  1. Not sure if this will work but try this... Create a program call "Away From Office". If Control 'KPL@Office - Away' is On Then update your program like this. If Time is 3:39:00PM And Program 'Away From Office' is True Then Set 'Cabana @ Back Office' On
  2. I am a bit confused myself because from what I understand is... Control = Button push fires event. Status = Current button status at time of event. But with status the keypadlinc non-load buttons are missing so we cant use status on them. By the way I added another example to the Vacation Button post. Check it out and see if it might help you out with ideas.
  3. I added the LED info and I also added another version of the vacation button idea.
  4. I think without being able to do a status check on the "Away" button it will not work.
  5. He is trying to do a "Vacation button" idea. If the button is on and it becomes 3:39 pm then run this program. So a range of time is not the answer.
  6. Sorry I did not provide this answer in the top of this post. I will add that detail at the top for others to find next time quickly.
  7. I think that is the only way you can do it because the LED on the non-load buttons of keypadlincs only follows scenes.
  8. Suggestion is to label a scenes sliders to show where the data is going to be stored, when the level/rate sliders used. ...It is either going to be ISY Stored. (ISY == Controller) This word controller is already used so instead the suggestion is to use ISY instead. ...Or the data is going to be Device Stored. (Device == dimmers, switches, etc) In the ISY gui most everywhere devices are called devices. ...Or the data is going to be ISY & Device Stored. Most sliders are doing this, except when KPL loads and KPL non-loads are in the same scene. Referencing other works is not necessary either because, the ISY uses different jargon than them anyways. (example: some works call them scenes but ISY calls them groups) Please note that the ISY has a small memory footprint so the long standing idea is less is more. A wordy approach would not conform to this. I really am just leaving it up to them to make a good choice, I am only suggesting the overall idea. Thanks for the discussion. I apologize if I have been challenging.
  9. Local to what, I see Michels point local to ISY or local to device? I am only talking about the sliders labeling in the scene list. Not in other places.
  10. Cool! A discussion on one of my suggestions; my suggestions usually sit dormant without much debate. I thought about it for a bit and there is only two places where the data can get stored. [*:tw8qbkyd]ISY [*:tw8qbkyd]Device And here is the three ways I can think of how to expressing it. [*:tw8qbkyd]ISY Only [*:tw8qbkyd]Device Only (not sure when this would be used) [*:tw8qbkyd]ISY & Device Although very good ideas; I think using the words controller, program, and scene is confusing or indirect in description. Plus the words controller and responder is used in the scene linking terms.
  11. Something like: "ISY & Device" "ISY Only" Do you have some ideas on the correct word(s)? I will sleep on it and think so more tomorrow.
  12. I guess it’s a brain issue with me; they are there in the Control condition now. If Control 'Outside Front Porch' is Fast On And Control 'Outside Front Porch' is Fast Off And Control 'Outside Front Porch' is Brighten And Control 'Outside Front Porch' is Dim
  13. All four of them are ( 2876S Icon On/Off Switch v.28 ) switches.
  14. Hey it works, thats cool!
  15. You mean all I have to do is flash the light off and back on after I tweak the “On Level Couldn’t that be built into the ISY whenever an “On Level†is changed the light gets flashed? And if there is more than one updated during a loop of changes the ones with “On Levels†changed could be flashed all together. This would make a complete solution from start to finish for setting levels with the ISY.
  16. I used this idea above and it works great. Since its both controlled by the keypadlinc and in the future my universal remote I don't mind so much that the ISY is handling it directly. Besides I can remember when the ISY/PLM has locked up lately, I think its been a couple of months since the last time. I will update my first post so it reflects what has been learned and discussed here. Thanks Michel!
  17. Can we add two words to the slider labels. "Global" for sliders that control ISY and Insteon network settings. "Local" for sliders that control only ISY settings. I have created a example idea below. Thanks guys.
  18. The controller device view in a scene does not have the "Apply Changes To All Devices" option as the main scene view does. Can it be added next to the “Copy Scene Attributes From *** Scene†button.
  19. I added two more steps to the above directions.
  20. 1. Create your 3 way scene. 2. Control click all three devices under "My Lighting" and drop them on to the scene. 3. In the "Confirm Move" popup window set all three to controller then ok. 4. Click on the "Three Way Scene" set all the scene levels so they are what you want. 5. Click on each switch entry and click "Copy Scene Attributes From Three Way Scene" so all buttons do the same levels. Your 3-way is ready and should look like this below. Three Way Scene _____ Switch 1 _____ Switch 2 _____ Switch 3
  21. I was one of the first on the new release so yes I did it this morning. Let me experiment some more and make sure I am correct.
  22. Oh this slider is for only when activated by the ISY. Thats confusing because my idea is set it a forget it. I only use the ISY to test and build my scenes. Then I use the buttons the rest of the time for real world use. So having a slider to only adjust launched from ISY is going to help in programs ...wait...wait... I could use a program to listen to the (non-load) to launch the scene. Only bummers are if the ISY is down then it would not work, and there might be a bit more of a delay when launched. If Control 'Family Main ( Movie Time' is On Then Set Scene 'Family Movie Time' On
  23. Yes its the same thing other than my KPL load is as a responder. Scene XYZ: KPL1.1 (load) ------ Responder KPL1.B (non-load) - Controller InlineLinc ----------- Responder XYZ scene should have a slider for the load KPL.1 button. But what is level slider setting? Is it the level on the load when I push KPL1.B? What is local level? hee hee
  24. The fast on/fast off gives you a second option for that switch even though it does not have any function for its load.
  25. I think that my PLM with its firmware 4a is having issues with the X10 stuff. It will do it one time then after that it does not work.
