smokegrub
I will be making the leap to v. 5 in a few weeks. I have tried unsuccessfully to determine if the Insteon Siren 2868-222 is now fully supported. I would appreciate a status. Link to comment

smokegrub
I am currently using Stu's BuzzLinc and it has done well. I want to do comparison. Link to comment
Brian H
Depending on the buzzer you used. The Siren Module will be much louder. Try it leaving the optional plastic piece over the sound port first. Mine is painful when you are close and the sound port fully open. Link to comment
Westnedge
I also bought the 2868-222 Siren and I'm at v.4.6.2. I believe this is the current build. Is the v.5 you mentioned a beta version? My siren isn't supported with v.4.6.2. Link to comment
Brian H
The latest version is 5.0.12. Listed as Alpha status. Though many here are using it. https://forum.universal-devices.com/forum/108-50/ 4.6.2 is the latest released version and as you have found. The Siren Module is not supported. Along with the short lived Alert Module. Edited June 23, 2018 by Brian H 1 Link to comment
CoolToys
Anyone know why these aren't supported? I upgraded to 4.7.3 while troubleshooting a link to my ELK and suddenly my door bell stopped working. I use a relay from a button on the keypad at the gate to close the remote relay and trigger the buzzer. Other than being a bit loud it worked fine for over a year, and with the new update it shows as "unsupported device" Why would UDI drop a device that had been working? Link to comment
Brian H
Support was not added in any version 4 firmware. I understand it is in the version 5 of firmware. Was the Siren Module linked through the ISY994i or manually linked? Edited November 16, 2018 by Brian H 1 Link to comment

A little afraid to update to a beta but since the siren is my only door bell, here goes nothing.... Link to comment
CoolToys
Well it was nothing, at least so far. IN 5.0.14(beta) the siren was found but has four functions that appear to be tied to the alarm only. Ironically I still can't get the elk to communicate with the ISY. With 4.6.1 and older, I had it set up so when the relay closed the siren sounded a chime. I have found the chime feature, but I can't trigger it with a scene or a program that I have figured out. If I do, I'll post it. Edited November 17, 2018 by KC10Brain Link to comment
RichTJ99
Hi, Sorry to revive an old topic but I am running 4.7.3 and am looking to use the Insteon Siren. Is that possible or do I need to upgrade to 5? Rich Link to comment
simplextech
I'm also curious if/when the Insteon Siren will be supported or not. I was thinking of buying a couple while on sale. Link to comment
Brian H
In an early reply to this thread. It was indicated the Siren Module is supported as of V5.0.9. I know my V4.7.3 does not. Is an unknown model module . Link to comment
lilyoyo1
I know the new version of the siren works with the 5.0 Link to comment
Bumbershoot
Somewhere in the forum there is a post from UDI that indicates there would be no new Insteon devices (such as the siren) for the 4.x.x firmware series (which would mean more releases in the series), so the 5.x.x series is required. Sorry, but I haven't found the specific post... Link to comment
jzh
i just tested, in 5.x.x the siren is OK 1 Link to comment

KenUD
i installed 5.xx and now see the siren is supported. I added it to ISY but I am confused by all the settings. Is there some description on how to set it up? Link to comment
