@lilyoyo1I bought some mini-remotes recently.  The return label had an Irvine, CA address.  I looked it up on the map and it was in one of those industrial parks.

It is an industrial park. The store/smartlabs use to be on Millikan ave across from the district . The offices moved down the street off Alton and the warehouse is now in a different place.

Ok you want blunt. I have seen you eviscerate people here. Not only eviscerate them but, do so while dead wrong. Your are right you are not passive aggressive, you're are just aggressive.

I don't give advice in many the areas I am an expert, because I don't have the time or patience to deal with you in particular.

I have personally felt the wrath of your temper tantrums.

I am however, glad to see you admit you are still learning. Now if you could read the basic troubleshooting flow charts and stop trying to jump to the final step.

Everyone is still learning. However when manufacturer turns out a troubleshooting diagram they do so with method and intent. Further there are basic industry standards on how to deal with different problems.

What is frustrating as a trained professional and knowing the correct answer and not wanting to post the answer because you know some none professional, hobbyist is going to jump on you.

I can only imagine the number of people who have either registered here and asked a question and felt the wrath or have browsed the fourm and not even registered.

If I were UDI I would have closed the forum or spun it off to keep it from impacting the company.

The guys at UDI must have the patience of saints to deal with shear toxicness of some of the stuff here.

Is that BLUNT ENOUGH?

Here is a tip, blunt is great for people you have relationships with, people who know you and understand you. For everyone else kid gloves. We have a word for people who are blunt to everyone, and it isn't a nice word.

I'm not going to argue with you on an online forum. Tried to reply via a dm but you can't receive them. So.... I'll keep my words to myself.

I have seen them go higher than $100 USD, plus shipping etc . is expensive.

I have been purchasing used ones since around December to replace failed/failing ones, and have seen the price rise drastically on them.

If sticking with Insteon and ISY, I recommend looking at Z-Wave switches.

I think this is a temporary thing.  If you have Insteon stuff to sell, this is the time to do it.  If you need to buy, I would just wait.  Similar to cars.  I think both will come back to reality fairly soon, by the end of the year or early next.  I just sold our 6 year old Tahoe (original owner) with 86,000 miles on it for 60% of the new price.  I hear that people who bought a used car a couple years ago can sell at a profit.  Our new Yukon took us 8 months to get (we ordered to build) but it came with a few features missing.  Heated steering wheel, lumbar support, a couple other things don't work.  They will supposedly retrofit those items when they get them.

Finally, I have never been very happy with the search on this forum.  I have often found that searching Google or Duck Duck Go searches this forum better than the forum searches itself.  Sometimes I struggle to find my own posts.

I also find the search here almost useless. Any posts, more than a few months old, are basically never found in searches. There are some posts that I remember vivid details of, and still cannot find them.

Let the ridicule begin because I have problems with it to. :):)?

@bhihifi Thank you for this.  Another example of me sitting at home being frustrated and not thinking that there was a question to be asked about how to do this better.  Tips and Tricks!
