bhogan Posted January 17 Posted January 17 How do I get the discount for a new Eisy, I have been a long term customer and have a Polisy Pro with all the add ons. i have no idea how to contact anyone at Universal Devices. I can not figure put how to apply discount. I like what you are doing however I just get a little frustrated. Bernie email bhogan@iwthealth.com
paulbates Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I think there were migration options in the fall. I think your best bet now is to submit a ticket, explain what you have already here and ask what if anything can be done The ticket system is their way of managing work queue https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets/
Techman Posted January 17 Posted January 17 @bhogan You get 12% discount by using coupon code 6QQGT9A9 (expires 1/31/2024). It's applied at checkout at the UD store UD Store - Universal Devices (universal-devices.com)
mmb Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Nothing for Canadians, EISY hurts at over $400. No wonder why I am not in a hurry to update anytime soon. 1

An Eisy with Zmattter comes to $648.61 incl. taxes. Then you may want to add Insteon support using a PLM. It's getting very expensive compared to my original $99 ISY994 outlay. I already have 2 x ISY994s and 2 x PolISYs. The PLMs would be reusable. Edited January 18 by larryllix 1
Michel Kohanim Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Hello Canadian friends, @ minimum of $45 per box, the shipping charges to Canada are more than any meaningful discount we can offer and still beat the prices from AARTech. I am so very sorry. With kind regards, Michel
jec6613 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Bigger issue for us in the US is they're currently out of stock. Hopefully resolved soon! I've got a few to migrate.
Michel Kohanim Posted January 18 Posted January 18 @jec6613, We just cannot keep up with the demand, which is a good thing. We have another shipment coming in 2 weeks. With kind regards, Michel 6 1

I guess there’s a price to be paid as an early adopter. 1

With kind regards, Michel The usually method we tend to see is to offer a factory discount through the vendor either by coupons to send into the manufacturer in another country or a discount aartech can advertise to promote their wares. Let them pay the shipping charges on their lump wholesale purchase. It must be much cheaper. 1
Michel Kohanim Posted January 19 Posted January 19 @larryllix, There's already a $30 refund for migrating to eisy from Polisy: https://www.universal-devices.com/tobe_or_not_tobe/ This said, I totally understand the frustration and I am not sure how to address it. We can definitely restart taking orders for Canada, but I am certain that, even with 13% discount, you would be paying more overall. Also, if we were to offer more discounts to the Canadians, then it would not be fair to the Americans. The best solution would be to have our own division in Canada and ship directly. But that would require 10 times the current orders from Canada. In short, I am so very sorry. I just do not know what we can offer that would satisfy everyone. With kind regards, Michel 1 1

I ended up having my Polisy in service - originally for PG2/PG3 and later as an ISY994 replacement once IoX was a thing - since January of 2020, and just replaced it with the Eisy this morning. Four years of service, and I could have ran it for another year at least before EOL, if not longer, as being x86 and knowing how FreeBSD works it could probably run for much longer, perhaps without new features. That's not bad at all, IMHO. 1

With kind regards, Michel Understood, I have four family and friends who I got into the ISY and they really enjoy the automations. Unfortunately the price tag is just too much for them to upgrade. Any thoughts about a discounted price for an EISY Lite? Maybe module purchases for Z-Wave and Zigbee? Anyway maybe someday our Canadian peso will improve. Edited January 19 by mmb 1

Or can we submit an order while they're out of stock?

With kind regards, Michel That doesn't seem to be available for Canadians. Aartech.ca doesn't recognise the coupon code and UDI won't ship to Canada, that last time I attempted a purchase. The $30 comes directly from UD but only for those who already have Polisy purchased from UD (not ebay). In short, if you were to purchase directly from UD, you would be paying more for shipping and customs than the discount. With kind regards, Michel

With kind regards, Michel Disappointing but understandable, EISY pricing is just beyond the reach of my family and friends - I got them into the original ISY. I'll make other arrangements for them when the time comes. They're all Insteon so their needs are straight forward.
