Reset Network Settings or Factory Reset of Polisy

Hi All,

Still getting my feet wet with Polisy.

1. I've tried to reset the network settings according to the instructions sent with it, "Press and hold the button till the first and second LEDs (from the left) start blinking then release.". I got into this situation by messing with the wifi settings and something is amiss.

2. When I push in the button, the lights blink quickly from 1 to 2 to 3.  I've tried many times, but cannot seem to get it to reset either the network settings or even a factory reset.

3. What am I missing?

Any support is greatly appreciated.

Follow directions for factory reset down at the bottom of this link.

To factory rest you need to hold button down until all lights blink.

Thanks @DennisC

I’ve tried resetting according to the instructions contained in the link but no go.  I may have an early unit that had issues with resets.

Hmm, have tried using SSH and updating? Refer to same document and do the suggested updates and try again.

I’ll be trying again today.  I just updated and will give it a go and report back.  I also screwed up the WLAN / WiFi settings so I’ve got to fix that 1st.  It’s all good so far.

I didn't find the reset button reset everything no matter what length of time I held the reset button in, or how many upgrades I did. Power cycling it didn't change anything either.

Michel had to remote in, and stopped and then restarted udx to reset comm options.  If you installed a .env file it had to go first.
Once any .env options were installed via the .env file and read, they do not return to normal if you remove them or the .env file. I returned to HTTPS comms.

@jmpnjimbob,

Unfortunately this is a bug and we are working to fix it asap.

With kind regards,
Michel

I appreciate you responding as quickly as you did. Do I need to submit a ticket on this, or since this is a known bug just wait for a fix? Thanks.

It will come when it comes out. You are talking to the CEO of the company. He already knows.

I meant no disrespect and apologize if my comment was taken the wrong way. As a relatively new user I just wasn't sure if I needed to submit a ticket (in case my name needed to be added to a list or something) or if there were any other steps I needed to take other than waiting for the fix.

I've found a lot of useful advise here on the forums and whenever I've posted a question have had very quick responses.

Thanks

Not a problem. I didn't take it as disrespect and no apology needed.  I just thought you might have missed the point it was already being worked on, so it obviously was previously reported.

All is good! Yes, this forum is awesome and helped me and so many others. It is one of ISY994s best features with such an awesome supplier (UDI) and people that love to help each other.
