smarthome_newbie Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 If I dim the lights, the 1 light dims more than the others and when it gets down to 30%, the 1 light turns off completely, but the other 7 remain on at 30%. This just started today. They've worked fine for last couple of years. Any idea what could be causing this?
smarthome_newbie Posted May 1, 2022 Author Posted May 1, 2022 I figured out it's the bulb. I recently replaced the bulb that's having the dimming issue. I just tested by installing one of the old bulbs from another room and the dimming issue didn't happen. I bought the same exact brand and model bulb. What could be different from this bulb and the original one?
Brian H Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 I have seen bulb manufacturers change a hardware design and not change the description. That can effect how a dimming style LED bulb works. 2

But those are mostly just in lamps and fan kits for me. I don't currently have dimming bulbs in recessed light kits. Edited May 1, 2022 by Geddy added fan kits

I use all relay type Insteon modules as I am from a past where LED bulbs did not dim. Though the old one I still use have local control sensing and some pulse at a few second rate.
