How to set up ISY for first time

Good morning,

I bought the ISY994IZW  IR Pro and the PLM. I hooked it up my switch and started to go through the quick guide.  I updated the Java script, downloaded the admin.jnlp file, and went to the location: https://isy.universal-devices.com/994/ & https://www.universal-devices.com/99i/  but I never saw a login screen to put in Admin/Admin.

When the admin file opened up, it just shows an ISY finder, but the ISY did not appear. I did a factory reset on the PLM and ISY, but still nothing. Only 1 blue light is showing up on the ISY, and the green light is showing on the PLM

I have my Verizon router hooked up to my switch, which is then hardwired to my EERO wifi system.

Any thoughts or tips for me?

Thank you for the help,

Zach

Hi Zach,

I think you are using the wrong URL. Please try https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp . This is new and will figure out which version of UI to load for you.

If that does not work:

Are you certain your ISY is on the same network as your computer? When you reboot ISY, do you see this pattern on the front

If you are still having issues, please do not hesitate to contact our support (links below).

With kind regards,
Michel

You'll need to click save instead of open... IE (and chrome) no longer support launching java applets.

Save start.jnlp to your desktop. Double click that icon with the java coffee cup on it.

I would suggest deleting the downloads and uninstall Java if it partially installed. Shutdown the computer completely and restart. After a cold restart, disable antivirus protection and re-download what you need .

tried to clear Java cache....same error message comes up.....I have another question: Do I have to have ISY994 Admin Console on my PC? Can I access it thru web browser?....

Another question : when I go to my Network place on PC, I don't see my ISY 994i Mobil Link....Does this has anything to do with the fact I can not download ISY994 Admin Console?..Thanks
