I know that in the All Lights Program I have exampled here that every time any button in the house is triggered it rechecks the "If" statement for this program. So any time there is something that triggers your program it should update your program results. Maybe you might need a delay to prevent the Insteon network cleanup from reversing what your program is doing. Can you post your programs so it makes it easier to discuss?

The All Lights Scene Program Example is a different functioning program than what your doing but this program does the "LED follow scene" idea and it works great.
-
Because there is no Insteon command for the KPL to toggle the LEDs directly you have to create a "LED follow scene" that can toggle them. Then in your program you can use that scene to turn on/off the LED.

ControLinc buttons as triggers as opposed to controllers?
Mark Sanctuary replied to mdcastle's topic in ISY994
Ok I am retracting my logic statement then. I also vote for seeing the stored status somehow in the GUI too. -
ControLinc buttons as triggers as opposed to controllers?
Mark Sanctuary replied to mdcastle's topic in ISY994
Ok fixed the logic... Controllers that have no load and no status LED for its button should only have a "Control" condition not "Status" condition. Unless someone can think of a good reason not to it would reduce confusion to have this fixed. -
Ok I found some. I was wondering...and hoping that I am not being picky...could the [applied locally] be on the end of the name instead of the begining?

Is it on the KPL load when paired with a non-load of the same KPL?

This is how I did my Christmas tree lighting so the schedule won't be running all year long. I also plan to add the outside Christmas lights that I do each year too. Folder Conditions for 'Schedules Christmas Time' If From 1:50:00PM on 2007/11/01 To 1:50:00PM on 2007/12/31 Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. If From Sunset To 1:00:00AM (next day) Or From Sunrise To Sunrise + 3 hours (same day) Then Set 'Family Christmas Tree' On Else Set 'Family Christmas Tree' Off And I hope that we will be able to do it without the year like this which it sounds like that it's coming in a future release. Folder Conditions for 'Schedules Christmas Time' If From 1:50:00PM on 11/01 To 1:50:00PM on 12/31 Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. But I may someday have to go crazy and do all my Christmas lights on another controller system like Light-o-rama which lets you do stuff like this family Lindsay Lights Christmas displays. I love to go to these sites and just watch the videos. A thirty two channel Light-o-rama would be where I would start I think.

PLC = Get rid of them while you still can. Woohaha Woohahaa

The Holidays idea is cool, could the list be kept in an .xlm file so the user could add and remove their own holidays, example "Mark's Birthday" would be one I might add. Seriously though not all follow the same holidays as others so .xlm file would be great.

I am guessing this is the big discussion fix for color labeling of Local applied settings. I don't see it in any of my scenes so where should we be seeing this?
-
Michel or Chris mails it out. I am sure he will show up on the fourm at some point today.

You could setup a folder called summer time and set a date range that the folder would allow stuff inside it to run. Then you put your sprinkler programs in that folder and you’re good.

ControLinc buttons as triggers as opposed to controllers?

Rand is right... Controllers that have no load should only have a "Control" condition not "Status" condition. Unless do they store a variable for a fake load? -
Ok I added a couple more lines to the calculator and Michel has uploaded it for your pleasure. Enjoy. ISY PLM Link Calculator
-
Hee hee, ok I get it.
-
Why at 75%? What is the change for?
-
Let me see if I can figure out the counts for the EZIO stuff and add them to the calculator. I am sure Michel would not mind an update.

The busy query popup window has going spastic on me too. I thought though that it was my new PLM causing it though because my new PLM must have a much different S/N ratio for Insteon Signals than my old one. Now I am going to have to get an extra devoted Accesspoint just for my PLM. Why can't the PLMs just have the Accesspoint built in? Geese. So this is the only changes I can think of that I have done and now have a spastic busy query popup window. Upgraded ISY to 2.4.11 Swapped out my 4a PLM for a 5.2 PLM.

Hey guys, I put together a little java calculator for this question for all to try. Michel double checked my math and uploaded it over here. ISY PLM Link Calculator It is a close approximation tool because you can't fully know the average nodes in a scene but this will get everyone a close enough number to understand their setup. Anyone with a Mac? Let me know if this calc does not work for some browsers because it was only tested on Microsoft Internet Exploder. Thanks, Mark

What are the steps to swaping out an old PLM?
Mark Sanctuary replied to Mark Sanctuary's topic in ISY994
Thanks, I don't like having the house lighting halfway working. Well the new PLM lets one X10 message thru then it does not seem to send any more messages for X10 to the ISY. Darn I was hoping the new PLM would fix this for me. -

Ok I did the "Restore Modem" over and over again (about 7 time’s total) and finally it finished without error. I thought you guys worked on a error message that listed failed devices instead of the generic "Request Failed" error? -
Never even thought to try this one, thanks for the fix.

Same Button KPL/Scene Limitation (All On/Off workaround)
Mark Sanctuary replied to rowland's topic in ISY994
You can find out more info on the KPL functionality from Smarthome if you want to buy the developer kit; check out the details here. Not sure how much it costs now it was $99 when I did it a few years ago. I did it to see how the Insteon stuff works, cool info to check out if you like reading lots of tech docs and white papers.
