least it seems to be communicating with flaky status updated although not sure for how long. At this point I'm wondering if it is worth moving to a Yale. I really don't want to just for the cost alone as my Schlage is not that old and really not looking to replace it but this is getting frustrating. I have to reset all my programs every time which is not that big of a deal but with the issues removing & adding back in not going well and several times it gets tiring :). So do we need to purchase new Z-Wave hardware on top of the upgraded 500 board? Never had these before:

Very sorry things are not working out for you Tom. I know how frustrating it can be with the amount of time spent. Maybe in time there will be some answers and future updates might resolve so you can take advantage of the latest. I wish I had more insight to Z-Wave to help. With only 2 devices I have not spent much time there and trying to help with what my experience was with the upgrade. Wishing the best on future expansion & upgrades. So it worked with 5.3.0 and the 500 board if it were right next to the device? I see you reversed to a 5.1 release & 300 but what has been your upgrade path to that point? Meaning.. what release were you on last with all working with 300. Something seems odd with your specific environment maybe. You used 2X 500 boards? Did you purchase another because you thought the 1st was not ok? I don't know specifics on the board differences but I wonder if something is conflicting in your environment from the 300 to the 500. Not sure how best to isolate but I wonder if the setup was a new config from scratch what your experience might be. I know you have already seem to be fed up so not sure if you are still willing to sort out. So far I have not seen any change good or bad moving to the 500 & 5.3.0 but I have not added or changed anything since and only have 2x z-wave devices. One is about 20 ft. from my ISY (front door lock) and the other in my basement water shut off and they both work fine still. No repeaters or extenders.

So this is for 5.2.0 - Can't say for 5.3.0 so use carefully. I would upgrade to 500 personally to avoid any issues and have the latest anyway.

I saw a post where someone did but need to search for it. I recall all was ok. But the instructions do say to upgrade the 500 first so there must be a reason. I also recall that upgrading from 5.0.16C only benefits Z-Wave so if you don't have any it is really not necessary?

Unfortunately not much .. high contrast is a little better (the lighter one). My age is not helping my eye sight these days.. . If these are my only options high contrast could make due. Bolder/black would be best I think in any of them.

I did a search and other than themes and font size I'm coming up empty handed. Maybe it is the way I'm searching? So my thing is the color of the folder expansion arrow is so lightly colored it is hard to see in the admin panel. Does anyone else have this or know if it can be changed? I feel like it is something simple but have not found it yet and didn't want to bother here but I'm hitting a dead end. Attaching my view in case it is only me. Thanks..
