  1. Rand, No I did not rewrite the User Guide but I did rebuild the main Wiki page and ISY-26 page where I gathered everything I could think of and linked it there. I did spend many days reformatting every page to Wiki standards, correcting bullet/number lists, adding navigation linking, cleaning out html where it was not needed to be, basically touching every page it has. Flushing out bad links, merge pages, moving pages to better naming, and generally tried to make some of it link together better. I am going to start rewriting some of the sections that I know well because I know most all of the User Guide could be way better and easier to understand. With you knowing the product well, did you want to grab some of the sections and work on them?
  2. Actually there is more of this type of business waking up here and there over the internet. Ascend Acoustics sells great home speakers and they are doing this same business model as UDI by having a strong presence in their forum. People like being connected with their products and the guys that make them. I have decided that when I go looking for products I look into their forums first and learn if they are plugged in to them or not, if not I move on. I absolutely love my Ascend Acoustics, my Axiom Audio, my UDI, and my Light-O-Rama families.
  3. Error codes are now on the Wiki for your viewing pleasure. ISY-26 Insteon:Errors And Error Messages With some sorting, filtering, and formatting, I finished the list this morning.
  4. UDI is spot on...Thank you guys! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
  5. You need to create a follow scene for your KPL secondary LED so you can control it. [*:3hiajxc8] Make a new scene [*:3hiajxc8] Add the desired KPL secondary button as a responder [*:3hiajxc8] Add this scene to your program This is the only way the Insteon protocol can do it because there is not a direct command to the KPL to toggle the LEDs.
  6. Very old by at least 9 releases...we are on 2.4.15 which is a release candidate for 2.5 firmware. You need to email Michel at tech@universal-devices.com for the latest beta firmware.
  7. Which version of the firmware do you have, I am guessing it's old.
  8. Activity still shows Idle but the program table now has "nothing" in the status column. Even though it’s just blank the programs are still functioning correctly.
  9. I think there is a bug that when a device is removed it makes them NULL but when you re-add a new device with the same name back in its place the program looks like it was never touched. But behind the scenes the NULL still exists and your programs will not work until you remove and reinsert it. I reported it a while back but it looks like it still exists.
  10. Gosh... This is starting to look like Escher artwork. Far out man.
  11. The PLM modem language is too low level and cryptic for average users to program in. The ISY programming model is about as low level you would want to go.
  12. Just curious...even one handed why would you push two separate device buttons at the same time?
  13. Variables are coming; I think it was in the next 2.6 release.
  14. The ISY already tracks the device status. What is the second program for with the queries? Are there devices that the ISY is not managing so one of the lights could be on without the ISY knowing? If this is trying to cover poor communication issues wouldn’t it be better to fix the communication issues?
  15. Good for turning something on when you have a power outage.
  16. Chris, I updated the Wiki to mirror this post. So there is now a release notes entry there for when you want to update the final 2.5 release notes. Also I did a bunch of Wiki cleanup on the Main page and ISY 26 - Insteon table of contents page.
  17. The pronto would need to have network access to get to the IYS database which knows the status of the Insteon network. I don't think anyone has a program as such at this point for the ISY. www.remotecentral.com has the best list of all the pronto scripts, icons, etc but again I don't think it has been written yet.
  18. The coolest new thing I have the ISY doing is turning on and off my radio transmitter for my 32 channel Light-O-Rama Christmas show.
  19. This one also seemed strange to me too. Having to select first then re-click to drag. The tricky part is it might be a built in part of the java tree widget so may not be changeable.
  20. I thought they had widened the combo box widgets to 3 chars wide so this would go away. I guess it's still not fixed.
  21. Or an automation program that will "turn the lights back on" after the tryptophan from the turkey kicks in and knocks me out.
  22. Happy Thanksgiving! All home automation friends; enjoy the family, friends, and good food.
