I have two boys; 2 year old and a 4 year old, the four year old likes to climb up on a chair that he has pulled over to the keypadlinc and make my whole house (1400 sq foot home with 26 devices), go on, then off, then on, then off, then on, then off, the neighbors must wonder about us at times. And the two year old will just giggle and giggle. I know its just a matter of time before they both are at each end of the house playing lighting wars.

Bug: Login asks for password more than once
Mark Sanctuary replied to Mark Sanctuary's topic in ISY994
I don't recall seeing this before the beta but who knows it could have been there for a while. It does not seem to do it until I reboot. It must need a fresh web browser to trigger this. -
I am getting asked for the password more than one time. Before the user gets the frist password window nothing shows in the ISY window except for "! Network". Then after you ok the first password all folders show but still have the ! in front of them. Finally after clicking this second password box it finishes logging in to the ISY. I think it is reproducible if you restart your computer then try to startup the ISY. I am using Internet Explorer, and the latest Java install.

Great! The time stamps each day should be different showing the random part is working. The sunset one will be nice because the sunset is always changing and with it random it will be more natural. Hard part is on the days it’s cloudy you can be left in the dark and will have to do the unthinkable and push a button. Can you do a favor for me; edit your first post a put the two programs in code boxes, makes it easier to read. Thanks.

Yep that is a good example of how to used the random feature. Do they function ok?

I broght this over from another post. Consistent colors across the board. Consistent naming everywhere in the design. Like this? Controller Controlsponder Responder Responder ISY Local Scene Scene ISY Local -
Ok I will go with that. Consistent colors across the board. Consistent naming everywhere in the design. Like this? Controller Controlsponder Responder Responder ISY Local Scene Scene ISY Local

The Finally is going to be removed it looks like in the next beta drop. Look at the post Fixes in next beta drop.

I have not...nock on wood...I have all my original devices as listed in my signature below. The only issue I have ever had and still have is the dimmer flicker when Insteon signals are going over the line.
-
Are you talking about the non-load buttons on keypadlincs, controllincs, remotelincs, should be red? Those would be helpful if they where colored red that would be more helpful that is true. If any change, Rand's idea is correct as usual. We should post all new ideas and then just wait for him to come around and finish the new ideas.

This weekend would be cool but looks like the list is short up there so it may not be many noticable changes yet. What are they going to do about the version number because this is beta for version 2.5. The last release was version 2.4.9, will the next be 2.4.95?
-
I still think it would be better if they where all one color in "my lighting" because the devices can be a number of options in that folder. Coloring a device’s "possibilities" is not as helpful as coloring device’s "actualities". It is very useful inside scenes to have them colored. Just my 2c.
-
Oh gosh is that correct, the colors line up with my in-wall and wallwarts so that is why I guessed that way. Geese I am batting 0 out 100 these days. I guess I have too many wallwarts on my head.

You would tap link it to the ISY then it would show up on the Replace with list. Then select it and the ISY does the rest.
-
I think the “Replace with †was designed just for that purpose.

Resolved Suggestion: Label Global and Local sliders
Mark Sanctuary replied to Mark Sanctuary's topic in ISY994
Thanks that is exactly what we need. Thanks this was a fun thread. -
Just make the violet devices blue in the My Lighting area because they are neither controller or responder in that tree view. They are just a device. The icon tells us if they are a wall wart or not.
-
As far as I can tell... violet == In wall mounted device blue == Wall wart device
-
I think he is partly referring to the violet in "My Lighting" which could be blue instead.
-
Chris, Can you start another one of these posts for the upcoming beta drop?
-
Sweet, I thought the keypadlinc buttons could be added to the status condition but did not think for some reason it needed a bug post. Thanks Chris

Resolved Suggestion: Label Global and Local sliders
Mark Sanctuary replied to Mark Sanctuary's topic in ISY994
First of all I am starting to feel the Insteon force but have not yet mastered it, young jedi in training. Waaamaam Waaamaam ((lightsaber noises)) I can unplug the ISY and most all my scenes work except for the ones I use a trigger like this one below as a pass-through then the ISY is running that one and not the device. If Control 'Family Movie Time Button (B)' is On Then Set Scene 'Family Movie Time Scene' On Really all I would like to see is a label on the keypadlinc load sliders that can’t actually store level/rates on the keypadlinc. Then when I see that I will know the sliders are “ISY Localâ€. This will tell me that I will have to do something like my little program above to get those ISY local levels to work. I don't care about the rest; I did them in the example in the first post with global/local just to keep the text centering and spacing even. I vote for Rand's popup idea, its a good one. He is very good with this Insteon stuff, I used his programs often before my ISY days. -
Resolved Suggestion: Label Global and Local sliders
Mark Sanctuary replied to Mark Sanctuary's topic in ISY994
Stored means where the link/level/rate data is stored. You always have a copy of the data in the ISY. You don't always have a copy of the data in the device. As in the case when the keypadlinc load with non-load you don't store the data in the keypadlinc only in the ISY. So your saying these would be the four naming options that would end up over the slider names like I demoed above? Scene == Stored ISY & Device Scene Local == Stored Device Only Controller == Stored ISY & Device Controller Local == Stored ISY Only I can hang with the Scene, Controller, Local idea if that is what you go with. The end result I am trying to reach is a way to see if the scene is going to need me to run it from the ISY directly, because it is not going to run with a complete result from the device. -
I just looked up the wiki entry for the different conditions over here.

And if you want to test it just make your time check a couple minutes after right now. If it works then set the real time you want it to function.
