Difficulty connecting to Polyglot Cloud and Weather Module

Hi

Pretty much out of the blue (last night) I can no longer connect to Polyglot from the portal. The page sits there "Loading ...." forever. Most times it does this refusal to Load while authenticating. However, on the rare occasion the Dashboard loads (after serveral minutes of "Loading ...") it reports I have successfully logged in but the Dashboard does not recognize my ISY, it MAC Addr or any of the nodes I use. On the flip side my ISY cannot connect to any of the Node Servers such as DarkSky.

So far I've tried several soft and hard reboots of my ISY, rebooted my router etc.

Any other suggestions?

Much appreciated

@bpwwer seems to still be having issues. When trying to get to https://polyglot.isy.io/dashboard it just shows "loading" for ages and never stops.  If I take off the dashboard and just get to https://polyglot.isy.io/ it will load, but doesn't show my ISY in the ISY list on the top right.

I finally upgraded to 5.3.3 and was trying to get some node servers, but doesn't appear to be loading right.

Not sure who else to tag on these to see if there's other issues or not. Maybe @Michel Kohanim can check in and see what's up.

This sounds similar to what I'm seeing too, I thought it might just be me since I have an "ISY" entry in the database that's special for PG3 testing, but it sounds like other's are having issues getting their ISY entry out of the database too.  I'm looking into it.

I let mine sit there for a while and it eventually populated the ISY menu and seems to be working fine now (unless I refresh the ISY list).

I don't think I have access to view/modify anything related to the running cloud instances so I can't do much else at this point.

@bpwwer I just let mine sit for about 10 minutes and never populated anything just keep getting "loading" spinning non-stop.

Maybe it will work come Monday!

Me too.  I seem to be able to login (as indicated by a brief message to that effect, as well as the fact that I can faintly see the normal stuff (e.g., correct ISY uuid) behind the spinning "Loading..." message), but I can't get to anything (e.g., dashboard, store), as now reported by others.  While the "Loading..." message is being displayed, I periodically get the message "Couldn't update driver to ISY" as well as "connection Failed. Error" messages.  From the ISY side, everything looks normal, e.g., my PGC nodeservers (Ring, Ecobee and PurpleAir) still seem to still be running.  Yesterday, I saw a variety of non-repeatable behaviors, but it sounds like the system was being worked on.  Later in the day, the behavior settled into the current situation.

Starting on Friday, there was a problem with the store.  I caused that when I updated something for the local Polyglot store and didn't realize that it would effect PCG.  I won't go into the details, but that issue has been resolved.  While @Michel Kohanimand I were trying to determine the store problem, we did something to cause the second problem, happening now.  Neither of us really understand PGC all that well so we're trying to figure it out as we go.

Does anyone know how to enable developer tools on their browser and report what it's doing when it's spinning?  The basics are (at least on chrome/opera):

- enable Developer Tools on the PGC page.

- select the network tab

- reload the PGC page

I'd like to see the last couple of messages in the console.

For me, it hangs after requesting the list of ISYs attached to my account.  Something eventually times out and the page loads, but the request for the list of ISYs is taking anywhere from 50 minutes to 20 hours before it returns the list.  My list of ISYs contains a Polisy, because that will be required for PG3 and that seems to confuse PGC so I'm curious if what everyone else is seeing is related to the getIsys request or if it's something else that I'm not seeing because I'm special.

@bpwwer not sure what you and @Michel Kohanim might have done in the last hour, but I was just able to log in and get it to display the dashboard within 10-15 seconds of logging in so that's much better and seems to work now. Since I went there before seeing this post I'm not able to get logged back in and have the issue again to try to collect any data. Fingers crossed it's "fixed" or at least working better.

Well...it was short lived...errors now. Back to spinning "loading". Sending log through message.

Hello everyone,

Sincere apologies. We recently had scaling issues due to a larger than expected volume which was caused by a few node servers with tight loops. This has been rectified (those node servers were nuked). So, a) now everything should be back to normal and b) if one/more of your node servers are missing, it's because they had very low longPoll intervals and had to be removed.

With kind regards,
Michel

Hello @Michel Kohanim

Would that include DarkSky (is it removed?). It still shows up as active but I can't stop or start the service - and my ISY is not retrieving data from it. Other than that I can login fine and my dashboard loads fine as well.

Thanks

I don't know if this is related or not, but about the time the polyglot cloud went down on the weekend, my Aeris nodeserver on the Polyglot Cloud stopped updating, though it shows that it's connected. I've eliminated the possibility that it has something to do on the Aeris side. On the ISY side I've updated the profile and re-discovered the node. Still no joy.

Any suggestions?

Even tho it shows connected did you try restarting it?

It seems like this resolved for most people a couple of weeks ago, however, I have the same symptom, even though likely a different cause.  I needed to swap an ISY last night and restored everything, including local Polisy, onto the new ISY successfully.  I also have no issues logging into ISY Portal and connecting via cloud admin.  I can get into Polyglot Cloud site, and it shows the correct ISY ID in the ISY pulldown, but if I click Dashboard in Polyglot Cloud, it goes into a perpetual spinning "Loading", as folks described above.  If I go to the Store and try to install something, it brings up the "Install NodeServer" box, but under that is says "undefined" and "Select Available Slot" has no choices.  Further, every number of seconds or so, i get a bunch of Red error boxes on the right of the screen that say "ID specified but ISY not found" for the old ISY that no longer shows up in the ISY list in Polyglot Cloud and is also removed from ISY Portal.  I am not sure if there is an issue in Polyglot Cloud with ghost entries for the old ISY.  But even then, I also cannot access the new one at all.  I even tried removing the new ISY from ISYPortal and re-adding it, but did not help.

Any ideas for how to fix it?

thx
