Anyone looking for a first-gen Polisy?

I have an original blue-box Polisy with power adapter and 3D printed wall mount plate that's looking for a new home. I've migrated everything to the eisy now and I hate to stuff it into a storage box. Donated as-is, the firmware will need a re-flash since it's old and had more than a little SSH jiggery-pokery. Cover the shipping and it's yours. ✈️

5/21 Update: It found a home, thanks, community.

If no one else is interested, I'd take it. I'm in Canada, if that's an issue.

I'll split it with you!  But who is going to be "the cloud" and who is going to be local?

Thinking. They host raspberry pi's online... how much a month would someone pay for a hosted Polisy with SSH access? 💰🦾😂

I think your head is in the clouds. :) :) :)

Would I have to text you to turn on my lights then?

Hah, we're hooked on UDI controllers because we eat and sleep local control!

EXACTLY! The longtime push has been "local, local, local". If we had cloud based IoX any blink of ISP dropping or crazy latency and the forums will light up with "can anybody turn "x" on?". Please...local control FTW!

We had an Interbet failure for several hour in Ontario a few years ago. Only one large provider was affected on their backbone. People were surprised when their phones stopped working, they had no TV, they had no Internet browsing and a few other services all dead. Basically there was no entertainment in any form. It was a big wakeup call. My side of the Internet backbone was only affected by data slowdown somewhat but it makes one think. Can I add my home automation to the list of dead items? How about Alexa information ,HA control, and weather info?
There was a lot of talk about law suits and legal actions but I doubt they went anywhere because nobody guarantees service.

I also have Alexa extensively implemented (mostly for the wife) but I also have an alternate way of doing everything without it. Whether it be seldom used mini controllers, alternate app (like the Hue app), etc. I just don't want to be stalled by an internet outage. Local control is king, everything else is just icing on top.
