Does Nodelink support working with ISY on Polisy?  If so, are any special configuration settings required?

Nodelink should work with ISY on Polisy as any other Nodeserver will.

If you are asking if Nodelink can be installed on Polisy:

I just moved my ISY to Polisy and I'm having some issues with NodeLink communicating with that platform.  I get several error messages when NodeLink boots.  One is that the Node definitions need updating but the auto update does not seem to work.  The manual link takes me to a broken url.

How do resolve the 3 file not found errors?

Is there a new link to the manual file update?

Thank you for your help.

Hi @tmorse305 , Not an expert and cannot provide you answers but thought I would let you know, for what its worth that I have encountered the same errors for 2-3 months (or however long ISY has been working on Polisy). I have 3 WCLinks plus I had 3 or 4 other node servers all running on it all pointing to ISY on Polisy. It has been and is working great despite the errors.

@tmorse305you're back a few version, might want to upgrade.

What does the log show when you try to manually install the nodedefs with the button in NodeLink?  I'm wondering if the polisy version of the ISY doesn't support the same API calls (to grab the nodedef info).

@io_guy,

Good to hear from you!

Polisy has identical APIs as 994. Anything that works on 994 should work on Polisy. The only thing that's different is case sensitivity ... in short, whatever you have in nodedefs are now case sensitive.

With kind regards,
Michel

Thanks for the reply @io_guy.  See screen shot, I have auto update enabled but I tried a manual update.  The log indicates that I'm up to date.  Also I clicked the node update as well.  In the log you can see that it appears to have updated successfully but when I reboot is still says the files are out of date.  Maybe it's related to Michels comment about case sensitivity?

Hi Michel,

There seems to be an issue with the call (not the text inside the files).  NodeLink's calls to download the nodedefs seem to be returning a 404.  Is there a case issue with the call?  It works fine on the ISY.

profiles/family/10/profile/1/download/EDITOR/I_EDIT.XML

Maybe polisy doesn't like the caps in the folder or extension?  I'm copying my call from:

In Polisy the directories (EDITOR/NLS/etc.) are  all lower case,  994i will accept both upper and lower case.

Thanks,

The wiki should probably be updated to reflect this.

I'll get NodeLink updated.
