ScottAvery Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 it is a tough decision to be forced to make before trying the product whether or not to pay an extra $20 for a feature you may not like. I have been programming timers in the admin console for years and have not really yearned for the on-demand timer capability, but perhaps my wife would use it. I have installed the lite version but that just proves it works. Are any of you getting value from that feature? Could you give an example? Are there advertisements for orchestrated home built in to it other than the promo code?
InsteonNut Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hi Scott, There are no advertisements built into the Orchestrated MobiLinc app. If you are comfortable with ISY programming then OML/Resource Manager wouldn't give you much value. It was designed to solve some of the common problems like: - Setting up timers for devices and scenes. - Configuring a device or scene to turn off after X minutes. - Configuring a device or a scene to respond to motion. If you'd like to give this functionality to others in the household then Orchestrated MobiLinc would be a good option. Another option is to go with MobiLinc HD and then purchase the Resource Manager plug-in when ready. The combination of the two is equal to Orchestrated MobiLinc. Let me know if I can help answer any other questions. Wes
ScottAvery Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 thank you for the candid response. I am curious if any of the users with significant installations might still find it useful for ad hoc timers or the like. Are there new features planned for that module?
InsteonNut Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Speaking for myself, I can setup/adjust multiple timers faster than it takes to boot the PC. I save the more advanced configuration/programing for when I've got time to sit at the PC to setup. We've been collecting feedback on the Resource Manager and we're always looking to see how the community is using it and how we can improve/add to it. Wes
ScottAvery Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 I went ahead with the orchestrated ML version, but there are lots of issues to resolve with the basic functionality before I will get to trying the timers. Looks like I will have to rebuild a lot of scenes as any with more than a couple devices are failing. Scenes with zwave devices are not working either, regardless of size. I have tried resyncing all and resyncing updates, but still get Bad Message errors.

ScottAvery Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 A fair point. I only used the zwave locks with programs before installing ML. Not sure where those scenese came from but I just went down the list testing.
Michel Kohanim Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Hi Nestor, Just to clarify: they do respond to normal commands such as on/off/dim/bright. What they won't do is to respond to a controller within a scene. With kind regards, Michel
ScottAvery Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 Can the energy usage page be turned off/hidden like other pages? It was not an option. I have two energy meters but they are not in use, so I would rather not see it.
InsteonNut Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Hi Scott, FYI: In the future, you might want to post this as a new topic since I'm not sure how this is related to the Resource Manager from the original poster. The different pages can be hidden under Settings->MobiLinc Settings->Hide My Pages. Wes
ScottAvery Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 I was guessing that energy management was an Orchestrated feature which might have been why it didn't appear on that hide my pages list. I did have a cameras option there, but not energy, but I did not buy the cameras plugin. Bug?
InsteonNut Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Hi Scott, What device/model are your energy meters? Are these Z-Wave energy meters or iMeterSolo's? Wes
ScottAvery Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 Zwave appliance modules with an energy use feature.
InsteonNut Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Thanks Scott, Can you send me the following screenshots in MobiLinc to support@mobilinc.com: - Energy Page - Settings->MobiLinc Settings->Hide My Pages - Devices->Zwave_Appliance_module details page showing the ON/OFF rows as well as any other attribute. Wes
