  1. Nope that is not a demo, that link launches your ISY. There may be a bug for Firefox. Try emptying your browser cache, that might fix it. Also what verson of the ISY firmware do you have?
  2. Why don't we re-request the enhancement for the ISY that would simplify this. I have done this several times and it would be nice if it was easier. Status Scene
  3. This discussion always goes big when it comes up so here is the simplest answer I can think of. PLM == modem PLC == modem & controller (in one package) PLM + ISY == modem & controller (in separate packages)
  4. I don't know because there has not been a new version of the firmware yet that autoupdate works with. It was turned on in 2.6 and we are still at 2.6 firmware. Which means older versions of the firmware will not work either.
  5. I leave my ISY window open all the time with no issue, but it's on a local network.
  6. This is the correct answer, except for I think the AutoUpdate username and password are embedded into the ISY code so all you would be doing is logging into your ISY, then OKing the upgrade. It does not know, you would have to check the forum or manual download page from time to time.
  7. Dude you may have just help me figure out my X10 issue. Thanks!
  8. That is correct.
  9. I'll add it! Thanks!
  10. Rand, hey you did not have that on the Arg list you gave me. I added this to the Program Commands list...life's good.
  11. I guess yes. Michels turn. But what would it do with the IR data that might be added to any new backups?
  12. From what I understand its... The 'Status column' displays the status of the If statment for each porgram at that moment in time. ...a small stab, I am sure its not the best answer.
  13. Ok every box has something in it, now to make it more precise and detailed. Program Commands
  14. PC costs $$$$ and the clock sucks... ISY costs $$$ and the clock is good... Knowing what time it is... Priceless!
  15. I am going to create a Wiki "How to" entry on "Replacing a device". I think it would be helpful for users that have not done it before.
  16. Michel, the cool thing is you can sit back and look at all the “command set†you guys have created. Good job to UDI because it looks to me this is not a bad little command set, very functional and complete for a first pass design!
  17. This post might be helpful for the Notification stuff. I think Notification works for most users but this post does talk about a bug in it so browse thru it.
  18. Lots of work to do still, so now is a good time to throw down any ideas you might want to suggest.
  19. In the Wiki I am working on a Program Commands list for the ISY. Please check it out; it's still in the works so pardon the dust. It loosely follows the style of the O'Reilly "in a Nutshell" programming books.
  20. Really this "Device Properties" window is a little misleading, it really is a "Device Details" window for the Typology Table. It has no actual properties functionality, because nothing behaves differently with anything changed in this window. As for the resetting of your data, that would be a mystery because nothing controls this data it's all entered but the user. Once there was a quick discussion (I think it was Rand that mentioned it) about how the INSTEON protocol had some device callback that could check if there was an actual load wired to a device, but I am not sure about this. If so, the detail could be preset buy the ISY.
  21. That is strange; there might be something wierd in the time stamp code, or the main clock display code.
  22. Now I remember. That was the idea. I second that! It would be great to be able to run a program including the 'If', but not to take away the selective run either. So we could have three possible actions: Run Program 'ThisProgram' Run Program 'ThisProgram' (Then Path) Run Program 'ThisProgram' (Else Path) The first would run the 'If'. This seems semantically more clear to me, in that when you 'run the program' (first line), you're running the whole program, including the condition; when you run a specific part, it is clearly labeled in the other lines.
  23. Rand, If your going to make the command list for the ISY, and want it spread-sheeted in the Wiki. I can do this for you if you dump it out of Excel in a CSV file. I have a easy way to turn it into a table for the Wiki. I did it for Michel for the Error Code List real quickly.
  24. Rand, That is a good little tip about switching a KPL that already exists in the ISY. I am going to add it to the KPL how to in the wiki.
  25. Toggle off the "Daily" option.
