pgattu
When I ask Alexa to control a device, it responds with “(device) isn’t responding. Please check its network connection and power supply.” Things I tried to resolve the issue, but haven’t worked: 1) reboot ISY 2) disable ISY skill and enable it Anyone had this issue and know how to resolve it? Geddy
Have you actually added the device via the ISY Portal? ISY portal -> Select Tool -> Connectivity -> Amazon Echo -> Device (along the top) Once added in ISY Portal you have to tell Alexa to Discover devices (say, "*wake word*, discover devices"). Once discovered things should work. To check if there is anything there currently goto https://alexa.amazon.com and click on "Smart Home" along the left side. That should show you what devices Alexa knows. NOTE: If you add spoken in the ISY Portal make sure they are unique and different sounding as sometimes Alexa cannot understand multiple word items and just gets confused. Hope that helps! GPG
I am having this same problem. I first noticed it yesterday. This morning I was able to use a voice command to turn on some lights, but now it is not working again. All my devices are showing up in the Alexa app. I have rebooted all devices: cable modem, router, echos etc. I am now getting the verbal error message from Alexa that the "device is not responding", but after a few minutes it device turns on. This happened earlier today also, but the delay was more like 20 minutes. I am thinking this may be a problem with the Alexa server. Link to comment
Geddy
Odd...not at home so can't test my own Alexa for commands, but know I haven't had any issues when attempted over the last few days. Perhaps it is an intermittent issue with the Alexa and ISY app. Maybe @bmercier can chime in to see if there's something going on. He seems to be a solid link between ISY/Alexa operations. Michel Kohanim
@pgattu, I already responded to your ticket. The first thing would be to check ISY error log. With kind regards, Michel Link to comment

There are many devices setup for voice control. I am not a new user. I had the voice control setup for a few years now and it has been working until recently. Link to comment
pgattu
I am attaching the error log for the past few days. ISY error log.txt Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
@pgattu, You have dangling node server in the cloud that does not exist in ISY. This is causing major connectivity issues. Please make sure your ISY and PGC are in synch. Also, forum is not tech support. With kind regards, Michel Link to comment

With kind regards, Michel Hmmm... maybe I misunderstood the purpose of the forums. I thought it can be used to get a wider range of solutions for hardware/software issues. Anyway, I will take this issue offline and work with UDI tech support team. Link to comment
