visualcoat
Through out the forum I see members talking about setting their home to "Away Mode" or "Vacation Mode". Would you guys be able to share how you are triggering this flag. (GoeFence, KPL, ect.) and what scenarios you using this for use this for? Link to comment
oberkc
I use a ketpad button as the key indicator for home/away. I can certainly control it rematelt, but I have not automated the status...all manual. If I were to automate it, i might do so via mobilinc ad location. I might actually prefer it based on schedule, but i do not see a practical solution to make that happeb. I have decided it is simply too easy to press the button when i leave for vacation. Link to comment
kissfan
I use a geofence via MobiLinc to set the 'away' flag. And reset it upon return. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment
tmorse305
I use the Locative app on my iphone via the ISY portal to set an away variable in my ISY. Link to comment
DennisC
I am using Tasker on an Android phone and setting a variable on ISY as described in the wiki. Link to comment
apostolakisl
Tasker sets a variable on ISY for me. When my phone loses it's wifi connection to my home wifi it sets the variable. ISY runs a delay on that to ensure the lost wifi was me actually leaving and not just a momentary issue with the wifi. Link to comment
kohai
So, do you all have your programs checking the 'away' status variable in their IF statements to determine if they should run? Link to comment
visualcoat
Has anyone integrated the "Samsung SmartThings Arrival Sensor" with the ISY994 for "Away" mode? Link to comment
apostolakisl
So, do you all have your programs checking the 'away' status variable in their IF statements to determine if they should run? Either that or you can put programs into folders that are activated/deactivated based on that variable. I also use the status of my elk. Some things are based on whether I am home, others on whether my wife is home, and others yet are based on if anyone is home. Link to comment
stusviews
I prefer depending entirely on the state of a Keypad button that I can turn on upon leaving or using an app or the portal. AwayFolder Conditions for 'Away'If Status 'Keypad Button' is 100% And Status 'Keypad Button' is not Off Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. Link to comment
