Blinking switches

Featured Replies

I have 30+ insteon devices that have worked for several years. I came home a couple nights ago and all switches have flashing lights. Some flash from green to white and some are just flashing red. Everything works and all are still in the console. I have tried restore on the devices with no luck. I have rebooted everything and still flashing lights. Help please

Have tried to go into the event log, level 3, and if there are Insteon signals being sent?

I've had a similar thing happen with what appeared to be a feedback loop, possibly between the eisy and sone lights. The lights controlled by 2 switches turned off for a couple of seconds, then back on. Repeatedly. Rebooting the eisy stopped it.

I pulled up log. All looked good. I have rebooted EIsy several times. No luck.

I believe it is possible to set Insteon switches to not blink the green/red leds for comm status. As I understand you, for whatever reason, the switches think they are failing when they aren't. Ideally, you would solve the root problem. But if they all work and you can't figure it out, you could just shut off that feature. I believe if you go into options on the device in the admin console, you can't click "no led".

I did this also. They all still blink. Every Insteon switch and outlets are blinking.

Another possibility could be a bad Insteon device transmitting noise or garbage. You might try turning off one breaker at a time and seeing if it stops the blinking.
