Tuesday at 05:53 PM2 days Guess my first question is do I want to, is it stable?Current version is 14.3 / 6.0.3If i go to UDmobile firmware it shows current version as 6.0.3 with 6.0.0 being available. Did not give a warm feeling to take the update firmware option.Any advice would be appreciated..
Tuesday at 06:04 PM1 day With 6.0.3 you should already have eisy-ui installed. Have you tried accessing it? Just browse to your controller's IP address, with no port number (default 80).
Tuesday at 06:37 PM1 day The eisy-ui is stable, it is just not complete. It is not yet a replacement for the java ui. It is mostly just a place to view things, not program things. You can turn lights on and off and stuff like that.
Tuesday at 08:11 PM1 day Also beware that when using the EIsy UI, if you connect to PGX (plugins) thru this interface, if for the first time, all your plugins will quit and restart. It seems as if they create a new route. So then, the next time you try to access them directly via PGX, they will again quit and restart. UDI is moving to have everything accessable thru the Eisy UI, but it appears the routing can only accommodate one path, causing these disconnects. Personally, I am avoiding the UI until it becomes more robust and easier than the AC, which after so many years of use, is pretty easy for me now.

And since you're on 6.0.3 it would be a good idea to at least update to 6.0.4 just to stay current and not drop behind. I believe the suggested route (according to other posts here) is that UD is suggesting that you begin running updates in eisy_ui rather than the java admin console. I don't know for sure if one is better than the other, but some have posted here that it's been suggested to them through support tickets. In a browser go to: http://eisy.local/ and use your portal credentials to log in. (Note: you don't have to have an active portal "subscription"/license, but you do need a portal account - that's been necessary from the start of eisy (and maybe later in the Polisy days). Once logged in you'll want to hit the 3 bars on the top left of the screen to open the menu and select the last item "System". Then select "Upgrade Packages" on that screen. I think it might be in a different place in 6.0.3, but it should be similar to this or at least a "settings" option in that menu that might have the "Upgrade Packages" option. Either way in 6.0.4 it's how I describe it. There have been other minor updates pushed out recently (since 6.0.3) that are good to get as UD develops eisy_ui and continue to improve other underlying systems in their more advanced days.
19 hours ago19 hr If it's like for a few of us, just rebooting your controller might automatically upgrade it to 6.0.4 (if your current version is 6.0.0 or higher). If you get the eisy-ui login screen and log in with your portal credentials, don't be surprised if the screen is just blank. Just do a browser refresh.
